And shon is a fictionalised name ..but the character was very much there in Mb...he had a name like shatruntapa or shatrunjit (I can not remember properly )...he was a worrier too and was killed by arjuna in Virat war...

That is the reason karna-shon relationship is one of the very interesting relationship among all the contemporary writers who have written on karna... 😳

But yes as a writer you have all the liberty to pick or reject a character... 😊

This story revolves around not just 2 but 3 main characters. First one who fought against his brothers in the war like karna that is yuyutsu.
Second one who fought on the unrighteous side knowingly i.e., vikarna ,though there were others too like bheesma pitamah, acharya drona and kripacharya etc.But the difference is that they all were bound by words and duty while he was not.And the third is karna whom i mentioned clearly in the prologue and thus 3 main characters.
Each of these men shared some things in common and those common points and the differences are the main essence of the story.You found vikarn-yuyutsu convo in chapter 1 but lots more is coming and there would surely be some convo between yuyutsu-karn and vikarn-karn.
Yup, there is a mention of karna's brother but he died before the kurukshetra war so i did not include him to make the scenario a little more powerful.
Why do i feel that you did not like the first part much? 😛 Was it not upto the expectation? 😕 Or i wrote something different from what you expected?

I liked both the part yaar... 😛 prolouge as well as the whole chapter one... 😳 ...you have perfectly written the portion of yuyu-viku... 👏

I just said ke I had already gussed two characters from prolouge and that have proven right... 😳 actually after reading your prolouge i recalled a scene from brc Mb...there yuyu was opposing dury and wanted to leave him...then dury became furious ...and karna defended yuyu from dury's anger...saying that yuyu had full right to choose his side...then dury became furious on karna and saying that ...that means you are not my side from your mind... and a emotional convo between the two take place... 😳

You know why i get irritated with that sidT and his Mb shows...he have just destroy the karna-dury friendship only to show dury was a super villain and karna was a victim of his unethical demand and activities...but actually ved vayas dury was different.. 😊

As I told u in my earlier post that I have guessed two characters other than Karna...well I am happy one of guess was right...it was Yuyutsu cause he ultimately decided to chose Pandavas side and fight against the kaurava brothers. He must have gone thru same dilemma like Karna when he had to raise weapon against his those 100 brothers with whom he spent the major part of his life even though he was an outcast among his brothers.

When u started that the two warriors were doing their morning ablutions and praying to lord Surya, I assumed that one of the man was Karna...while reading further I was sure that one of man was Yuyutsu but the other man didnt seem like Karna. When I read the Karna was eavesdropping upon these two men...I was like 😕...I read it again from the beginning... and the conversation between the three were much easier to relate and understand, what they have been going through...their internal struggles...to follow their duty or their principles.

And when Karna mindlessly blurted out...I was like 😲...will Yuyutsu & Vikarna ever learn what Karna did for his brothers & his friend??

I must say...you have a beautiful imagination⭐️ 😳. This particular story of Karna including Yuyutsu & Vikarna is a very unique and intriguing theme.

I did not know of such a scene from mb. From what i have read, yudhishtir appeled to the kaurava warriors and said that if anyone wants to come over to his side,he is welcome. Thanks for telling me of this episode. Not sure of this happening in real mb but it sure would have been interesting.And there would be karn-yuyutsu convo too and i hope you like that part. 😳
Exactly dear, karn-dury friendship was never for selfish reasons as being shown.In fact it was a genuine and honest relation.And dury was wrong no doubt but there were many positive things about him too.

Loved Karna when he clapped and loved it when he let the secret out about himself understanding what both Rajkumars were going through because it is 100% true that Angaraj Karna was fighting a war against Dharma, against his own brothers and lastly against himself by choosing to be on Duryodhana's side even though he knew that Duryodhana was wrong and against Dharma.
