After a restful weekend out of town I came back to see Paris Burning - nay, the Forum on Fire.
And in sheets of rain at the same time - these:😭
Ever since this toofaan is also with us at home - in a 3-fold way:
1. Manish going >>
- so HAPPY for him, for one must let a child fly out to make him reach the great heights he is meant for
- yet so SAD, because it's a judaai jiska ant hamein koi andaaz nahin hai...
Like for so many, he has become so much a part of our lives here at home, that for us his partir (French for 'to leave') is indeed a bit mourir (French for 'to die')
2. Faithful fans following suit = leaving the Forum, the place where I have so recently rejoined and found such loving exchanges, spirited posts, and encouraging and creative ideas. Can one feel orphanized at this stage in life? For that's how it feels now...
3. Jigyasa crying
- unlikely for Manu's leaving as such, because, logically speaking, the departure of an ML is not a spot decision. She must have been in the know for a long time ... But knowing your bestie (as we hear, assume, and accept) is leaving, and not being permitted to SAY OR SHOW anything about it for weeks on end literally can eat you from inside or can form a silent lake of tears;
- and so, when the dawn breaks of the departure day... the dam inside bursts ...
So sad for her, who is very special to us too.
And there is a special dimension to it as well: not only BF Manu leaving, but GF (good friend) Monica and GC (great colleague) Jatin too.
With a side-lined Bauji, a Vasu Ma who will be a sr citizen after the leap, and an eye-apple daughter almost cursing/hating her mother in the new track - WHAT IS THERE for an actress of the calibre, talent, and potential like Jigyasa in TPK - a show on the way to the mortuary itself??
So, yes, I mourn both Manish and Jigyasa - and the death of Thahaan.
