This is going to be a long one, so please bear with me.
KD has this huge misunderstanding about Kiya that makes him want to get back at her. That's what he's been solely focused on. I'm thinking that KD is being nice to her because he wants her to trust him completely.
However, at times when she's in trouble, he can't help but care for her. All those emotions can't be faked. That is purely my opinion. Somewhere within him, he knows that Kiya can't do something as bad as betray him; not after knowing that she trusts him.
It's like he wants to be proven wrong. He was testing in her Princy's office and he was testing her when he asked her to jump. He's probably realised that she trusts him more than he knows. But, he's also said that he's going to break her trust into pieces.
JJ has told him in this episode to protect Kiya by being her shield. He can't save her from himself, or can he? That's the challenge that he's going to face. In the precap, we learn about Banga blackmailing Kiya, but now, she's smart enough. She's never going to help Banga in a million years and maybe, KD's going to trust her bit by bit.
He said that she's hurt him the most, but maybe he'd realise his folly soon enough and quit the revenge act that he's going on about. When he smiled in yesterday's episode after she jumped, it may mean two things. Either that smile was genuine upon knowing that she trusts him or fake, upon learning that she trusts him so much that when he breaks that very same trust, she's going to be hurting just as bad.
However, I'd like to think that it's the former of the two. He also made sure her wound was okay despite not wanting to.
Anyway, that's just my opinion. KD's character is very grey in parts so one can never really know what he's upto. 😊
