Frankly, the only flaw there was in the show was the hoopla of double role. Major what the eff moment that was but chalse...hota hai.
Regarding the expression issue, see...this puppet show was shot for TV audience. Means there were supposed to be closeup shots and stuff like that. Agreed, that puppets aren't supposed to have expressions but we can't disregard the audience here i.e. people sitting at home. The director did a fine job with the entire sequence IMO. He didn't deviate from the original intention of making this a puppet show and still managed to show that these are actors acting like puppets and not some professionals.
And regardless of anything, any human portraying a puppet would be different than the actual puppet. If we would've gotten to this whole show without ANY expression on the face then things would also had been annoying ke ye kya? koi expression hi nahin! Given the scene and the circumstances, it was a very well put up show. Not just for the audience in the show but for us as well.
Biasedness aside, I really appreciate the actors, all four of them, for doing this puppet act so brilliantly. None of them had a single dialogue in the entire act and yet they so beautifully enacted all the emotions. They spoke with gestures and smiles and the look in the eyes and that is not an easy job to do! I haven't seen anything like this on Indian daily shows before. Or if it has been shown then I seem to have missed it. All my personal problems with CVs aside, I am applauding them for the sheer attempt of doing something different and delivering it 👏
yes, the episode revolved around the puppet show and it might seem like a 'waste' to many. But have you thought how difficult this entire shoot must've been for all the cast in part of it and the crew? This wasn't something one would've done in a jiffy. There was a lot of hard work put into it evidently and in exchange if it did take 15 minutes of the 21 minute run time of the episode tou kya farak padta hai? The sequence deserved it.
totally respect your POV though. I also do not like episodes which are only revolved around KiSha so no biggie. But like in past we have gotten so many episodes where they only showed KiSha, it's only fair that other characters get that treatment too. still, to each its own and hona bhi yehi chaiye 😊
