Jetha not meeting Daya before marriage went with his family bacground. Bapuji had old beliefs. Knowing how much obsessed he was with Tappu's marriage we can imagine how much strict he was during Jetha's marriage.So, it made sense that Jetha was not even asked before throwing him into marital life. Same case is with Babita. Watch old episodes and you will realise that she showed no emotion towards her husband. She even helped with household cchores which is now a taboo for the men of the society. She even enjoyed the attention Jetha gave her. It was like she loved teasing him.

Anjali was not this romance holic as she is now.
