I wish to know how to delete an account..i mean not banned or deactive...i want to know how can delete an account...banned or deactive option usefull for the people who wish come back here in future... otherwise delete option is best..i d't think banned option is safe...so i want to know how to delete IF account..hope I will get a reply...

I want a reply...two mods here..but they are very slow to give answers..if they can't give answer fastly, whats the need of mod here...if they are unavailable, give some others temperary in charge...

AFAIK, they don't have an option of deletion. Which they should IMO. Banning is the closest thing, they stop displaying all your posts.

stop displying posts only..just like IF banned account for misbehviour...if we d't like continue a forum,need a option to delete account... banned option only useful to not displaying posts but account there forever..what is this.. give me correct answer mods...

I guess only Admins can delete a account !

Hey Rechus! (: How are you? I hope all is well on your side.

As far as I know an account can't be permanently deleted (unless another new feature is added by the admins to delete an account).

An account can only be 'banned' upon your request. As of now I think that is the closest option you'll get to having your account 'deleted.'

Maybe Vijay bhai & Priya di should consider the 'delete' option because a lot of people wan their accounts to be permanently deleted from IF records and 'banning' an account doesn't do that, I think.

Hey Rechus,

First of all, our apologies for not replying to your post promptly. Due to the holiday season, there was a delay in us processing all the threads.

Anyway, at the time being, the only possible option is a "self ban" which as described above is not distinguishable from a regular ban, and this can only be done by the higher authorities.

In the meantime, we shall pass your request to the higher authorities to consider for a distinguishable way for those requesting deactivation.

For any further queries regarding this, please feel free to share here or contact one of the higher authorities.

Hi Rechus,

I had consulted the higher authorities regarding this and they informed that there are two options:

Deactivation: means your posts will remain as it is, however, you will no longer be able to PM or post any no longer. You will still be able to see others post.

Self Ban: will consist of the following messages on all your posts:

THE ACCOUNT OF THE MEMBER WHO POSTED THIS MESSAGE HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY BANNED.

If you think this is an error please Contact us

but you will no longer be able to PM nor post any longer. You will still be able to see others post.

Please feel free to PM one of the GMs regarding this hun.
