'Taarak' Artists Upset At Not Meeting Parthiv, Irfan

Irfan Pathan and Parthiv Patel may love watching 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' but perhaps they don't love it enough to meet its actors, some of whom are a tad disappointed that they couldn't meet the Indian cricketers in person.

A few weeks back, TellyCafe had first reported that makers of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' were contemplating on having Pathan as special guest during Gokuldham Premier League 2. As it turned out, Parthiv Patel was the other guest slated to come on the show. The latter made an appearance in the episode on July 1. Pathan is slated to come on July 7.

Interestingly, everyone had thought that the cricketers would be present during the actual shot of GPL 2, but as seen from the earlier episode, Parthiv Patel was shown having a mere telephonic conversation with Commentator. Irfan Pathan too is expected to make a similar appearance.

"The shoot of GPL was long shot. Neither Irfan nor Pathan was present then. Perhaps, everyone was expecting them to be part of the actual shoot. The director and a few other people went to Parthiv and Irfan's house in Baraoda. Ideally, the actors would have loved to have contacted directly with these cricketers. Some of them were a little disappointed that this didn't happen", said a source.

When contacted, Disha Wakani, a.k.a Dayaben said, "Ideally, it would have been nice to have met the cricketers personally, but I was thrilled to know that Parthiv and his family watch our show regularly. We didn't need to introduce ourselves, as Parthiv was aware of each and every character in the show. We haven't had a word with Pathan yet. Thus, I've got no idea as to what kind of appearance he'll be making".
