yeah use the help desk

but you have to have either photoshop 3 on your computer or paint shop pro to make an avatar- just google this software im sure you can find a trial version :)
for animated avatars you need animation shop 3

but you should probably go on the avatars/ signature shop link on the IF homepage and find tutorials, trust me when i made my first ones it took me forever! so good luck :)
