Gujaratis better known as 'Gujus' are common on TV like this show. Many of them are presented with big houses and lots of money. I am a gujarati but my perception of a Gujarati is much different to those who are not a Gujarati.

What do you think? Do you think gujaratis are stereotyped too much?

Love to hear your perceptions of your 'Guju'😉😛.

I'm a proud Gujju, but I think that they are showing this from a perspective where the rules are very stringent, so I am not sure this represents the typical family nowadays.

I am a gujju too. The shows are stereotyping gujju and punju families a lot. The way they show Mansukhlal's family - that system existed; but not anymore. They show that they are living in Bombay and we all know how we Mumbaiyyas are.

I do not think that the shows are broadcasting real life - I mean who in their real senses goes to cook with that much jewelry and extremely pricey saris??

I'm G-U-J-J-U hehe 😆 like in Kal Ho Na Ho...ok moving on
My life style is waaaaaaaaaaay different. We live in a decent sized house, not sum huge mansion. Nd we arent rich.
Nd the way this show shows Manshuk in charge of the women is nothing like in my house. We are all equals. Except that i'm a little spoiled.

These serials for the most part just show their own made up bull....
