Dean is in trouble - Page 2

I just had an epiphany! Ever since I heard Cain talk about the three people Dean would have to kill, I've been wondering who their parallels in Cain's life are. It's pretty much obvious that Sam is Abel, and the moment Cain said killing Caswould "hurt something awful", it was made crystal clear, IMHO, that Castiel is Colette. But what the hell is Crowley doing there?

And then it hit me! I'll share this conversation between Cain and Abaddon (when she was possessing Colette) in 9x11:

CAIN [as COLETTE's eyes turn black]: What have you done to my wife? Answer me, Abaddon!
ABADDON: We can make this right, can't we, Cain? Come back to us.Come back to me.
CAIN: I'm done.
ABADDON: With the Knights or with me?
CAIN: I'm done!
ABADDON [as she starts to snap bones in COLETTE's body]: Then so is she.
CAIN: No. Stop it!
ABADDON: We could have been forever, but you chose her. Well, if I can't have you, then neither can she. (x)

This conversation suggests Abaddon was Cain's ex-lover, whereas Colette was, of course, Cain's WIFE. He chose Colette.

Now with the paralles... Do you remember how at the beginning of season 10 the subtext suggesting Dean and Crowley had something' was very strong? The subtext suggesting Crowley and Dean sort of broke up' in 10x02 was huge. Well, guess what Dean did in 10x14 when he gave the blade to Cas? He chose Castiel. It was pretty clear to Crowley that Dean (not Moose) chose Cas over him. If we see it this way, it makes total sense that Cain mentioned Crowley, Cas, and Sam even though he never got to kill Abaddon, but she would have been the next on his list if Colette hadn't asked him otherwise.

I'm not speculating (yet) on what is going to happen with Cas, but I feel better now that I've tried to understand the parallels.
