Caught between TV and films

With Nach Baliye replacing Bluff Master, Vinod Sherawat, the show's gregarious host, has been considering film options. But he wants to keep that under wraps. Why? We can well imagine. He's a much bigger star on TV than in films. Let's Enjoy, an offbeat film, which was made on a shoestring budget, had him in a very sensitive role. But its selective release had him go unnoticed. It's his TV work that got him into the big picture.

Maybe he should take a few tips from Irrfan Khan. Even though Irrfan Khan has made it good in films, till recently he hosted the show Kya Kahen. But now it is airing reruns. We hear television no longer holds any interest for the cerebral actor. He was concerned during the show because he didn't want viewers to be misled on the supernatural element. He is open to anchoring more shows, but wants no part of any soap.

Irrfan Khan has come a long way from Banegi Apni Baat! But he first broke on to the big scene in this film called The Warrior and had festival audience guessing where he had sprung from! That is because none had been seeing him on TV, so is Irrfan Khan's tryst with television over?
