I came across a site,where you can download movies etc. While downloading, i noticed that there was some uploading also happening and i was not able to see anything more than that.

What does that mean? Is it that someone can transfer data from my machine as well. Is it safe.

yes someone can also easily pick-up data from ur machine!... i feel its better you don't get into these things.. coz they are mostly virus infected!
