Whenever I see him saving his phone talk time or denying giving his phone for making phone calls, I wonder only one thing, How much does popatlal actually earn???

As per the show and his favorite bragging phrase "varisht yuva patrakar" of toofan express, he has been associated with his job for quite a long time now. Popatlal's lifestyle is very modest too. I have never seen him wearing stylish branded clothes or partying or spending on luxury. Still he is getting his phone recharged just with Rs.20 or 25. Neither he is married nor he has anybody to support to I think (they have never shown so I guess) still itni kanjoosi...

One reason is he saves money for his future and for his family.

Second reason is he is kanjoos by nature.There are people who just love to spend money and there are people like popatlal who just don't like to spend money.

I just can't stand him haggling over vegetable prices. He is always paying less money to that vegetable vendor woman. 😡It is a surprise that she still lets him buy veggies from him. Aise poor logon ke saath bhi kanjoosi karta hain, toh wo hamesha aisa hi rota phirega.
