The Vampire Diaries-Written Update (Memory Lane, Epi 4, Season 2)
FLASHBACKS will be in ITALIC
Stefan and Kat are dancing. The two talk about how Damon is upset about Kat asking Stefan to escort her to the ball. A while later, Elena appears..she starts talking with Damon and Stefan stops dancing upon seeing his girlfriend.
He's about to approach them but they leave by the time he gets there. He opens the door and enters the Mystic Bar & Grill (present time). He sees Elena standing beside a pool table smiling. She says "your turn" and Stefan thinking she was talking to him, starts to walk toward her but Damon appears in front of him and walks over to Elena. The two kiss and Stefan stands there with tears in his eyes. Katherine reappears out of thin air beside him and she tells him that she loves him.
The scene switches back to the ball where Katherine is telling Stefan that they will be together again, she kisses him and then hugs him.
Stefan wakes up gasping. Katherine who was in his arms, asks if he was okay. Thinking it was Elena, he tells her that he just had had a bad dream.
Suddenly realizing that Elena wasn't suppose to be with him, he got up and glared at Katherine.
He tries to attack her but she pushes him away and tells him that she only came back to town for him...there was no other reason for her to come back.
Elena is sitting in the bar & grill when Damon appears. She gets up to leave telling him that she wanted nothing to do with him.
Damon tells her that he'll see her at Jenna's BBQ. Elena asks him how he knows about the BBQ and if Jenna would appreciate having him there.
Damon tells her that Alaric and him had planned it to get to know Mason more and he picks up his pie order and then leaves.
Tyler demands for some answers but Mason tells him that there was nothing for him to know except that yes, he had become a wolf but other than that, it wasn't going to happen to Tyler so that was that.
Tyler asks if Mason had found the moonstone or not. Mason tells him to forget he ever asked about it and leaves to go to Jenna's BBQ.
Tyler takes the moon stone out of his pocket.
Katherine tells Stefan that she was responsible of killing most of the werewolves back in 1864.
Damon toasts George Lockwood. Henry tells Katherine that dead bodies were found but vampires had nothing to do with it but something else was killing them. Katherine promises him that she won't let anything happen to the vampires because they were her family.
Katherine tells Stefan that the Lockwoods have the werewolf gene but not all of them are wolves. Katherine takes the picture Stefan had kept of her and asks why he still had it and why he came back to town. Surely, it was not for Elena. Stefan gets up and caresses Katherine's cheek wondering what it was about her that still made him care. Just as she was about to kiss him, Stefan stabs her with Alaric's vampire instrument. Katherine drops down in pain and then faints.
Stefan takes her down to the basement and ties her up. Katherine insists that she only came back for him. Stefan takes some vervain and puts it on her cheek. Katherine screams out in pain.
George starts talking to Katherine. George flirts with her very friendly and Katherine tells him that she is a vampire. George looks surprised. Katherine tells him that she knows that he already knew her secret and she knows his. George asks Katherine what she wanted.
Stefan demands to know what she wanted when Katherine stopped right there.
Jenna wonders why Damon was coming and Elena tells her that he was coming because Alaric was a pity taker. Mason enters the kitchen triumph because he found the shot glasses. Elena leaves the kitchen. Alaric enters and the three toast each other to "dirty shame". Damon enters and Jenna hands him over her shot glass. Damon declares the obvious, that Jenna doesn't like him and Mason introduces himself telling Damon that he's heard lots of of great things about him.
Elena leaves Stefan a message and Caroline walks out of the house with a bowl of popcorn. She says that she cannot stop eating and the desire to have human blood was very strong.
Alaric comes out to inform the two girls that food was ready.
Katherine asks Stefan if he pretends to be human when he's with Elena, and he tells her that he doesn't have to pretend to be anything with Elena. He could be himself with her.
Kat asks if Elena knew that Stefan loved her but Stefan denies it.
Stef and Kat are walking up the stairs talking. Stef says some sweet things to her and they kiss. After they pull apart, Stefan tells her that he loves her. Katherine tells him that he didn't know much about her. She goes to her room telling him that she was just caught off guard and she'll see him tomorrow.
After she entered the room, and had closed the door, Damon grabbed her and pinned her to the wall. Katherine pushes him away and wants to know what he's doing in her room.
Katherine tells him that she's tired and he should go. Damon asks if Stefan's confession had overwhelmed her. Katherine chides him to not eavesdrop and then compels him to leave when he asks if his love was not enough for her.
Katherine tells Stefan that she had never compelled his love for her. It was on his own will.
Damon is drawing on a whiteboard. Caroline and Jenna are trying to guess what he's drawing. They keep saying puppy or dog but Damon refuses. Mason speaks up saying "werewolf" and Damon confirms that Mason was right.
Elena, Damon and Jenna are in the kitchen and Jenna tells him that he's never dated you, but she's dated many yous.
Damon sees a set of knifes and Jenna tells him that that was her mother's silver set. Elena and Damon share a glance.
Stefan protests that he remembered Katherine compelling him. Katherine explains that she only did that after he found out who she really was and she had to take away his fear.
Katherine explained that George had started using the vampires to
cover up his tracks and he had even told the founding families about them but he was willing to strike a deal.
Stefan asks what kind of deal and Katherine tells him that he had agreed on getting rid of the vampires in town.
George tells Katherine that he had spoken to Giuseppe and that the round-up was happening that night. He tells her to crawl out of the choir loft exit when the fire is ablaze and George will set her free there.
Stefan stated that Katherine had sold off her " friends", her "family". Katherine nodded.
Damon takes the pie with a silver spoon in it. He puts it in front of Mason and asks him if he'd to like start off. Mason takes a piece of the pie with his hands instead of using the silver spoon.
Mason laughs and apologizes, joking that he was an animal. Damon makes a joke about Mason being a "lone wolf" and they all toast each other to new friends.
Elena and Caroline are in the living room and Elena tells her that she's going to the Salvatore house to check on Stefan.
Caroline tells her that there was nothing worse than a clingy girlfriend. Elena says that she was just concerned. Caroline offers to drive Elena to the house and Elena agrees.
As their getting in the SUV, Caroline pretends to drop her keys and as she does that, she opens the cork of the tire to let out the air.
Stefan asks what George got in return of giving her freedom. Katherine tells him, that he got something he wanted desperately. Katherine tells him that his father nearly ruined her plan.
Katherine bites him but falls back as she realizes vervain was in her system.
Damon unlocks the carriage that Katherine was put in. Then he takes her out and lays her down. And the two brothers get shot.
Stefan tells her that they were trying to save her. Katherine tells him that she didn't want to be saved. Stefan is enraged at the fact that him and his brother died for nothing.
Mason reveals that he knows about Damon but he was not his enemy. Damon tells Mason that he tried to kill Stefan. Mason tells him it was a mistake and he didn't have any control when he was transformed. Mason assures Damon that he was only in town for his family. Once Mason leaves, Damon takes out a silver knife from a drawer.
As Care and Elena are in the car, all of a sudden the car stops. (Flat tire)
Mason asks if they wanted to go to the grill for more drinks. Jenna backs out and says no.
Damon also excuses himself.
Care goes on a full blown rant of how Elena was never going to have children with Stefan, and she was going to age whereas Stefan was not. She states that the relationship was never going to work. The tow approaches them and Elena leaves, deciding to walk
Mason gets out of his car and Damon walks toward him. Mason asked if Damon wanted to say some more dog jokes but Damon stabs him with the knife instead. Mason gets up and heals quickly. He warns Damon that now, he had made an enemy.
Katherine threatens to kill Elena and that gets Stefan angry. He's about to steak her but stops. Katherine demands Stefan to stop seeing Elena or else she was going to kill everyone Elena loved while she watched and then kill Elena while Stefan watched. Stefan lunges for her and warns her that he will kill her if he had to. Katherine gets mad and she breaks out of the chains she was tied to. She tells Stefan that she had been drinking vervain every single day for the last 145 years and it didn't affect her. Elena enters the Salvatore house calling for Stefan. Katherine steaks Stefan in the knee so he couldn't get up.
Katherine walks over to Elena who is shocked to see Katherine. She wonders how they looked exactly alike. Elena is terrified but Katherine leaves when Stefan comes. Stefan asks if Elena was alright and Elena also asks him. The two hug.
Caroline is in the bathroom where Katherine appears. She is disappointed that Caroline couldn't occupy Elena enough. Caroline protests that she tried but she's pretty sure that she got through with the "it's not going to work" conversation.
Stefan and Elena walk into the grill and Caroline apologizes for the way she's been acting. Elena nods and joins Stefan.
There the two argue and Elena tells Stefan that he couldn't let Katherine have control over their relationship. They couldn't let her come inbetween but Elena leaves when Stefan says that she already has. Caroline and Damon are listening.
Damon walks out of the grill to have Katherine in front of him. She wonders why he was so upset and Damon tells her that he tried to kill a werewolf but it didn't work as expected. Katherine tells him to stop trying because he was going to get killed. Damon tells her that if he does, this time it would be worth it.

Mason walks in.
Tyler is sitting there looking at something, he quickly hides is and Mason asks, are you still pissed? and then tyler asks, are you still hiding, mason nods, and tyler says then yah i'm still pissed. and then tyler says about that moonstone thing i might know something...mason comes up close and is like you think this is a joke?? Tyler is like just tell me...and Mason is like you won't be able to think about anything else and then...[i'm actually not sure if this is the right order..] then Mason pins Tyler to the wall and is like you have to kill someone!
Mason walks in.

Elena walks into her room and finds Stefan there. He asks her if she was okay. She hugs him and tells him that they were right about Caroline. Katherine HAD gotten to her. Elena asks if Stefan was going to tell Damon that they hadn't actually broken up because Damon was there.
Stefan tells her that if they wanted Katherine to believe it, then it was best for everyone to believe it as well.
Katherine walks across a clearing and stares at the full moon.
Katherine walks over to two bodies that lay. George tells her that her carriage was ready. Katherine gave him the moonstone and he goes to the carriage waiting for her there. She caressed Stefan's face and kissed him on the lips saying "i love you and we will be together again".
Katherine smiled putting a hand to her lips.
