Still in utter shock about Karan's death

Water under the bridge, some may say. But, my god, I am in really sad about this turn in the story. I just saw alll the episodes around Karan's death and after, and I'm pissed, big-time. PISSED.


Kill Baa. Kill Savitri (Suryakant can spare one) or Gauri or Durga. Kill Kajri and/or Rasilibai, and let's be rid of this tiresome, whorish duo. Kill Nyati, and her self-sacrificing stupid self. Kill Ranbir or whatever. I DON'T care, but why Karan?

- do the creatives want to repeat yet another love story for Lakshmi because there is nothing else they can come up with? Are they going to make her a black widow?
- could they not continue the character?
- what now when Rasik is caught? Or Menka? Does the show take us on 10-20 year leap into the future?
- will they show Lakshmi pregnant with Karan's child? A next generation of youngsters and their issues?
- Oh, and please spare Satyakaam coming back. That is such a disgusting and nauseating thought. Because at the end of the day, Lakshmi and Karan loved each other more, and were husband and wife.

Sorry for this venting. I actually cried when I saw the accident, murder, funeral and mourning scenes. And I could not believe that Rasik killed Karan the way he did. Karan was awake and struggled to breathe to stay alive. And then he died. It was really startling and sad for me as a fan of his and Lakshmi to see. It was so cogent, cruel, so realistic.

Alright I am going to end my little (no, long) tirade with just this one observation. This show has become so feeble. Where are the love stories? The happiness? Couples being together and greater? Save the Ranbir/Durga "love story" which was as flat as a day-old opened can of soda. Nyati and Yuvraj? Hell, that crazy lunatic ex-wife of his (Kajri) and they themselves will drive each other crazy. Saraswati and Kshitij? Does he even talk to his wife?
I want Karan's character back but it's a bit hard showing that when he's pronounced dead and burned before your very eyes. Maybe it was just all a nightmare of Lakshmi's?

gp00 i know u have been one of karan's ardent fans since day 1 of his entry in betiyaan . Even I felt bad when i saw his cruel death . That was not the way they shud have killed his character .....by letting his enemy Rasik win .

i understand that they wanted yuvraj (karan) to focus on his role in waaris, but would it have been that hard to just replace him with a new actor? why did they have to kill him? and in such an awful way.

then on top of that allowing rasik back in the house, no questions asked.

well there's a bright side: karan was too good and too smart for this family, so perhaps it's for the best that he has gone to a better place

You know there has to be some twisted logic around killing Karan so definitively. At least Satyakaam was never fully "killed".
For all we know, he, like Surya, may be living with an indigenous tribe as we speak. At the bottom of that pit.

I'm not sure what that logic is. Is it to wipe the slate clean for Lakshmi to move on? Is it so none of the show's crazy fans hold out hope for Karan?

Plus, I don't get the murderous nature of this plot line. Switching babies, money and inheritance, etc. Who cares? (Apparently Menka and Rasik) Mowing down a good person/character and then, to add to add insult to injury, killed like a fish out of water, bouncing and flailing for a gasp of air. You creatives are sick people with a twisted sense of justice. Other characters get thrown off hills, etc.

Yes, Yuv M. had to move on and I'm happy for him. But why kill Karan the character? Why make it such a sad and unjust end to a sympathetic character? And why take away the only sane person in that dysfunctional loony bin of a family?

Sorry---still not happy about how things played out. After all those separations and pain the characters of Lakshmi and Karan went through, I was hoping they'd see their first year anniversary. Oh, well.

I do think it's positively wretched of them to kill him this way--on Lakshmi's birthday no less. As if killing Satya on their wedding day wasn't bad enough. But that is what this serial does best: manipulate our emotions.

I do wonder if Satyakaam will be back now, since it seems like an ideal time to finally resolve the story. You're probably right that Karan's death was a done deal so we wouldn't hold out too much hope for his return. People have been speculating about Satya's return to this day, so they probably want to prevent the same from happening with Karan.

That said, I hope whoever steps in as Lakshmi's new beau will fill the void and won't just be another idiot.
