answer: Udhai/Undhai : As per different sources the name for his homeland is pronounced differently everywhere. I assume it's the same place having new and old pronunciation. You know like Bombay and Mumbai. Besides, I have rechecked both the villages exist in Gujarat. I have to give benefit of doubt here.

Ahmad ji, the round up thing is not accountable. I mean in real sense who were shown driving. Mehta too tried his hand on bicycle only.

Answer: I can recall 5 times. First entry of Bapuji was when Jetha could not find him in the station. Then he goes missing after Bhide's rude behavior, Then he was once arrested by the police which made him missing by default, he went missing during the paris tour and lastly because of that pamphlet track where he hid in a car and went missing. He didn't go missing during the Hong kong tour. Only Jetha was shown anxious about it.
