This could be an interesting perspective but frankly I don't think the channel or production house is mature enough to deal with this angle. Like someone said, it's a 9:30 pm slot show and they wouldn't want to take any such risk which could lead to low TRPs.

I don't know if the target audience (to whom the show is aimed) is ready for a homosexual character but I am 100% sure, the PH and channel are not. If they even go ahead with it, they would make it tasteless. Since the only gay characters that are portrayed are the ones who are fashion designers and are there for comic relief which in itself is a very skewed representation of the gay community.
