Last two weeks have belonged to Sanskaar and Sanskaar only! ❤️ Take a bow Varun Kapoor, you upped the bar for the male lead of a television show so high that it will be hard, if not impossible, for me to love another male lead again in another show! ☺️
Right from the time when Swara's hand slipped from his and he watched his life plunging into the waters below to the point yesterday when he comes to know that Swara has come home to the baadi, his performance has been superb. Varun lived the character of Sanskaar and this particular track is for me the high point of his acting prowess. 👏
Sanskaar's missing Swara, pining for her, feeling her presence during the hits and misses, his conviction she is alive...all this was shown so beautifully. 😳 His expressions during the scenes were heart wrenching. 😭 The way he clung to the SS pendant repeating over and over "woh kahin nahin jaa sakti", his dance on the terrace with her sari draped over his shoulder, the tears that spilled over when he drank the tea at Sengupta house, his loss of self control when he saw the engagement ring with the diya and finally his joy at receiving the news that Swara is back...it was a stupendous performance. ⭐️
So far the CVs have been handling the track quite well. I hope they do not rush it and it is a track to remember. After the SwaSan fake marriage track, the story had lost its plot, but now I find myself waiting for 9:30 on weekdays and restless on weekends. 😊
Now coming to yesterday's episode, I was a bit disappointed though I have accepted it. When I read in a WU of some segment that Sanskaar arranges an elaborate welcome for Swara, I was taken aback! 😕 My thoughts were... would it not have been more natural for him to grab the car keys and make a dash to the baadi when he hears she has come home (leaving his family to follow) and on arrival at the baadi run inside and wrap his arms around her? 😲 I am glad I did not react at that time but waited for the episode to air. They made it fairly convincing how he plans the welcome, his excitement through the planning and those dialogues where he tells Lucky that he wants to make their meeting memorable. I realize the CVs wanted to up the drama quotient to its zenith so that when Swara accuses him of attempting to kill her, it will be an unbearable shock.
Still my roomani soul is a little disappointed that it was not spontaneous but calculated, that he arranged the flower shower, picked up gifts and bouquet and even changed clothes before coming to the baadi, that he does that slow walk hidden behind a bouquet towards Swara. I would have loved it more if Sanskaar had told Lucky to make a beeline for the baadi and on arrival, just rushed in with his signature "Swara.." and took her in his arms! ☺️ Would the drama quotient have reduced so much? 🤔
It is a fashion to put in disclaimers nowadays, but don't want to do it. 😆 These are my thoughts and people are welcome to agree and disagree with me, I respect all opinions! 😛
