Chapter 39
The day Shekhar Gododia was fearing for last few days finally came he got a call from Durga Prasad Maheswari infect an invitation from him to fix his darling daughter Swara's engagement and Marriage. He yet not got over missing his elder daughter Ragini and its time to let go of his another daughter also. Sharmistha saw his sulked and Swara's lit up face after the call. She made Shekhar understand again that their daughter is going to marry love of her life and they knew that the family and Shaan love her a lot. They also can meet both their daughters as they wish as they will be at same city and finally she show him Swars's happy face.
So next Sunday they Gododia Family went to Maheswari Mansion to fix the dates. It was decided that there will a very short gap between engagement and wedding just 25 days gap. Both the dates fixed, the engagement will be after in next Sunday and the wedding at end of the month. Shaan requested if they could get married legally before the actual wedding as he wanted to prepare some legal paper regarding property and elders gave their permission.
After the date was fixed there was an atmosphere of celebration as everyone was happy. Annapurna fed everyone sweets and then all get busy as the engagement is going to be a grand event and there is a very short time to prepare. It was decided that the celebration will be in two parts in morning they will be engaged in traditional manner in Maheswari Manson with Puja and Rig ceremony in presence of family and close friends and at evening there will be a grand party in a 5 star hotel for all the elites of city, business associates of Maheswaries and all relatives. So everyone was busy in preparing guest list, party arrangements, Hotel booking, Menu, shopping list etc. while the couple was
Suddenly the symphony broke when a young man entered in the house in search of Sanskar. He was in great hurry and in all messed up attire, it was visible in his appearance that he didn't care for either how he was looking or what the people think about him. When he saw Shaan he went straight to Shaan and hold his hand "Sanskar pack your bag quick we have to leave for US." Sanskar who was shocked to see that man who was another fragment of his past there kept his hand over that man's "Raktim you here???" that man was impatient "there is no time in this already we are late and I got late in searching for you, first I went to your apartment and from therev came to know you are here now. Please hurry up we have to leave." Shaan was completely confused "its my home I stay here now. But where should we go and why?" Raktim, was expecting this question and he didn't wanted to waste time in 20 questions "Shaan we have to go to US. I got a confirm news that Kavita is alive and in Coma for last 4 years. Her family hid the truth from all of us. We have to go there." Everyone of the hall present was shocked and speechless in worry what will happen next, how Shaan will react. Will he leave Swara and family again after getting this news? Only three person was not worry first Swara who knew how much her Shaan loves her and what she is in his life, second Ragini who had this conversation with him regarding this and knew genuine thoughts of Shaan and lastly Laksh who knew his twin brother's intensity of love and emotion towards Swara. They knew what Shaan will do but they were also worried for him how this sudden appearance of his past will effect things and him. Shaan smiled "that's a great news that Kavita is alive I am really happy for you, you waited a long for her and sacrificed a lot for her. I wish this time after she get well understand and acknowledge that. Go Raktim be at her side but I am not going with you. I moved on in my life." Raktim was hell surprised with what he heard he never liked Sanskar much actually who will like boyfriend of the girl whom he loves with his every beings but he always tolerated him for Kavita. That day he came there for Kavita only as he knew she loves him but after that he stood there with wide eyes as his brain was processing what Sanskar said. At this moment Amrita came and pulled Raktim "Raktim lets go he has moved on and is going to marry soon." Both of them left the mansion and Shaan went to his room followed by Swara. As soon as they entered his room he closed the door and pulled her in a warm hug keeping his head in crock of her neck. Very soon they get lost in each other and made love there for first time. It was a need for Shaan to feel his beloved after one after one character reappear from lost pages of his past in his present at the moment when they were all set to step foot in a new life. Everyone thought that Shaan was upset and Swara need time to cool down him so no one disturbed them.
The preparation start in full swing from next day and Ragini went for the maternal home for preparation of her sister's engagement. Laksh missed her a lot and searched lame excuses to go there to see her. In this period he understood that he fell in love with her and he wants to confess that without any delay so he thought he will confess his feelings to her in Shaan and Swara's engagement day. After he realized his feelings and decided to confess the most important problem for him was how to confess and he went to Shaan to discuss it. When he said he realized his feelings for Ragini, Shaan left out a big breath "finally Mr. Fattu get that." Then he explained everyone except him knew it and now they discussed how Lucky should confess to Ragini and Shaan advise him to go simple "Go straight to her hold her hand and with all your emotion and love confess your feeling which come from your heart. Remember she also loves you." When Shaan disclose his conversation with Lucky to Swara she jumped in excitement that finally her Di will get her love also.
Chapter 40
These week became siblings' week for all. To make Lucky feel better Shaan proposed a 2 day adventure like their college days and he agreed as they didn't done that for long time. Adarsh also joined their team and these days they spend by car racing, long drives, play wrestling, doing gym together, their swimming competition, playing tennis in club, boy's night outs, eating outs in various places to taste various type cuisine, booze party etc. Like they used to do in their college days. They felt happy after spending these brotherly week and planned for an adventure holiday for 7 days in north Sikim where they can track and have fun after Shaan's engagement. They regret why they didn't do it before. One person was upset with this brotherly times and that is none other than their pampered sister Uttara eho couldn't join her brothers for her exam and upcoming function and will not be allowed in their trip as it will be full of adventure and tracing. She can't walk for long so can't think of tracking. She first requested them to change the place where others can go also but they said they don't wanted a family vacation they wanted a boys trip. Later Uttara tried to instigate her bhabies Parineeta, Ragini and Swara for unfairness of her brothers' dicission to have boys' time out and excluding all girls including them from their adventure trip but she again get disappointment when they told her that they don't mind it, boys need adventures and their brotherly time, they are engaged or married that doesn't mean that they cant spend time and enjoy with their brothers and friends. After getting disappointed from her sisters in law she went to elders and complained about them but to her bad luck they liked their boys' decision of spending time together like old days and already gave them permission to go to their trip.
On the other hand Shekhar felt happy that both his daughter were staying with them though for short time and he wanted to celebrate this. He planned a small family vacation of 2 days to Dhigha for 4 of them. They went by car and stayed in a hotel near see. Like old days both sisters shared a room and chatted a lot. Ragini told Swara about her days in Maheswari Mansion, her and Laksh's progressing relationship, dependency on each other and her feelings for Luksh too. She accepted to her sister that she loves him for months but never get enough courage to confess as she don't want to destroy their wonderful friendship and afraid of his refusal. Swara smiled to herself as from Shaan she came to know that Laksh also realized his feelings and going to confess soon but didn't reveled it to her sister as Laksh wanted to give her a surprise. She said to her sister that she believes soon their love story will also come in track. Ragini expressed that how much she missed her sister and support system and how much she is happy that soon Swara will stay with her again. Apart from their chat and discussing feelings both sisters enjoyed the see and family time very much. All 4 of them went to see shore at morning to see sunrise, there they both sang songs and many people came near them listening their melodious voice making their parents proud of them. They had their breakfast in see shore and later enjoyed having bath of hours in see while their parents watched their happy faces from shore. At evening also they sat on the boulders and watched see waves in full moon. These two days passed in blink of eye and they came back Kolkata to do preparation of the engagement which will be a grand affair.
But before the engagement another happy occasion came for Maheswaries. Sanskar was nominated for Best CEO of the year Award and Youngest CEO Award. Business association of India gave them good news was he won both the award and Maheswari Group of enterprise get the award of Most successful group of that year. The award ceremony will be held 2 days before the engagement. It was another reason to celebrate for Mahswaeries. Both Durga Prasad and Ram Prasad felt proud on their sons who in one year made all these progress and get this success.
In the press conference hosted by Maheswari Group of Enterprise Sanskar said "I am grateful that Business Association of India thought me deserving for all these award but its not entirely my credit. I as a CEO only introduced policies it is the stuffs who implanted them, worked hard and make Maheswari group reach where it is now, the no 1 position in this moment it's not a win for me or our family it's a win for all extended family, so I want to share the prize money and part of our profit of this year with our this extended family, stuffs of MGE according to percentage of their basics." All stuff members felt happy that their CEO recognized their effort and hard work without taking all the credit to himself, they knew he was a caring and employee friendly employer but they never dreamed that he will share this prestigious price money and share of profit with them. They really felt as his extended family. He continued "for where I concern its again not me without constant support of my brothers Adarsh Bhai and my twin brother Laksh I am nothing actually. Many of policy I introduced were their brain child so its time I confess this here. Thank you brothers for being with me though all thick and thin. It's not professionally also in a bad phase of my life they were with me, if they were not with me that time specially Laksh then I could never came in this position, that period he was my pillar my support. Then comes to my family my Papa and Chachu who put so much trust in my abilities and gave me this responsibility and position so early. I was not confident then but they were. Without my whole family's trust, love and support I could not come here they are key of my success. My friends Adi, Ved and Neeta who supported me unconditionally in my struggling and low period also and till now made me strong and fighter. You heard that there is a woman behind every successful man, in my case she is not only behind my success but also behind my every happiness, my sunshine, my angle descended from heaven for me only my lady love Swara Gadodia. She is the person who pulled me from my personal hell and bring me to light then filled my life with happiness. Lastly my would be Father in law and mother in law who love me like their own son and always supported me. All are there for me so I am here getting this award for my success, this is not only my success this is all of theirs"
The hall filled with claps as he finished his speech. The media get impatient o know the girl who stole heart of handsome the most eligible bachelor of this country right then. But he smiled and said they will get to see her at the day of the award ceremony.
Chapter 41
At the red carpet of Award ceremony Sanakar entered with Swara and all shutter bugs became busy to capture the picture of most eligible bachelor and best CEO with his lady love. Everyone there appreciated the couple and said they are made for each other. Laksh also came there with Ragini. During the ceremony Sanskar again thanked all stuffs, his family members and Swara according to him they were reason of his success. He called Adarsh and Laksh in stage as he declared that was a victory of all three of them not his alone. In the party after the award ceremony Durga Prasad declared about Swara and Sanskar's upcoming engagement and took the opportunity to invite maximum people from business circle personally for the Engagement Reception Party.
Next day every newspaper was filled with this news only. Maheswari family invited people with a beautiful card, flower and sweets for their son's engagement.
In a hospital of Manhattan an old couple also received a parcel addressed to them. They opened the parcel and a beautiful purple card came out from there

Mr. and Mrs. Chatterjee were really shocked to get that card. After Raktim came to meet them they knew that everyone came to know about Kavita being alive. They got first shock when they were informed by Amrita that Sanskar was informed but refused to came here as he moved on in his life with his family and became CEO of Maheswari group. Still they didn't expect Sanskar to get married though they wanted it for him and it was completely unexpected that he would invite them in his engagement ceremony. But that was not the only reason of their shock they were also shocked to see the name of the girl he would supposed to get engaged and married. Swara, daughter of Shekhar Gododia was none other than the girl with whom their son Koushik had an affair. After that incident years back Koushik who was a possessive guy said a lot of bad things to Swara and broke up with her. After 1 year he understood his mistake and searched her a lot but that time her parents shifted somewhere and they never came face to face with her again. Kush still searches her and waits that one day he would find her, apologies to her and will her his. Now they were really confused to see the card about what should they do? Their daughter's ex-boyfriend and their son's ex-girlfriend are in love and getting engaged and soon will be married. Should they inform it to their son or not. After thinking a lot they decide against it and kept the thing to themselves only.
On the other hand both Maheswari and Gadodia family prepared for the engagement. They had a puja and engagement ceremony in Maheswari mansion I traditional manner. Swara and Sanskar chose to wear a combination of Indian Traditional dress but kept it simple instead of making it too traditional like Laksh and Ragini. After the ceremony the couple came out to meet the waiting reporters who clicked their pictures and congratulated them. Laksh tried a lot to confess his feelings to Ragini but each time he tried they get disturbed. Sometime any person came between or other time Ragini was called to do some work. Seeing their condition Swara and Sanskar thought to do something for them in the party of evening.
At evening the star couple entered hand in hand. It was a grand party whole business circle, all famous persons, media and all relatives along with all friends were invited to the party hosted in a five star hotel of Kolkata.
Chapter 42
Adarsh who planned and organized the party arranged grand entry for the star couple of that evening. All people gathered there appreciated that they look great together. Soon Sanskar tagging Swara with him got busy to attain guests. Businessmen throughout the country came there and being a CEO of such a big group he had to attain them personally with his fianc. There was another surprise for Shaan all his friends from school, college and IIM were invited in the party and all of them attended as they were very happy for their Shaan to find love again. Though he did the formalities, excitedly met his friends, introduced Swara with them, remembering good times, joked with them and had a good time but he kept his eyes on his brother who was nervous to profess his love towards his wife. Before coming to the party Shaan gave a peep talk to Lucky and he looked quite confident but after coming the party he became nervous again. Swara also noticed Laksh to look at Ragini with dreamy eyes from far but not trying to go near. At least at morning function he tried to talk to her but here with so many people around his guts went out of the window. After exchanging the pleasantries DJ called the newly engaged couple to the dance floor and an idea stuck in their mind. After the first dance Shaan took the mic from DJ "This is a big day for me and Swara when we are officially engaged after 1 and half year of dating each other. There are few people here who knew our secrets from long and supported us an unconditionally. Today's celebration is not complete without them with us so I am calling few more couples to join us to the dance floor. Laksh, Ragini, Adarsh Bhai and Pari Bhabi plese join us here. I also want to thank my sister Uttara, my friends Ved, Aditya and Neeta, Swara's friends Niraj for whom we met actually, Akash, Sneha, Neha and all her band members. I am really happy that Adi, Ved, Lucky and Adarsh bhai gave me the biggest surprise and gift in form of all my old friends and I am really happy that they come here and multiplied my happiness to infinity. So please find a partner and join the dance floor please.
In second dance Laksh, Ragini, Adarsh and Parineeta joined the star couple. When Laksh came there before the song start Shaan murmured in Laksh's ear "Lucky I gave you the chance to be with Ragini without any disturbance now say her that you love her. It's your golden chance." Laksh nodded but he only looked mesmerizingly to Ragini but couldn't utter any word. Dancing close to each other affected both of them, their close proximity was making them both nervous and awkward. Ragini being a shy person and not habituated in dance in front of so many people became self-conscious with Laksh's gaze on him and made him more nervous. So after 4 dances also Laksh remained unable to express his feelings to Ragini. The party was going to end and Shaan became busy again with the greeting and look after his friends and business associates but steel he exchanged few glances with Swara enquiring about the progress. Swara was also busy attending both her and Shaan's friends who wanted to meet the girl managed to steel heart if their friend but her eyes freckled towards Laksh and Raguni. Finally after all gusts left the venue except few close ones Shaan went to Laksh and confronted him "What are you doing Lucky? You got lots of chances but still you couldn't say a simple sentence to your own wife knowing very well that she reciprocates your feelings. Its height of being a dump yaar." Lucky was already upset that he lost so many chances for his own nervousness and now Shaan's tease and worked up "Hello Mr. over smart you also took time to confess your feelings to Swara before you was forced to do that with flow of emotion. Infect I have all intension to say it to her but if that emotional encounter didn't happened till now you didn't have imagined to tell her about your feelings." Shaan looked at his pissed off brother "Leave what leads to what but the matter is we confessed our feelings and having an affair for 1 and half year. And for your kind information I didn't thought to confess because I didn't have any idea of her feelings and thought that she deserves better than me but the moment I get a wind of her feelings I didn't let her go or let go any chance to bare my heart to her. But you are not trying and planning anything to convey your feelings." Laksh got more upset with the accusation that he want trying to do that which he was trying for last few days. He said "Yaar its not like that I understood that I can't do it face to face so you know I typed a SMS for Ragini kept it saved in my phone but couldn't master the courage to send it." Shaan wanted to see it as if Lucky is saying the truth. Laksh showed his the massage "I wanted to tell you for few days that I love you Ragini.-your Laksh" Shaan looked to Laksh, appreciated that he expressed his feelings in a good ways and then hit the send button. Laksh was horrified with that "What you did Shaan? Why you did it?" Shaan smiled "You said you didn't master the courage to send it so I did on behalf of you." Both the brothers stood there while their eyes tried to search Ragini who was nowhere to be seen. Laksh was in his most nervous and cranky self. He was very much angry with Shaan for what he did. Shaan massaged Swara and wanted to know if she was with Ragini and what's going on there who answered everything was under control.
Ragini was standing with Swara and few other girls who were their relatives at the far end of the hall when suddenly her phone biped with an incoming massage from Laksh. She opened the massage with a smile seeing Laksh's name and get speechless. Others didn't noticed but Swara noticed Ragini's condition and pulled her towards an empty room. Ragini there showed her the massage and shed happy tears. She wanted to hear these three words from long back from him and its finally came she sensed that he wanted to say something to her but didn't thought this can be the matter. She was too much emotional and hugged Swara tightly. Swara got a massage from Shaan and came to know about nervous and impatient Lucky. She urged Ragini to reply him. Ragini's fingers were trembling while typing so Swara typed on behalf of her and showed Ragini. Ragini blushed, smiled shyly seeing it and finally hit the send button.
After nearly 7 minutes of Shaan sending the massage to Ragini's number Laksh's phone showed an incoming massage "I love you too. -Your Ragini." Laksh was in cloud 9. He hugged Shaan and thanked him for the same act for which he was cursing Shaan. Shaan smiled and hugged back his brother for new start of his life.
