Dear Vijay sir and GMs,
it has been a while since a guideline for GA is revised and informed us regarding new changes. At that time 2 suggestions were arised from members,
1) to extend the time period of bday thread and
2) to give permission for anniversary thread f off air shows in GA section like before.
The first one was considered immediately and it got revised. But regarding off air show threads, it was said that GM will talk with vijay sir and decision will be taken soon. But even after a month the decision is still pending. can we have the final decision soon, pls?
It may be look like a silly problem from outside. but it is a truth that half of IF members are here because of those popular off-air shows. and stil adore them. More than a on-air show anniversary thread, where the members will be very regular and can get hold of celebrations, a off- air show thread deserves to be in GA. As you know, there are forums 5+ year old, still active. but many of the members have moved on and visit there once in a week or two weeks as the show ended. So having a GA , it will easy for all old members to catch up , as well as new members who are unaware of the existence of forum can join too..
And also allowing such threads wont make GA section crowd too.. If we take last one year, only 10 or less than 10 threads were there. in this year additional 2-3 will be there, but not more.
So its a humble request from all off-air show fans to reconsider the decision. we know GA is not a right of us, it is a privilege. but we want to get treat equally..we are only requesting to allow a single thread in a year, not more. hope you all will understand us..
ps : One of the popular off-air show is going to celebrate its 5th anniversary next week.. we will be really thankful if we can have decision before it.
