What is wrong with Star Plus?

This post is going to be a bit negative...

I am very proud of this show for it's numbers despite the odd time slot and zero promotion by star plus...This trp it has right now of 3.1 is prime time worthy!!! But what is the reason for SP's audacity of moving this show to another slot despite it having just achieved its most success??? What on Earth are they smoking??? I'm stunned. Ok, so if the slot is really changing, viewers need to be notified well in advance? Where are the promos to notify loyal audiences of this change? We online viewers always know what's going on bu what about the people who've never visited India Forums? This show has a mixed audience I am sure and many must be in the dark that the slot will change!!! It changes from next monday and i dont think there's a single promo on air.

SP hasn't given a single promo of this show that I know of since perhaps it was launched. This is terrible behavior from the channel and blatant disregard for the success of the show. Honestly now I am worried that if the slot changes and trps fall, SP can just axe the show well before its time how it axed Ek Hasina Thi which had trps of 3.5 but SP stopped giving promos and just ended it...😕 Perplexing behavior but I don't put it past them to repeat it.

Fans of SSEL have to become active on Twitter and pressurize SP to treat this show better...I'm on Twitter and I will express my views but we need to form a group and raise our voices. I think shows like Veera , YHM and IPK2 have very loud online fans esp on Twitter who tweet SP incessantly and that's why even with lower ratings, SP doesn't touch them...but here I feel this is inexplicable behavior to move a show with 3.1 trps to another slot...😕 at a time where the love track is on the verge of starting...dont they want to grab ratings? They give no promos in general and then no promos of time slot change either...at times it feels like purposeful sabotage by SP

My request to SSEL fans on Twitter...wake up and show your love for Yuvani...demand promos, demand publicity and demand the original time slot bec it is sheer disrespect to move a fiction show for REPEATS of masterchef.😡🤢

i learn somethg with sp n colors channel...they themselves doesn't know why n when n how they decide to end good shows n let boring shows n yrkkh still going...these shows got their due n respect its time to put a stop to unnecessary drama or repeated story...one marriage,sickness,one death

Mehwish I am also very disappointed coz out of all the shows this is 1 of the new shows on their channel its audience hasn't been built up yet properly they should not have moved it and than not informed their viewers. Iss pyaar has a permanent audience its been on for a long time now whether they move hours earlier their fans would make a plan and follow it and if they moved it later it would be so much better for that show. I really cnt believe for a half hour show they messed up all their shows like this. Its absolutely ridiculous and the worst part is all they needed to do was maybe shift nisha and her cousins to 10 and veera to 5 and put that stupid masterchief at 8:30. I really dislike that nisha show it does not deserve the 8:30 slot when our show week in and week out gets the same or more trps than it. This is not a prime time slot shows with bigger stars in better timeslots then this show cnt manage to do what they are doing. This show what they have done is quite amazing and its no small thing sp has been unfair to it and its viewers. Bt I am still hoping that somehow we maintain its gona be so sad that we gona drop for no reason at all besides a time change. Bt if it does manage to still do well in this timeslot which I dislike its a very inconvenient timeslot we gona be stuck with it and they will probably end iss pyaar coz they where useless in the timeslot and I would hate that coz I adore avinash sachdave. I will try and tweet a little later when I am on. Also I dnt know whether any1 would want to make a new ssel twitter acc coz I saw some1 asking for the twitter address and so I checked for it and its been inactive since october.

SSEL has almost no tweets related to it...I think we need to make a permanent hashtag for it too so all tweets are tagged with #JusticeforSuhani or #SSEL #SUhanisiekladki

IPK2 is into its 2nd year but this show is like 6 or 7 months old Sandia, what are they doing yaar??? it's tied with Jodha Akbar on trp charts the great Ekta Kapoor's show...I have never seen such reckless behavior , i wont sit and take it ...they destroyed EHT which I loved too and it ended in the top 5 ...appalling behavior...

We all simply MUST get together on Twitter and the twitter accounts with SSEL names are dead

You know what, Mehwish, I wanted to make a post regarding the lack of promos, so I'm glad you made this post. 👏

I'm really surprised that they air almost no promos of SSEL because promos are integral to keeping interest and suspense in a show alive.😲 Whenever I watch SSEL, I see promos of Saath Nibhana Saathiya a lot, so why can't they promote SSEL too? Especially when it's bringing them TRPs equivalent to a prime time show?
As you said, they are beginning a storyline that will be one of the high points of the show, so they should try and build public interest in it. Also, this show has a good foundation where it doesn't only run on one story arc; there are so many unexplored story lines right now that the show can run for 2 years, at least. It's almost like killing a seed that has just started to grow.

It is only when SSEL has promos that it can attract new viewers who start watching because they saw an interesting promo. I do this a lot- if a show has an interesting storyline going on (based on promos), I do watch it. So, it is inexplicable why SSEL doesn't get promos.

I think it's mainly because SP never thought that SSEL could be a big show, which is why it got a 6.30 slot to begin with. 🥱 They rarely promote shows in this slot because they don't consider them prime time shows. I really don't want the TRPs to drop because I love watching this show whether other people watch it or not. As you said, if it is shifted to the 6.00 pm slot and TRPs drop, then SP will have the chance to axe it. I wasn't even aware people watch Masterchef. They can air it later at night when families wanna watch it, why air it in the pre-prime time slot? 😕

I think that's the crux of the problem Clarity. They didn't think it would do well so it got a not so great time to start with and now that it is doing so well they're going to change it? And that too without letting viewers know of the change. Makes zero sense yaar...

Urgh starplus is starplus they don't even think of us..despite having good trps at this slot,why they want to change its time slot..im an navya fan..n they did the same thing to navya also..we all know that this sp will never give their chance to ssel to win,coz they didnt thought tat it would be this much hit.. why sp didnt take this show seriously???? Literally didnt expect this behavour with this show also... 😡

Yeah, SP never expects much from shows in the 6-7 pm slot and never promotes them. I think they intend for them to be appetizer shows that signal that prime time has begun. If they did think SSEL would be a TRP machine, they would have given it a later slot for sure. 🤔

It's alright if you have low expectations from a show and therefore do not invest much in it, but you can at least air promos for these shows. I think there has been only one promo when Yuvraj was about to confess his love for Soumya and none after that. I had hoped that SSEL's TRPs would change their mind, but looks like they are quite set on Masterchef.
