And they're taunting , sadistic and growling at each other cause they know they're each others shadows and thus , make fun and accuse each other as collateral damage from the result of their lives. The illustration of an aggressive Kiya on the board had to be drawn through KD's hands...how could it not? As much as he loves to slap Kiya's sore spots on her face..he will taunt ,intrigue and mock as much as he can no matter how many snobs revolve around him just cause some part of him cares that she is nothing but a mutant for her sister..thats her reaosn for survival..and nothing else...I love the way only KD has the ability to push her buttons..realised how Kiya's mom bainshed her and accused her unnecessarily for her sister and all she muttered out was how much she hates her stone face. That's the extent to which he stays within her...even when her sore spots hit and slap her everyday..she murmurs in frustration about someone she apparently hates..thats how unconscious ingrained KD is inside Kiya..its appalling. When KD slapped all her wounds on her face , you know that he knows her in and out...because..this story is between two equivalently grey , confused , conflicted people who bring out the most productive and yet the most repulsive shades out of each other..KD knows everything that torments her , and Kiya knows everything that hits his conscience of belonging to a chawl...she ..just like his father..reminds him or deliberates society's whims on him of how he will always remain an insect of chawl who can do anything for money..both pinch , twist and prick each others bruises in their lives to the extent that they bleed cause they know that the only people they can poke and provoke all their pent up aggression towards ..is to each other :) ...KD reminds me of sociologist Oscar Lewis' thesis on cultural poverty...some members of society believe their poverty to be what God wanted them to accept as their destiny and so they stick o that "god given" position and ban any dreams to prosper further..and thats the problem with many villagers and chawl members in India..such as Keshav's father...How much both would love to believe that hatred mends them in the only way.. It is not pure hatred..it is because somewhere deep down I feel Kiya is scared of what KD can even begin to make her feel... -- and that is a continuous roller coaster of emotions...She is terrified of that marshmallow of a heart which can evoke a monster inside her and yet allow KD to be the only one to unleash and tame that fierce temper inside her...both of their carnal energies frustrate each other..and yet leave each other fascinated and intrigued..Both abuse, hurt each other fondly..because their feelings..whatever they are..it unleashes something midst their subconscious mind which they can neither live with nor live without...Abusing and sermonzing is their excuse and defense and they know that because they're each other's reflection in so many ways.
