I saw the episode, and it is even more ridiculous in the watching. BQ mouths something like,
''No, Adi is speaking the truth! I trust him.'' And this in reference to the ''truth'' being that he's a thief. And everyone's reactions were whacko (maybe barring Suhani and Bhavna). It wasn't
Oh God, we have a thief in the house, or
Oh God, whom have we stupidly got psychobaby married to in 10 days, this guy steals from our house, has dealings with unsavoury types who could murder us all in our beds, he's lost his job for fraud, and is a nikamma nikhatu. Nooo. They argue over whether he's LYING. Because if he's lying, he molested baby. If he's telling the truth, and IS a thief, you can trust him and he ain't no molester. Oh grow up, cvs. Nobody's buying your faulty logic. It could be that he may be lying out of fear, just like Radhe and Krishna reacted out of fear. He could be telling the ''truth'', but still be guilty, because
where's the proof that the necklace was stolen during baby's traumatic molestation?
And what life lessons he's learning in BH! For his sins, he gets a gentle tap (can't even call it a slap) on the wrist from BQ, with a: ''Next time, don't do such things, ask me.'' Gobsmacked.
I repeat my question: What were those glass pieces (the window pane pretending to be a vase) doing in Adi's shirt? No answer from Adi or cvs. Why is Adi so vindictive in insisting that Pankaj, whom he knows well enough to realise would not molest anyone, is the culprit? Just to shift blame? To take advantage of the situation? To take revenge? All of these? I think cvs have created a new record in turning this character negative so fast.
Edit to Add: AY, I think it was meant that Su and co didn't believe Adi (but nobody bothered to answer the question: IF Adi didn't steal the necklace, where did it go? Can't any one of them even think BQ may have slipped it to him?) so they were trying to prove no jeweller had bought it, which is absolute twaddle. For one, all jewellers aren't listed in the Yellow Pages or equivalent thereof. For another: How sweet, Adi kept in touch with his blackmailer to find out where the goon sold a stolen necklace. Riiiggghhhttt. And finally, why the heck would any reputed jeweller answer that question truthfully to an absolute stranger over the phone?
