one thing I dont understand why suhaani is considered to be ugly in the first place...I really find her beautiful...she has got good features and looks good...The show makers should change this concept in first place...they shouldn't keep on saying that suhaani is just beautiful from inside and that's why she is beautiful...but to be frank she looks beautiful even from outside...I don't see why colour of the skin should define whether a person is beautiful or not...there are millions of dark skinned beauties who are miss worlds and who won numerous beauty pageants...This show is definitely very regressing becoz even men are shown retarded in their thinking...The way shaurabh and anuj are stuck with rags and menaka for their entire life...

The thing is, I think the show was trying to highlight the Indian mentality of how fairness is always considered more beautiful than dark skinned people -- why else do you think that the fairness cream market is so huge in India (and other eastern countries tbh)?

But the the makers have totally lost the plot and don't realize that something like this -- showing that skin colour is not all that matters-- has been attempted by other serials. For example, the hugely successful Saat Phere with Saloni (with Rajshree Thakur) was wonderful at showing how Saloni was not defined by her skin colour.

Tbh I find this show extremely regressive and terrible and actually hate it. The fact that the makers, instead of casting a darker skinned actress, actually make an actor darken her skin sickens me. And the crazy plotline is just ridiculous. None of the characters are likeable. The only reason I keep coming back to this show is because I absolutely love the way Rajshri acts. She's so beautiful and acts so naturally -- outshines others a lot.
