How many years in the society?

How long have they been living in the society? They have never told us how old the society is. As they were not as sweet as saccharine in the initial episodes and used to quarrel (although that is because they have transformed the show now) they all must have been new in the society. As the years passed by, they became very close but I always wondered how long they stayed in it when the show started ..
