Neha stopped speaking at the angry shout…. Dipika immediately stood up and came out of her cabin.

A lady was standing at the reception shaking her finger at the receptionist….

She got angry. What do these people think????? This is Special Squad office not a fish market, where anyone can come and shout……. 😡

She strided to the lady and spoke in a stern voice……

Dipika: Dekhiye…. Ye Special Squad office hai…. Aap….

The lady stopped shaking her finger at the receptionist and turned towards Dipika.

Lady: Special Squad office hai?!?!? Mere chillaane see aapko gussa aaya naa… To aapke officers ko sikhakar bejhthe kyun nahi ki doosron ke ghar me tameez se pesh aaya jaata hai.…. 😡

Dipika looked at her confused…. Special Squad officers?!?!? They never would…. 🤔

Dipika: (Still confused) Lekin aap koun??????

Lady: (Still fuming) Lalitha. Lalitha Sharma.……

Dipika: 😲 Aap?!?! Sundar ki….

Lady: (Irritated) Haan uski ex-wife!!!!!!! 🤢

Dipika looked at her stunned… Lalitha???????? Here??????? But???????? 😔

That was when it dawned upon her that yesterday evening Neha had said that Ajay had asked for her address, saying they were going for investigation there after the bank.

She turned around and looked at Boxer and Ajay. 😡 One look at their faces, she knew something had happened at Lalitha's place yesterday…. Controlling herself she turned back to Lalitha…….

Dipika: Suniye… Main Dipika Gosh hoon. Special Squad ki Chief aur Acting Head. Main zaroor iski khabar loongi. Aap please tab tak room me baithiye……..

Lalitha looked at her. She breathed in heavily. This lady seemed to be responsible…. So she just nodded off…… 😳

Dipika: (Smiling feebly) Thank you… (To the receptionist) Riya inhe kamre me bithaaoo….. Aur haan paani denaa…. 😊

Riya: (Leading the way) Aayiye……

Lalitha followed her and Dipika turned on her heels. She stood staring at Ajay and Boxer. They looked at each other worried. Not as if it was their mistake, but still!!!!!! 😕

Are yaar why is it so that Vishal does something and before he could face Dipika first after the incident, it was always them who had to face mummy ji's scoldings and anger?? Even though she wouldn't be angry on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hearing the voice Ajay and Boxer had followed Dipika outside. One look at Lalitha, they knew why she was here……. That Vishal naa!!!!!!!!!! Oooff miya!!!!!!!! 🤢

Dipika: (Coming towards Ajay and Boxer) To ab to oblige and tell me what happened?????😳

She stared sternly at them and went into the cabin opening the door hard…

Neha looked at what had happened… She looked at Ajay, Boxer worried and gave a glance which clear said "What the heck is it now?????" She then went inside the cabin to comfort Dipika's anger……😕

Ajay and Boxer looked at each other…. They didn't like Dipika's voice… Not even an ounce…. They kept nudging each other to go and face the tornado!!!!!!!!

After much waiting and indication both entered the cabin…. They looked at Dipika's seat and found her not there…..

They looked around and found Dipika standing in front of Aryan's chair, hands clasped behind her….. Neha was standing beside her helpless not wishing to say anything…….🤔

Reason one because Dipika was not in a mood to listen to any defences or comforts… 😒

Reason two if Neha opened her mouth Dipika would burst out her anger…..😡

Ajay and Boxer looked at Neha and indicated towards Dipika, to get to know how her face reaction was… To know her state of anger……😡

Neha just shook her head hopelessly indicating that they were in real trouble now….😔

Dipika: (In a steely voice) Peeche se ishaara karne se kuch nahi hoga??? Kal kya hua tha?????❓

Ajay and Boxer were shocked…. Mummy ji really knew to read minds, now even seemed to have eyes at her back. They decided to tell her what happened… Anyways she had to know….😳

Ajay started with their report….

Ajay: Bank ke investigations ke baad Vishal ne kaha ki time bahut hai, so they should go and have a meeting with Sundar's ex-wife who by then should have come to Mumbai…..

Boxer: (Interjecting hurriedly) Humne mana kiya tha, ki shaam ho gayi aur we don't have a lady officer with us… But he said ki interrogation me hi lady officers ki zaroorat hai, not for investigations and simple questioning…. To Ajay ne Neha ko phone karke address maanga andd we went there…..

Boxer hesitated to continue…. Because the worst part had actually come now…..

As if on cue, knowing that this was where the problem had started, Dipika turned around with a stern gaze and looked at the duo……

Dipika: (Folding her hands) Uske baad?????? 😈

Ajay: (Clearing his throat) Hrmm... Hum sirf uske kaam ke baare me pooch rahe the… Questioning theek hi chal raha tha… Vishal ne aise kuch tede questions nahi pooche…. Lekin Lalitha ka behaviour ajeeb tha… It was as if she wanted to get rid of us….

Hearing this Dipika frowned…. 😒

Boxer: Tabhi Vishal ne uske divorce ka kaaran poocha… Jo Sundar ne court me file kiya tha…. Badak gayi and she started her tantrums… Kehnee lagi ki uska personal maamla hai and she was actually happy that her husband is no more… Bhoomi se ek bhaar kam hua!!!!!!!!

Neha and Dipika were shocked at the statement……

Dipika: (Shocked) Kya??????? 😔

Neha: (Carefully) Boxer uski baaton se aisa laga yaa….

Boxer: Nahi Neha…. Uske statements exact hain....

Ajay: Haan.. Aur isi par Vishal gussa ho gaya… Usne bhi chilla di ki ek zindagi ki keemat ko aap log nahi samjhenge... Border me aapke liye jo sipahi ladte hain, unse poochiyegaa.... And there was sort of verbal blow which was about to start… Humne bahut mushkil Vishal ko waha se nikaala tha…. 😲

Boxer: (Finishing their report) Phir to Vishal chala gaya aur hum hospital aa gaye…….

Ajay and Boxer completed their report and looked at Dipika…….

After some deep thinking Dipika said……

Dipika: This is getting more tough… Lalitha ke aise kehne se uspar shak aur bhi badta hai, lekin agar vo guilty hai to itni open nahi hoti…

Neha: Lekin Dipika, jo kuch bhi ho… Usne aisa kaha????? That's unbelievable… Ye Lalitha… (Making a face) Mana uski ex-husband tha… Phir bhi itni harsh kaise ho sakti hai?? Disgusting…… 😡

Dipika was still taking in the news… She couldn't believe what had been said to her…. Seems like Lalitha was rather hard….. Phir bhi Vishal should have shown more patience… Aur vo bhi ek aurat se!!!!!!!!! Aryan would never… She stopped…. 🥺

Aryan!!!!!!!!! ⭐️ That man was also very hard on people whom he thought were fibbing, but never had behaved very rough with woman…. Dipika wondered…. Only now she was counting how many good qualities of him were coming out, towards which she had never given a consideration…. 👏

Involuntarily a proud smile started on her face…… When……

Neha: Dipika!!!!!!! 🤔

Dipika snapped out of her realms and saw Neha…..

Dipika: Haan… Neha tum jaake Lalitha se baat shuru karna, main aati hoon…

Neha looked at her strangely… 😕 After the Ajay and Boxer's report everybody were waiting for Dipika's reaction… Ajay and Boxer were near the door so had not noticed it, but Neha had… 😉 She had noticed a tiny smile starting to spread on Dipika's face which was lost in thoughts….. She had no doubts as who it could be… Thinking of only one person could bring smiles on Dipika Gosh's face.…. But still…. 😍

Neha just nodded and went off with Ajay and Boxer…..

Dipika turned and looked at Aryan's seat once…. Vishal was occupying that seat for three days now, but for her it will always be Aryan's chair… When it was empty she would imagine one and only Aryan… HER Aryan in there!!!!!!!!!!! ❤️ 😳

A tear was forming in her eyes which she wiped hurriedly… Smoothing her hair and face she realized that she had been keeping it very stiff……. 😳

She turned, went out of the cabin to the interrogation room…….. 👍🏼

Interrogation Room

Lalitha was seated at the head of the table with Dipika on her right and Neha on her left, as usual…. Ajay and Boxer standing behind her. ⭐️

Neha had asked about Lalitha's background, when the Dipika had come….

Lalitha was saying…….

Lalitha: Main middle class se hoon. Mere father Indian Army me the. Ab nahi rahe. Kaargil war me shaheed ho gayi….. 😲

This statement surprised everyone… Lalitha was from a patriotic family!!!! Good to hear that… And they also felt for having to suspect her, but duty calls…. 👍🏼

Dipika seated herself and listened to Lalitha…..

Lalitha: (Looking at Dipika) Meri maa, school teacher thi…. Vo mere shaadi ke agle saal hi guzar gayin…. Main family ki akeli beti thi.

Lalitha eyes brimmed with tears recalling her family…. 😒

Dipika: (Softly) I am sorry… 😭 Waise aapki Sundar se shaadi arranged thi???

Lalitha was wiping her tears, when she jerked her head up. She stared at Dipika hard… Her face clearly showed anger beyond description…

Dipika was surprised at such a reaction…. She never expected a wife to be angry on her husband so much… It was like Lalitha was on verge of fury, literal fury….. Not just normal couple tiff anger……. She frowned inwardly…… 😕

Lalitha: (Her voice hard as steel, showing no enthusiasm) Nahi, love marriage tha. Sundar mere college me senior the. Wahan unse dosti hui, phir we liked each other. (She said this with disgust in her voice and her face showing that too, like she never wanted that to happen 💔 ) Phir vo mere ghar aaye aur meri papa se mera haath maanga. Sundar ki family bhi acchhi thi, isliye papa maan gaye.

Neha: Phir aapki divorce???

Lalitha: (Whipped her head like a snake towards Neha 😡 ) Mera manana hai ki iska samband case se nahi hai….

Neha: (Getting angry) Case se kya samband hai kya nahi, ye aap nahi hum decide karte hain... Kya aapko pata bhi hai ki aap ek suspect hain is waqt…. 😡

Dipika was keenly watching Lalitha's reaction… Neha had actually asked routine questions, but Lalitha seemed to take it very seriously…….

Lalitha stared at Neha hard… She didn't like her approach…. She turned towards Dipika…

Lalitha: Maine kaha naa ki aapke officers ko tameez bhi nahi aati……. 🤔

Dipika: (In a stern voice, interrupted) Lalitha ji… Ye sirf routine interrogation hai… Isme itna gussa hone ki zaroorat nahi hai… And this is mandatory, with no escape… 🤓

She stopped and stared back hard at Lalitha… Lalitha looked at Dipika and then Neha… 😳

Neha looking at Dipika in thoughts…

Neha: Dipika, kya hua???? ❓

Dipika: (Leaving the cabin) Lalitha kuch chupa rahi hai Neha.

Neha was surprised… 🤔

Neha: Kya??? Lekin….

Dipika: (Walking towards her cabin with Neha beside her) Neha Laitha se jab humne divorce ke baare me poocha, to uska gussa jaayaz tha.. Lekin tumne notice kiya ki jab vo uski baat karne lagi, to voice me hesitation tha... She definitely is hiding something... Lekin kya, ye pata lagana hai.... 😒

Neha: Haan I did sense it... It was minute… I thought I was just imagining it… Shayad jab vo apne beti ko layegi usse kuch baat kar sakte hain….. 🤓

Dipika: Hmmm…. (Dipika nodded) Tum ek kaam karo, Lalitha ke baare me jitney bhi information nikaal sako, uske family ke baare me sur kuch… Work ke baare me, anything… May come useful… 😊

Neha nodded and went off to work… Dipika went into her cabin……. 😊



Sometime later….

Vishal entered the cabin. Dipika looked up from the file she was checking.

Dipika raised her eyebrows at him. 😳 Vishal silently indicated with his hands behind her. Dipika turned in her chair and saw a lady of the portrait sitting in the interrogation room. Ajay and Boxer were standing behind her.

Dipika studied her for some time. She seemed to be around middle aged. Good looking. She was sitting nervous in the chair and was looking her and there afraid. She saw front and saw Dipika seeing her. Immediately she dipped her head. 😕

Dipika turned back to Vishal…

Dipika: Go ahead Vishal.

Vishal looked surprised. Wasn't she coming? Meaning, she insisted that there must always be a lady officer when interrogating a lady suspect naa. Hmm… 😵

Vishal: Aa…

Dipika: (Interrupting) Main yaheen se dekhongi.

Dipika nodded once her agreement. Vishal looked at her, smiled one side and turned to leave the cabin, when….

Dipika: Vishal….

Vishal turned around at the call…

Dipika: (In a stern voice) Main maanti hoon ki you would be more controlled this time. I trust my officers when I say them something….

She kept looking at him with the confidence in her eyes that he would be more controlled this time…. Vishal looked at Dipika stunned. 😲 How the damn did she figure out, that this was exactly what he was going to do… 😉 To be self controlled, atleast while interrogating or for that matter questioning a female suspect or witness…. 😛

He smiled and nodded approval and left the cabin…….

Dipika watched him going to the interrogation room. He was so different!!!! Difficult yes, but yet different… She had noticed that whenever Vishal had done something which she didn't approve of and had said it so, he had obliged not repeating it. Of course something new he would do, but never repeat his mistakes….. 🤔

She sighed and turned back to look into the interrogation room.

Sighed because Aryan was never this controlled!!!!!!!! 😔 Meaning he did what he wanted. In very rare cases he had listened to her…. But Vishal!!!!!!!!!!! 👍🏼

She saw that Vishal had started questioning Sharmila. And she smiled seeing the stunned expressions on Ajay and Boxer… She knew that Vishal was talking to Sharmila in a very soft tone…. 😊
Interrogation Room….

Vishal entered the room, gave a teeny weeny glance towards his cabin. 😉 Saw that Dipika was turned sideways deep in thoughts. He turned back to Sharmila and still standing asked her questions….

Vishal: (In a stern but soft voice) Ms. Sharmila Mathur, right?

Sharmila: Ha… haan…

Sharmila was nervous. She had never even been to the side of a police station even. And here she was in for interrogation... She was nervously twiddling her hand kerchief… 😕

Vishal saw this and for the first time in his life, felt sorry for someone was interrogated. She looked really tensed. 😳

Also Vishal had the sense that Dipika was watching and mainly he didn't want to upset her! But why???? ❓

He punched his running thoughts back into the room and said….

Vishal: Dekhiye… Ye sirf routine interrogation hai. Aapko darne ki zaroorat nahi hai, unless you are guilty… Humse cooperate karenge to aapko koi takleef nahi hogi…

Sharmila looked up at him and nodded. She felt calmer now….

Sharmila: Ji… Poochiye…

Ajay and Boxer were witnessing maybe the 8th wonder of the world… They felt!!! Boxer who was smoking his pen, had actually stopped it in mid-way….

Ajay looked at Boxer with a stunned expression, saw the pen suspended in mid-air and grinned. He pushed the pen upwards and it hit Boxer's nose instead of going into his mouth…. 😆

Boxer looked at him glaring… 😡Vishal had just then looked up after talking to Sharmila… Seeing what had happened smiled 😃 and walked around asking questions…

Boxer and Ajay looked on with still shocked, surprised expressions, listening to him questioning Sharmila…….. 😵

Vishal: Aap kab se Sundar ko jaanti thi???

Sharmila: Actually main Sundar ki neighbor thi, college ke waqt. Hum bahut acchhe dost the. Meri aur Sundar ki shaadi ke baad... We met occasionally... Humari apni apni zindagi thi. We were happy with that. Lekin mere pati ke guzar jaane ke baad, in an accident, Sundar was very supportive. Mujhe bank me naukri bhi Sundar ne dilvaayi thi.

Vishal: Hmm… (Now that was news!!!) I am sorry. (Coming back and looking at her in concerned manner) Mujhe pata hai ki it may hurt you… Lekin kya aap jaante hain ki Sundar ki wife Lalitha ne aapke aur Sundar ke beech…

Sharmila: (Interrupting, not angrily but hurt) Nahi… Main aur Sundar acchhe dost the, bahut acche dost. Please!!! (Frustrated) Meri do bacche hain, ek beti aur beta… Main unke bhavishye ke liye hi Sundar se help maangne gayi thi paanch saal pehle.

Vishal believed her. There was truth in her eyes…. He could tell whether a person was telling the truth from their eyes. He had many times thanked God for this wonderful perception he had gifted him. ⭐️

Vishal: Aap Sundar ki personal assistant thi, right???

Sharmila was stumped at the sudden change of subject…

Sharmila: Hu... Haan. 😕

Vishal noticed the brief hesitation in her answer! Why??? 🤔

It was a tactic Vishal always followed… Ask them some questions, which wil make them anticipate next question of the same sort, but he would immediately change the subject contents, which often stumped the person… And here he noticed it did….👍🏼
Vishal: Phir to aapko uske official meetings, uske clients sabke baare me pata hoga.

Again there was brief hesitation. Vishal knew that, Sharmila sensed what he was going to ask her….

Sharmila: (After much thought) Haan…

Vishal: To teen hafte pehle ek customer aapke bank aaya tha, loan maange. Pata chala ki usne Sundar ko blame kiya rishvat maangne…

Sharmila: Nahi… nahi aisa kuch nahi hua tha (She was stuttering now) Vo customer aaya to tha. Lekin uski niyat par hume shak tha, isliye Sundar ne mana kar diya loan dene se. Isliye vo gussa hua. Lekin dhamki kuch nahi di.

Vishal: (In a stern voice now, because she was caught) Maine ye nahi kaha ki usne dhamki di, sirf ye kaha ki blame kiya!!!!! 🤓 Dekhiye…. Hume pata hai ki ye hua tha, aur usne Sundar ko threaten bhi kiya tha maarne kaa… Isliye chupana acchha nahi hoga….

Sharmila: (Trying to gain a grip) Nahi aisa kuch nahi hua… Main keh rahi hoon naa….

Vishal was getting angry. 😡 How the heck could she say this??? He was just about to shout back at her, when he remembered Dipika watching him…… 😉 😳

At the other end, Dipika listened to all that was been asked and answered. Clearly Sharmila was telling lies. She saw Vishal getting tense and sat erect in her chair to see how he would react…… 😕

Vishal got a grip on himself and said in more icy tone…..

Vishal: Dekhiye… Mujhe pata hai ki aapke bank ne kaha hoga ki aap us jhagade ke baare me kuch nahi kahe, kisi se discuss naa karein… Aapki naukri ka sawaal hai, hume pata hai. Lekin aapko nahi lagta ki ek dost hone ke naate aapki ye zimedaari hai, ki aapke dost ke kaatil ko sazaa dilvaaye……. 😔

Vishal left it at that and sat before her.

Sharmila kept thinking for a long time. 🤔 She was in a dilemma now. Her best friend was dead, killed. She had the responsibility to get the murdered behind bars… But still her job was the one which helped her family…

Vishal: (Sensing her dilemma) Dekhiye, main samajhta hoon ki aapko apni kaam kitni important hai. Aap dariye mat, agar aapki naukri ke liye khatara aata hai to main aapke bank se baat karoonga. Aapki naukri nahi jayegi. Ye Vishal Malhotra ka aapse vaada hai. 👍🏼

Sharmila looked up surprised. She had never seen anyone with such sincerety in his voice. Who were they?? Just officers for whom this was just another case, still they are taking it seriously to nab the murderer…. 😊 And she was Sundar's long time friend, who had more responsibility to do her best to get the killer behind bars…. She decided…… 😳 She smiled up at him and said…

Sharmila: Thanks… Main sab kuch bata deti hoon. Meri naukri gayi bhi to doosri doondh loongi, lekin Sundar ke kaatil ko pakadvaana hai…

Vishal smiled at her determined face and nodded approvingly…. His gesture encouraged her to continue…….

Sharmila: Sundar ko main bachpan se hi jaanti thi. He was very a wonderful person, sabki help karta tha. Lekin uski sirf ek buri aadat thi. He was after money. Vo zindagi me bahut kamaana chahta tha. Lekin kisi bhi bure kaam me use involve hote nahi dekha maine. 😔 Meri pehle shaadi hui thi aur main apne pati ke kaam ki wajah se Bangalore chali gayi. Kabhi kabaar phone me baatein hoti thi. Baad me Sundar ki shaadi bhi ho gayi jisse vo pyaar karta tha. Mujhe us ladki se milne ka mauka nahi mila aur shaadi ke liye bhi nahi jaa saki because I was pregnant, nine months. My husband knew him as well. (Her voice became teary 😭 ) Paanch saal pehle mere pati ka dehaant ho gaya ek accident me. Meri zindagi jaise tham si gayi. Mere parents bhi tab nahi rahe. Mere relatives ne bhi mera saath chod diya. Vo Sundar hi tha, jisne mujhe Bangalore se yahaan aane me help ki aur bank me naukri dilvaayi. Mere bacchon ki school, college admissions bhi usne karvaayi thi. Tab se we met frequently… Hum milte the, to talk over matters as friends. 😊 Tabhi uski patni Lalitha ne hume ek baar restaurant me dekha, vo galat samajh gayi. Actually it was within two weeks of me coming to Mumbai. Ussse pehle hi Sundar ne divorce ke liye apply kiya tha, to Sundar ko mujhe uske patni se milavaane ka mauka nahi mila.

Vishal: Phir vo jhagada???? Sundar ke ghar ke paas waale restaurant ki waitres ne kaha tha ki aapki do hafte pehle Sundar se jhagada hua tha.

Sharmila: Haan... (Remembering the bitter moments) Teen hafte pehle us customer ka jhaghda hua tha bank me. Uske ilzaam par bank me kisi ko vishwaas nahi tha. Lekin mujhe Sundar ki neeyat ke baare me pata tha. To main ussse baat karna chahti thi. Hum kabhi kabaar us restaurant me milte the, whenever Sundar felt lonely he would share his feelings with me. To maine us din ussse khul ke baat ki… I was hurt with his act…. Usne maan liya. Aaj tak usne kabhi mujhse jhooth nahi bola. Mujhe gussa hua. Lekin usne bhi justify kiya ki vo hamesha unse hi paise maangta tha jinke amount bade the. Lekin maine kaha ki us aadmi ne aapne bete ke ilaaj ke liye maanga tha, to zaahir hai uske paas kuch bhi paise nahi honge. Humare bank me ek procedure hai ki agar koi loan chahta ho, to vo apne details submit karein. Hum uske baare me discreet investigations karte hain ki kya use vo loan zaroori hai ya nahi. Uske baad hi if it is genuine we grant loan. Lekin pata nahi kyun Sundar ne is baar investigations nahi ki. Agar karta to pata hota ki that man was telling the truth.

Vishal: (Happy at last with some lead 😊 ) Matlab???

Sharmila: Sundar ne bank ke branch manager se keh diya ki usne investigations ki to pata chala ki he was a drunkard and was telling lies. Lekin uske mauth ke baad humare bank ne is maamle par investigations ki to paat chala ki such me uska beta hospital me tha….

Vishal: Tha?? Matlab vo… ❓

Sharmila: (In a sad tone 😕 ) Haan… Bank me uske jhagade ke baad ek hafte me hi uske bete ki mauth ho gayi thi. Use kuch compex problem thi, something to do with the blood clotting…

Vishal thought…. Oh My God!!!!!!!!!!! How cruel!!!!!!!! He got angry!!!! 😡

Vishal: (Getting control of his anger) Kya aapko pata hai ki vo customer koun tha????

Vishal was surprised that he was easily coping his anger today!!!! But how come?????? ❤️

Sharmila: Vo.. Humare bank ne uske file ko jalaaa di…

Vishal: (Shocked) Kya??? 😲

He was upset that he could proceed no further… He just had the feeling that he may have got the killer!!! Maybe his gut feeling!!!!!!!!!! 😉

GUT FEELING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😲 Oh No!!!!!!!!! He was starting to get them too, like Aryan!!!!! 😕 Maybe it was the special squad atmosphere!!!!!!! 😵 rghhhhhhhh………….

Sharmila's voice brought Vishal back from his thoughts…….

Vishal: Kya??? (Without much enthusiasm, at the thought of losing another lead) 😒

Sharmila: Sundar apne clients' ke details ko apne laptop me feed karta hai, to usme shayad hoga.

Vishal became happy seeing another ray of hope….. 😛

Vishal: Uska laptop??? Aapne pehle hi kaha kyun nahi??? Vo kahan hai??? ⭐️

Sharmila: Sundar ka personal laptop hai to uske ghar me hoga. He carries it with him always.

Vishal: Abbas, Ajay… Sundar ke ghar jao dekho ki vo laptop hai ya nahi.

The duo nodded and left immediately for Sundar's house.

Sharmila nodded, smiled briefly and left the cabin. Vishal saw her leave and turned to see Dipika… How had he fared?? Somehow he was nervous, like a kid waiting for the results after an exam... Damn it man, he had never felt like this ever before😕 But now, it was as if he had been interrogated and was waiting to see if he had spoken well.... 😔

Dipika was looking at Vishal with an approved smile. She nodded happily and gave him thumbs up… 👍🏼

Vishal was really happy!!!! He was very very happy to have pleased her….. It was as if he had reached the skies

He returned back the smile and mouthed thanks….. 🤗

Dipika went back to her work on her laptop.

What she didn't notice was Vishal still looking at her, amazed, admiring her…. He was actually blushing….☺️ Now he knew!!!!!!! He liked her very much… Maybe more than liking….. 😍 He knew, yes it was more than liking 😲 !!!!! ❤️ ????????????????????????????? 😳 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😛 ???????????







Afternoon….

Dipika, Vishal were in their cabin… Neha and Haseena were in their places… Neha was showing some software that she had specifically asked for from the Special Squad head quarters…. Neha was beginning to trust Haseena very much… Shotgun and Zubin in their respective labs, when Ajay and Boxer returned with Sundar's laptop…

Seeing Ajay and Boxer enter, Neha excused herself from Haseena and came to them…

Neha indicating the laptop in Ajay's hand asked….

Neha: Ajay, laptop? ❓

Ajay: Haan Sundar ka hi hai. Neha iska battery weak lagta hai, to ek adapter le aana...

Saying this Ajay and Boxer went into Dipika's cabin...

Dipika was checking the final reports for tomorrows hearing when she looked up…

Dipika: (Seeing the laptop, closed the file immediately) Laptop mil gayi??

Ajay: Haan…

Saying this Ajay started to give the laptop, when Dipika stared at him shaking her head slowly indicating "Not to give it to her"... 😔 She silently indicated Vishal who was watching what the duo had to report….

Her thoughts were, "Come what may… Happen what may; Vishal was Special Squad's Chief Investigating Officer… He had the first priority to know about the evidences of a case more than anyone else…." ⭐️

Ajay looked at her for a moment, shocked at her saying so… But he knew that Dipika was doing everything for their good, so unwillingly he went upto Vishal's table….

He placed the laptop in front of him and reported….

Ajay:Sundar ka laptop hi lagta hai. Uske room se hi mila.

Vishal looked at Ajay's action and was surprised….. 😲 He had looked up when Ajay and Boxer had entered… He felt damn sure that they would give the laptop to Dipika… The team didn't like him and he knew that… He knew that and he cared not a damn for that… 🤔 He wasn't here to make relationships or was he????? 🤔 😳

He turned his gaze at Dipika… It was in that nick of the moment, fortunately, when Dipika silently indicated Ajay to give the laptop to Vishal… So he had missed seeing Dipika reaction….

Vishal: (Opening the laptop, he switched it on) Are kya hua??? Is it not working??? ❓

Dipika stood up from her place to go over to his table… What??? Not working??? Oh… No… What is this??? Another dead end…. 🤢

Boxer: Nahi.. Lagta hai battery weak hai… Humne wahan use switch on kiya to thodi der chal raha tha, phir band ho gaya. Iska adaptor ghar me nahi mila. Humne Neha se adaptor laane…….

Just then Neha entered the cabin with the laptop adaptor....

She went over to Vishal's table, attached the adaptor and fixed it in an electrical socket beneath his table….

Vishal switched on this time and the laptop opened…. The Operating System started loading… Everyone gathered around his table… The system took a lot of time to boot up testing their patience… 😡

Finally the welcome page opened and Vishal clicked the only user name on the screen "Renuka"….

But the click opened a new dialog box asking for the password….

Vishal: (Frustrated) Of course…. This was to happen… It needs a password…. Ab to we are in a difficult situation…

The others also looked at each other…. Now how were they to enter the system???❓
Dipika: Vishal… Try some combinations, shayad kaam aa jaye…

Vishal just nodded and tried all possible combinations for a password a bank employee would think off… But it was of no use… He had tried for nearly an hour… Later even Neha tried with suggestions from Ajay, Boxer and Dipika... But no use…

Neha: (After a one last try, looked up) Dipika I think it would not be advisable to try more new passwords… Usually, user name and password ke trials ke limit hote hain, agar vo paar ho gaya to the system gets locked for ever. Aur phir se use open karne ke liye kuch system paths hain, jo sirf is system ke admin ko pata hoga…. 😵

Dipika: Neha, mujhe bhi pata hai… Lekin admin ke taur pe we can try breaking into the system….

Just then there was a knock on the door…

Everyone turned to see who it was…….. 🤔

Shotgun entered the room and addressed Dipika….

Shotgun: Dipika, Lalitha aayi hai apni beti ke saath…

Dipika: Theek hai Shotgun. Main aati hoon…

Shotgun left the cabin… Dipika turned to Vishal when he asked confused….

Vishal: Renuka??? Vo yahaan… ❓

Dipika: Maine use bulaya… We couldn't talk to her properly when she was here for the first time… Vo apne pita ke saath rehti thi, to shayad usne aisa kuch suna ya dekha jo hume us culprit tak pahoonchne me madad kare…

Saying this she left the cabin… Vishal stood up slowly… This lady amazed him every time… She was not only a brilliant forensics officer, but seemed to know the nook and crooks of investigations too… ⭐️

He smiled proudly and left the cabin….

What he didn't notice was the stunned expression on Neha, Ajay and Boxer faces… 😲 They had seen Dipika leave the cabin and when they turned had seen a dazed expression on Vishal's face which they hadn't seen till now… And they didn't like it even a bit…. 😡 😕

They felt something coming up, which they didn't want to happen!!!!!! They immediately thought of Aryan… 😭

As Vishal left the cabin, Neha, Ajay and Boxer came stood in front of his table with folded hands seeing hims disappearing… Wishing against hopes that this could have been his last departure out of Special Squad…… 🤢




Interrogation Room….

Dipika: Thanks Lalitha… Aapne beti ko saat lane ke liye...

Lalitha just smiled feebly at her. Dipika sensed she was keeping quiet because of her daughter… What may it be??? She was a mother… She knew how it would feel…. 😳

Renuka was sitting with a sad expression at the head of the table, with her mother on her left, Vishal on her right... She seemed more composed than her first visit….

Vishal: (Seated beside Renuka, asked in a soft tone) Kaisi ho??? ❓

Renuka looked up surprised because last time, he had been so harsh to her… But now….

Even Dipika was suprised that Vishal had totally changed his style of interrogation... He really was caring this time with Renuka... She smiled 😊

Renuka: (Still with a not so sure tone answered) Ji theek hoon… 😔

Vishal: Renuka hume tumhari madad chahiye… Tumhare papa ke kaatil ko pakadna hai naa???

At the mention of her father, tears started to roll down her eyes... 😭 Her mother immediately started consoling her…. Renuka wept for sometime over her mom's shoulder…. Vishal and Dipika looked at each other and waited until she was composed to answer… 😕

Lalitha finally lifted Renuka and wiped her eyes… Renuka turned to look at Vishal and answered…

Renuka: Ji poochiye….

Vishal: (Smiling) Papa tumhe bahut pyaar karte the???

Renuka: (Sniffling a tear again, started on) Hmm… Papa mujhse bahut pyaar karte the… Hamesha mujhe ghumaane le jaaya karte the, weekends ko… Roz mujhse phone pe baat karte the, hostel ko….

Dipika looked at Lalitha and as she had expected, Lalitha didn't like her daughter praising her father… She smiled…. Happens... Especially when they were divorced…. 😳
Dipika turned back her attention to Renuka……

Vishal: Tumne pichle hafton me kuch ajeeb sa dekha… Apne ghar me, bahar papa ke saath… Kuch bhi ho, jo tumhe yoheen laga ho….

Renuka: (Thinking for sometime 🤔 ) Pichle hafte??? Nahi to… Main to pichle do hafte se ghar nahi aayi, mere exams the… Lekin uske pehle weekend hi aayi thi….

Dipika: Kuch bhi ho… You know it might have seem trifle to you but may be very important…

Renuka: Hmmm… (As a thought passed her mind) Ek baat hai…

Vishal and Dipika got enthusiastic….

Vishal: Kya?!?! 😛

Renuka: Jab teen hafte pehle me ghar aayi to papa ek aadmi se baat kar rahe the. Jab main ghar ke andar gayi to papa ne us aadmi se kaha ki Monday bank me aake mile… Maine kuch bhi nahi poocha lekin papa ne khud bataya, ki unke bank ka client tha… Ye mujhe ajeeb laga kyunki papa kabhi apne bank ke client ko ghar me bulate nahi aur ghar ke phone me baat bhi nahi karte the… Agar koi phone karta to maine papa ko bolte hue suna hai ki bank ke kaam bank me hi hote hain, ghar me nahi….

Vishal: (Getting interested in that man now) Kya tumne kabhi us aadmi ko dekha hai? ❓

Renuka: Ji nahi.. Lekin uske do din baad jab main wapas apne college jaa rahi thi, to maine unhe saamne waale restaurant me dekha...

Vishal and Dipika looked at each other stunned... 😲 Watching the house maybe???? Seems they had got the culprit… It surely seems like the mystery man whose identity they were yet searching….

Vishal: (Turning back) Renuka tumne bahut acchha kiya hai….

Renuka: (Again crying) Aap mere papa ke kaatil ko pakad lenge naa????

Vishal was surprised to hear such a request, 😒 which he hadn't heard from anyone till now, in his whole career… All he had heard was people claiming to be innocent, not to have done anything… But they turn out to be culprit…. He hated lies and people who said that!!!!! 😡

Vishal: (With determination) Main promise karta hoon, ki aapke papa ke kaatil ko main zaroor pakadoonga….

Saying that he squeezed her hand on the table and got up to leave… 😳

Dipika smiling at Lalitha and Renuka followed him outside… Vishal was waiting for her….

Vishal: Dipika ji lagta hai we have our culprit.. But still uski identity remains a mystery…

Vishal said this punching his his balled left fist in his right palm…. He was frustrated… Never had he been in a situation where the culprit was idenitified but his identity remained blank…….. 😡

Vishal and Dipika walked back to their cabin…..

Dipika: Haan clearly seems a case of renvenge… Vo aadmi jo apne bete ke ilaaj ke liye loan maange aaya tha, usne Sundar par rishvat ka ilzaam lagaya, which is proved by Sharmila's verdict… 😳

Vishal: Haan.. Aur lagta hai ki jab tak Sundar ko dene paise jama kar sake, us aadmi ka beta mar gaya… Aur usne ussse badla lene ke liye uske ghar par nazar rakhi aur mauka milne par uspar vaar kar diya…. 🤢

They entered the cabin to find Neha still trying to open the laptop….

Neha: (Looking up, shook her head) Kuch bhi kaam nahi kar raha.. Shayad admin se break in hi karna hoga… 🤔

Dipika: Lekin Neha ab break in karna bhi mushkil hoga.. Kyunki itne trial me system alert ho gaya hoga… So ab to we can't break in… Uske time expiry tak wait karna hoga ab… 😕

Everyone looked on frustrated with nothing to do… A faceless criminal was lounging out there, and here they were doing nothing!!!! Just nothing!!!!! 😡
Breaking the silence…….

Dipika: Neha, Ajay, Boxer mere saath chalo…

All three of them wondering what it was left the cabin with Dipika… 🤔 Vishal seated in his seat, again started working on the password, something would crop up… He was a never give up sort of guy….

Dipika led the three back to the interrogation room…..

Lalitha and Renuka were seated there still, with Renuka still been cajoled by her mom….

Dipika: (To Renuka) Renuka tum humara office dekhna chahogi? Neha tumhe dikha degi....

Renuka looked up at her with a not so sure expression… 😳

Lalitha too was surprised, but sensed Dipika wanted to talk her privately…

Lalitha: Beta aap inke saath jaao, phir hum saath ghar chalenge…..

Renuka looked forlornly at her mom not reacting….. 😕

Ajay and Boxer also sensed what Dipika wanted, so decided to play along…. 👏

Ajay: Neha????? (Coming up to her) Renuka ye kya tumhe dikhayegi… Khud chashma peheni hai… Usse pooch ki kya use khud theek se chalna aata hai, bina gire… Main tumhe dikhaoonga office… Chalo chalo…😆

Boxer: (Catching on the fun) Haan haan.. Maamu the guide…. 😛

Renuka giggled a little on seeing Ajay and Boxer's expression….. She got up slowly and Neha leading her said…

Neha: (With a mock anger) Ajay… Mujhe theek se chalna nahi aata??? Khud kabhi… 😃

Their voices disappeared down the lobby towards the pantry….

Dipika seeing them go, turned back to Lalitha and sat down in a chair beside her…

Dipika: (Placing a hand on Lalitha's hand) Laitha… Pichli baar jab aap aayi thi, to mujhe aisa kyun laga ki aap humse kuch chupa rahi hain…

Lalitha looked at Dipika shocked… Whatever it was she hadn't expected this… She didn't react in this shock…. 😲

Dipika: (Continuing) Dekhiye…. Aap ke kuch kehne se Sundar ke kaatil ka pata chal sakta hai... Or even if you want to talk your heart out, we are here to listen... Hum police waale society se crime ko nikaalne ke liye ladte hain… Hum public ke dost bhi hain… Aapko ko khush aur surakshit rakhne ke liye we do our best… Iske liye sabse jaake personally unse baat to nahi kar sakte, lekin jo koi bhi yahaan aata hai I want them to be justified, to get justice… Is something troubling you????? ⭐️

Lalitha kept looking at Dipika for a long time… She was a woman, so she had sensed something was troubling her…

The dam broke out and Laitha cried wistfully… Dipika knew this would come… It was not actually a day or two's sorrows…It seemed like years of despair…

After some time Laitha calmed down to sob… Dipika offered her water and she spoke up…

Maine Sundar se college me pyaar isliye hi kiya tha, because he was very honest and loving to everyone… Jis buniyaad par mera vishwaas aur pyaar unpar tha vo hil gaya… To zindagi kahaan rahegi??? We fought… Lekin iska dyaan rakha hi Renuka par iska asar naa pade... Humne divorce ke liye bhi mutual conclusion se hi maan liya, Renuka ke future ko dyaan me rakhte hue... Use pata hai ki hum bichad gaye, because of difference in thoughts.... Hum dono hi usse bahut pyaar karte the… I wanted her to be with me, but my job restricted me… Isliye mujhe uske papa ke saath use chodna pada… Court also ordered that…

Dipika had let Lalitha do all the talking… She knew that when something broke with force, it should never be stopped else the force would uproot them itself…..

Lalitha: (Continuing) Kya main Sundar ki body le jaa sakti hoon??? ❓

Dipika looked up stunned… 😲 She didn't expect Lalitha to ask for the body… She had thought she had to battle with her to take the body…. Seeing Dipika's stunned expression Lalitha said…….

Lalitha listened to her, but she felt the other way round….

Lalitha: (In a strong voice ) Dipika ji… Lekin ab ussse main kaise bataoongi??? Ab bhi vo sawaal poochegi…. Bahut mushkil hoga ussse ye sab samjhaana….

Dipika: (Contradicting her) Lekin Lalitha, such kayi dino tak andhere me nahi rehta… Behatar hoga ki aap khud Renuka ko sab bata de… Aapke muh se such, such lagega, kadva hoga lekin such ko vo sveekar karegi... Doosron se pata chala to dhoka ho jayega... 👏 Aur ab to vo bacchhi hai, aap jo kuch bhi usse, theek se kahengi vo manegi.... Aur ye aapki bhi zimmedaari banti hai ki use ye vishwaas dilaayein ki uske papa itne bhi bure nahi the…

Lalitha: (In a sort of helpless, pleading tone) Lekin Dipika ji main kaise… (Spreading her hands in a gesture of resignation) I can't…. Uska vishwaas mujh par se uth gaya to… Wahi meri zindagi hai, she is my future…. 😭

Dipika: (Smiling) Nahi… Itni bhi mushkil nahi hai…

Lalitha: (Shaking her head with fear) Nahi kehnaa asaan hai, karna nahi… Aap agar aisi situation me hoti to…

Laitha stopped in mid-sentence, realizing what she had said…. She shouldn't have… Even enemies must never fall in such a situation….

Lalitha: (In a sullen tone) I am sorry…

Dipika's face had actually got contracted hearing Lalitha's statement… But she also knew, that Lalitha didn't actually mean it…. 😵

Dipika: (Smiling feebly) Its okay… Lekin itni bhi mushkil nahi hai…. (In a soft cajoling voice) Aur mujhpar vishwaas kijiye, jab ek maa apne beti se such kehti hai to us beti ka pyaar aur vishwaas uske maa par bahut zyaada hota hai…. I know it… 🤔

Lalitha looked at Dipika confused…. Dipika talked as if really she had gone through something like that… Her face showed full confidence…. Her tone actually had a motherly effect….. She knew it… After all she was a mother…. 😳

Just then Neha entered the room breathless…

Neha: (Having a hand still on the door) Dipika…

Dipika looked at Neha confused… 😕 She sensed Neha wanted to talk to her…. Looking at Lalitha….

Dipika: Excuse me…

Saying this Dipika came out of the room….

Dipika: (Worried ) Kya hua Neha??? Itni excited kyun ho…

Neha: (Trying to catch her breath and speaking) Vo… Laptop… Password….

Dipika too became excited and went towards her cabin….. Neha followed her….

Dipika entered her cabin to find Vishal, Ajay and Boxer standing around the table… Renuka was seated in Vishal's place… She was typing something in the laptop and then the welcome sound of windows logging in was heard from the laptop…. Renuka had opened the system!!!!!!! 👏 😛

Dipika went upto them to hear Vishal saying….

Vishal: Renuka that's brilliant…. Thanks a lot…. 😛

He sounded very excited, happy…. 😃

Renuka: (Smiling) You are welcome…

She got up from the seat and came to Dipika….

Dipika: (Smiling) Renuka thanks.. You have helped a lot… Come your mother is waiting… 😊

Vishal had given the system to Neha who was now doing an intensive search in the system… It will take a while before they could get the details…

So Dipika took Renuka to leave her to her mother….

Lalitha was standing outside the interrogation room….

Seeing them approach, she smiled… She put her arms around her daughter and looking at Dipika said…. 🤗

Laitha: Thank you… Thanks for everything…. I am much relieved now and I think I can do it… 👏

Dipika felt very happy, she nodded… She knew Lalitha was referring to the fact that she could talk her heart out to someone…. ⭐️

Dipika: Trust me…. (Looking at Renuka, she said to Laitha) Your life is with you and will remain always… 👍🏼

Laitha hugged Dipika….

Dipika released herself from Laitha and said….

Dipika: Aap kal aake formalities poori karke body le jaa sakte hain…

Laitha nodded, smiled again…. Looking at her daughter….

Laitha: Chalein beta??? ❓

Renuka nodded…..

Renuka: (To Dipika) Bye…

Dipika: (Smiling) Bye….

Lalitha and Renuka left the office and Dipika stood looking at them....

She thought "Mother and daughter!!! 😳 Motherhood!!! 🤗 What a feeling it was!!!!!! Heavenly and Godly…. She knew it, felt it…. 👍🏼 Was proud of it… To be a woman… To be a …" 🤔

Just then her cabin door opened and Vishal thundered out, punctuating her thougths….

Dipika turned towards him startled…. 😔

Vishal: 😛 Pata chal gaya… Naam Punit Mohata… Kaam estate agency me clerk… Ghar ka pata bhi hai… Hum ab waheen kaa rahein hain… 👍🏼

Dipika nodded her approval 😊 and Vishal, Ajay and Boxer left the office in a hurry….

Neha came behind them and stood beside Dipika….

Dipika: (Turning to Neha asked) Neha, Renuka se password kaise pooche aap logon ne??? ❓

Neha: Vo, main, Ajay aur Boxer pantry me baithke baatein kar rahe the… Renuka apne weekend time paas ke baare me bata rahi thi, to usne kaha ki vo aksar apne papa se bacha ke laptop me games khelti thi aur browse karti thi… Jitne bhi passwords Sundar badalta tha vo use guess kar leti thi… To hume laga ki she would know the password and it worked…. And the rest was easy… Teen hafte ke pehle waale file creation and data updation list ko search kiya… In teen hafton me ek hi naam ke loan details the… Punit Mohata ki…. 👍🏼

Dipika: (Smiled) Good job Neha… ⭐️

Neha too smiled back and they left together to their work places……



Late Evening……

Interrogation Room…….

The man Punit Mohata was seated in the interrogation chair….. Vishal and Dipika were seated in front of him…. Boxer was standing behind him…

Vishal: Punit Mohata???? 😳

The man looked up…. Vishal studied him closely… Not more than 35 years of age… He was looking very tired and fragile… Sported a beard and moustache… Seemed not to have shaven for weeks…. Also there was a lost, glazed look into his eyes, which made Vishal shiver… Because it was very cold, no life was in them…. 🤢

Vishal: (In a cold tone) Humari investigations se pata chala hai ki aapkiSundar se jhagda hua. Aur use maarne ka motive aapka bada hai….

The man shrinked his eyes and looked up at him…. He said in a lost, far away voice…

Punit: Jhagda??? Haan…. Hua.... To??? Yahan to har roz koi naa koi, kisi naa kisi se jhagda karta hai, vo sab log un sab ko maarte phirte to nahi hain....

Dipika was surprised at his reaction.... 😲 She was always surprised at the reactions of criminals…. Maybe they had resorted to a crime due to circumstances, but when they are caught, they never show guilt… They justify themselves…. 😕 Very few do regret their action, but what use was it???? Regrettins after the action… A life cannot be brought back, right????

Even Vishal didn't like his tone……

Vishal: (In a more stern voice) Lekin aap… tumne Sundar ko dhamki di thi… Tumhe tumhare bete Lokesh ke ilaaj ke liye paise chahiye the naa???? ❓ Lekin Sundar ke rishvat maange ke kaaran tumhe loan jaldi nahi mila…. (Voice becoming soft) Jab tak aap paise ka intezaam karte, aur loan milta tumhara beta guzar gaya…. (Voice becoming stern again) Aur tumne us din se Sundar par nazar rakhna shuru kiya… Aur mouka milne par uspar attack kar diya…. 🤢

Punit had jerked his head at Vishal on the mention of his son…. He said in a teary voice….

Vishal got up forcefully… Dipika was starled, got up instantly and held his arms…. 😕

Electric shock!!!! 😳 Vishal looked turned sideways to look at Dipika! What did he feel? 🤔 Man was he really going wacky with Dipika! ❤️ He fought himself to be controlled! 😍

ipika: (In a controlling voice) Vi…

Just then the cabin door opened and Ajay entered…. Vishal and Dipika turned towards him and Dipika left Vishal's arms, involuntarily…. 😉 Ajay had a briefcase in his hands….

Placing it on his table, he said….

Ajay: Ye Punit ke ghar se mila…. Isme saare saboot hain… The main thing, this receipt…

Ajay took out a receipt from his pocket and gave it to Vishal…. Vishal studied it and gave it to Dipika… He looked at Punit in a look which said "We have got you!!!" 👏

Dipika looked at the receipt and back at Ajay…. Ajay continued….

Ajay: Cricket bat ke purchase ka receipt… Isme bar code registered hai… Shop ke system se check karenge to iska aur us bat ka code match ho jayega….

Vishal had opened the briefcase and was riffling its contents, placing them on the table…. He came across an application for loan and started studying it….

Vishal: Is file se pata chalta hai ki Punit ne loan ke liye apply kiya tha, aaj se chaar hafte pehle… Isme ek voucher bhi hai sanction ka….

He became shocked….. The loan had been sanctioned!!!! But then Sharmila had said that the loan had not been sanctioned and so Punit had got angry over it!!! 😲

Punit was looking at a photograph of an eight year old boy… His eyes were glistened… Vishal took back the receipt from Dipika and shoved it before Punit's eyes….

Punit held up his hand… 😒

Punit looked up… Now tears were rolling down his eyes…. He took a birthday card from the briefcase and held it close to his heart, sniffling… 😕

Punit: Mera beta, Lokesh… Kitna intelligent tha pata hai aapko??? Uski maa to use paida deti hi chal basi... Tabse main uske liye hi ji raha tha.... Cricket me to champ tha mera beta... Is umar me school junior team ka captain.... 👏

Punit was smiling proudly. He took out another photograph from the briefcase. Vishal and Dipika saw that it was of a school team, obviously cricket, with Lokesh holding the cup in front of the team…. 👍🏼

Punit: (Was continuing, in a lost voice 😳 ) Ek baar school me khelte khelte gir gaya.. Khoon bahut beh chuka tha lekin rukh nahi raha tha… Mera bacchha behosh hokar gir gaya…. 🥺 Hospital me admit kiya to doctor ne kaha ki uske blood clotting system me kuch problem hai… Operation kar sakte hain, lekin bahut paise kharch honge… Ek maheene tak ilaaj chalta raha aur mere saare savings kharch ho gaye…. Paison ke liye maine medical loan aaply kiya… HB bank me loan jaldi milne ki khabar thi aur interest bhi kam tha… Maine apply kiya aur sanction bhi ho gaya… Lekin jis din mujhe paise chahiye the, us din us… (Anger welling inside him) usne rishvat maanga… Pehle nahi maanga tha… Socha hoga ki jab paise dene ka time aaya to customer desperate honge!!!! Us… Ek number ke chor ne!!!! 😡 Maine kaha ki mere paas itne paise nahi the use dene ko... Loan ke paison se doonga, lekin vo mana nahi… Maine jhagada kiya… Doosre din hi loan cancel kiya gaya, iska notice mil gaya… Mujhe dukh hua, lekin kaise bhi karke paise ka intezaam karke uske ghar jaake diya tha maine… Lekin… Lekin… (He choked on his words ) Mera beta doosre din hi…. Tab se maine us aadmi par nazar rakha aur ek din shaam ko jab vo office se louta to uske peeche peeche hi gaya aur cricket bat se maar diya… 😈 (He smiled again 😛 ) Vo bat naa mere bete ka tha… Uska birthday tha kal.. Socha ki jab vo hospital se aayega tab uske birthday par use surprise karoonga… Bahut dino se naya bat lene ki soch raha tha…. Aur ek din, teen maheene pehle usne ise dukaan par dekha... Vishal looked at him and back at Dipika and the others…. Everyone had the same thoughts!!!!!

Very pitifull!!!!! 😔 Life sometimes becomes so shocking and unjustifiable!!!!!!!! Life is so weird….. 😭

Boxer tapped Punit's shoulder and led him away…. Ajay followed him out carrying all the evidences….. 😕

Vishal and Dipika came out of the room and walked towards their cabin…..

Dipika: (Smiling) Good work… Vishal! 👏

Vishal looked at Dipika mildly… This one quality he liked very much about her. She never hesitated to speak out. Be it praise or something which she didn't like! 👍🏼

And why was it nowadays he wanted her to praise him… He felt like he should be in her good books!!!!!!!☺️

Vishal: (Smiling back) Thank you Dipika ji…. Aap bhi acche the… 😊

Dipika just nodded off the comment.

Vishal: (In an upset tone) Dipika ji… Zindagi bhi kitni ajeeb hoti hai… Hai naa??? Sundar aur Punit dono apne bacchon se bahut pyaar karte the…. Both have proved a good father, lekin unki insaniyat??? 😭

Dipika: (Accepting) People become so aggressive sometimes…. Ab unki aggressiveness se do jaan chala gaya… Lokesh ki aur Sundar ki…. 🤢

Vishal: Aggressive to ho jaate hain sabhi, lekin usme bhi dyaan rakha jaa sakta hai ki vo kya kar rahe hain…. (Dipika looked at him smiling; she knew he was referring to himself) Bas sirf self-controlled hona chahiye…. Self controlled is very important for an officer especially… Lekin vo kahan dyaan rehta hai aaj kal ke officeron ko, bas gussa karna janta hain ya rules todna…. Just like Aryan!!!!!!! 😲

Dipika stopped in her tracks shocked… Aryan again!!!!! 😲 Wahi to!!!! Bahut samay ho gaya is Vishal ne Aryan ko taunt nahi kiya tha!!!! She decided to ask him straight now…. She had wanted to do that before once, but that phone call had interrupted her….. 😒

Vishal was going in the front when he noticed Dipika was not beside him… He looked behind and saw her staring at him… He came back to her and asked…

Vishal: (With a genuine conern) Kya hua Dipika ji? Aap… 😕

Dipika: (Looking at him with a slight tilt of her head) Vishal can I ask you something?

Vishal: (Wondering "From when did Dipika start asking permission?") Dipika ji please… Of course you can…

Dipika: Tum Aryan ko jaante ho? 😲

Vishal stood shocked… Now he hadn't expected her to be so frank about it….

Hmm…. Well!!!!!! Aryan!!! Did he know him??? ❓ Orrrrrrrr did he not!!!!!! 😉 He looked at her for sometime and then shrinking his eyes, smiling one sided, sarcastically said…. 😉

Vishal: (He sort of dragged the word) Aa…r…ya…n???? 😎

Dipika got irritated now…. She spoke out stern…….

Dipika: Vishal come on. Jab se tum Special Squad aaye ho tab se tum kabhi na kabhi, har mouke par Aryan ko taunt karte rahe ho… I mean tum ussse mile bhi nahi ho… But you keep telling about it… It has gone too far now… Lekin ab mujhe aisa lagta hai ki you do know him… Else you wouldn't know so much!!!!!! 😡

Vishal was all the while smiling at her… He always enjoyed this secrecy game… Often he had done this before… Of course nothing serious, but just for fun.… 😃

Vishal: (In an innocent voice) Dipika ji… Maine Aryan ke baare me hi kaha naa??? Aap itna gussa kyun hoti hain??? I was just…

Dipika thought "Yes, you said about Aryan only… Mujhe gussa nahi hona chahiye to kise hona chaiye"… Speaking out aloud…. 😳 ❤️

Dipika: (Shaking her head) No Vishal… There is something… You do know Aryan right? But how?? ❓

Vishal smiled, rolled his tongue in his mouth and after sometime taking a deep breathe answered….

Vishal: (Shrugging his shoulders, sort of imitating Dipika) Do you know Aryan??? 😆 (Stroking his chin) Iska jawaab mujhse zyaada koi aur theek se answer kar sakta hai, hai naa Dipika ji? 😈

Aryan again!!! The person he mentioned now was of course Aryan!!! She knew!!! Again he had mentioned Aryan!!! Dipika was fuming and about to speak out again…. 😡

Vishal smiled seeing Dipika's fuming eyes… 😉 Before she could say anything he turned and went to his cabin…. He opened the door looked sideways at her… He looked at his watch and looking up at her said….

Vishal: (In a sort of mock concern) Dipika ji! Time nahi hua? Hospital nahi jaana kya? 😲 ❓

He raised his eyes brows, batted his eyelids and smiling again went into the cabin….. 😆

Dipika folded her arms stood her place, staring at the disappearing man… 😳 That guy was so frustrating!!!! She knew!!!!! She knew, he somehow knew Aryan!!!! 🤔 But how??? They don't seem like relations, but still he knew so much about him…. Not only that he knew about him and his activities in Special Squad also… 😵
Neha had watched all that had happened from the time Dipika and Vishal came out of the cabin. Actually it was time to go to the hospital. She was waiting for Dipika…. Ajay and Boxer had gone to the police station to hand over the criminal, so they would come directly to the hospital… So Neha had decided to accompany Dipika….

She had taken her purse and just turned, when she saw it happen. She hadn't exactly heard the conversation, but Dipika's reaction and Vishal's especially, had suggested that the guy had done or rather said something irritating and frustrating…. 😉

She heard Vishal calling out to Dipika and entering the cabin… She was dumb founded at such a comment… She now came forward to Dipika taking a look inside the cabin….

Neha: Dipika?

Dipika: (Looking at Neha in thoughtfull tone) He knows Aryan Neha. 🤓

Neha was shocked???😲What Vishal knows Aryan??? 😔 How??? 😒 What??? 😕 But????

Nehal: What??? Lekin tumhe kaise pata? Did he say something?

Dipika: (Shaking her head) No.. Not directly… Something which he said…. Uski baaton se saaf zaahir hota hai ki he definitely knows Aryan… 🤓

Nehal: But how will we find out?

Dipika: (Thoughtfully) I don't know how??? (With a determined voice) But sure it is upto us to find out how. Maybe… (Stopped at what she was to say, looked at her watch) I have an idea. Raaste me batati hoon. You are coming with me right? ❓

Neha nodded…

Dipika: Okay… One minute… I'll get my laptop…

Saying this Dipika went off to the cabin to get her laptop…

She entered the cabin, went straight to her table, taking the laptop came back out… She didn't even, just as glance towards Vishal!!! 😔

Vishal saw Dipika enter the cabin and taking her laptop… He looked at her, the smile returning back on his face… He expected her to look at him… Atleast wish him "Good evening"… But no!!! His face dropped and he became upset… 😭

At the mention of Aryan, Dipika becomes either bubbly or worried… He had noticed it several times discreetly before…. Today she had actually become angry, because he taunted him…. It was when the truth hit him…. Of course she was in love with him!!! Wasn't she??? 😲 He had known this even before coming to Special Squad didn't he? 😵 Then how did he allow his feelings to develop towards her!!!!! 💔

He looked at her going with Neha… And kept looking till she went… Kept looking even after she disappeared from sight…. 🥺





The cabin door opened and Haseena entered the cabin….

Vishal: (Looking at Haseena) Oh… Haan… Aao Haseena…. (Then remembering) Sorry subah se tumhe dekha hi nahi, so I couldn't wish… Happy Ramadan!!! 👏

Haseena: (Smiling) Thank you sir!!!

Vishal: (Smiling) To Special Squad ne tumhe aaj ek surprise diya???

Haseena: (Her voice becoming enthusiastic) Haan sir! Dipika ji ka arrangement tha. So sweet of them… Maine ise expect hi nahi kiya tha! I… I was totally speechless… Dipika ji is very nice… In fact everyone here are nice… Humne galat samjha pehli baar. 👍🏼

Vishal: (Taking a deep breath) Hmmm… Yes Dipika is very nice.😍 Unhone us din mujhe lunch bhijvaya, ye to mujhe abhi tak vishwaas nahi ho raha hai. But of course she is different, very different from every one else…. 😳

Haseena looked at her boss closely… 😳 Because Vishal was praising a lady… She had never heard him praise anyone so much in her so many days with him….

She had her doubts… She smiled inwardly… Was her boss in love??? 😳 Now that was a surprise… ☺️Because she knew that he never had given that matter even a single thought… His mother had insisted many a times, but his job demanded most of his attention, so he could not think of it….. 🤪

Vishal: (Working on his laptop) To batao… Ramzan kaise chal raha? Abbu, Ammi kaise hain? Waise Riyaaz ne college join kar di kya?? ❓

Haseena: Ramzan acchha chal raha hai sir. Abbu, Ammi…………… 😛

The talks continued……………………………. 😊
Weeks sped by….. 😛

Special Squad had solved three cases within the month…. 👏

The whole team of Special Squad was surprised by Vishal's talent…. He solved the cases very brilliantly and efficiently…. 👏 Especially in a case where the suspected killer was proved to be in another place at the time of killing…. But his investigations proved that the guy had actually done the killing and to escape the blame, had framed circumstances of being out of station at that time….. 🤢

What surprised our team was…. Vishal was very composed nowadays…. 😉 His investigations and even interrogations were very clean and they had not seen him as edgy and angry as he was the first time when he came to Special Squad…. He was now a totally different personality, after solving his first case in Special Squad…. 😎



The days also showed a steady growing friendship between Vishal and Dipika…. Dipika was impressed with his investigating skills and his change of nature from the time he entered Special Squad….. Also he was very pukka about reports…. He submitted them the very next day the case was over…. ⭐️ He was a stickler for punctuality…. 👍🏼



As for Vishal's relationship with the other members of Special Squad, it was still cold… Very cold I should say!!!! 😵 They still kept distance with him…. But felt free nowadays in reporting cases and evidences…. Discussions went on with no new issues cropping up…. He had actually become free and jovial with them too….. 😊 And just yesterday he refrained them from calling him 'sir'…He had said that he now believes in 'Open Culture' and this makes Special Squad a special place…. Surprise! Surprise! 😲



As for Vishal, his experiences in terms of professional and personal were one of a different kind, which he hadn't experienced so far! Never had he felt drawn towards someone so much! But he constanly reminded him that maybe he was going on a false track which may lead nowhere…. 🥺



One thing that didn't change was Vishal taunting Aryan! Of course he had reduced it, but would pull off that bit at a time when no one would be able to get him back… 😡 Like, during a discussion so that they would be busy with the case and not able to question him…… By the time they could ask, it would have been long time past….. 😉



Haseena's friendship developed fast with all of the team members of Special Squad…. 👏 Except with one of course she didn't hold a relationship of friendship anymore….. 😳 She had soon become a part of Special Squad unofficially… 😛



As for Aryan!!!!!!!! Poor dear!!! 😕 He is still in hospital… But one thing which is good is he is improving day by day and the doctors are happy with his health too…. 😊 One day last week when Dipika and Neha had visited the hospital, they were very sad to see Aryan in such a pathetic state…. 😭 He had sported a moustache, beard and looked very patiently…. And they couldn't bear to see him so… Come what may they wanted to see him fresh…. If he was so, they could actually console themselves saying that he was sleeping… And getting Aryan to sleep so peacefully in a bed like that was very rare… So they were some how happy about it that way…. 😳

Also one thing which Dipika feared was, Aryan was in bed for a long time now… So there are chances of him developing bed sore… 😕 So she had approached, Dr. D'Souza about it…..

Doctor's Cabin….

Dipika and Neha entered the doctor's cabin……

Dipika: Good evening uncle…. 😊

Dr. D'Souza looked up from his file. Seeing who it was he gave a loving smile, and welcomed them…. 😛

Doctor: Ah… Dipika beta… Andar aao… Come in please… Neha aao… Baitho…

He said indicating the seats in front of his table…..

Dipika and Neha smiling sat down… The doctor himself opened the conversation….

He leaned forward, put his hands on the table… Entwining his fingers, he rested his chin on its top and looked down at both of them over his glasses……🤓

Doctor: To Aryan kaisa hai??? ❓

Dipika and Neha looked at each other surprised. Now a doctor had to answer that and here he was instead asking them!!!

Neha: (Confused) Doctor, ye to aapko pata hona chahiye…. Phir… 😕

Doctor: (Giggling) Neha, as a doctor mujhe pata hai ki mera patient kaisa hai. As a visitor aapko batana hai, ki do you see any improvement in him. Tabhi to sahi hoga ki sacchhi me the patient's health is improving… 😆

Neha and Dipika smiled back… Of course… What he said was hundred percent truthfull… 😊

Dipika: Very well doing uncle. Hume ab poora vishwaas ho gaya hai ki Aryan bilkul theek ho jayegaa.

Doctor: (Making a serious face) Matlab ab tak vishwaas nahi tha???

Dipika got stunned; actually she didn't mean it so…. Actually their confidence was increased more now… That is what she wanted to say! 😒

Dipika: Vo… Main… Nahi…

Doctor: (Giggling again😆) Are nahi beta mazaak kar raha tha…. Ab bolo koi khaas baat?

Dipika: (Looking at Neha and back to the doctor) Well uncle, hum ye poochne aaye the ki, Aryan bahut dino se bed me hi hai… To bed sore hone ke chances hain…

Doctor: (Nodding his head) Vo to hai… 🤔

Dipika: (Slowly) To phir…

Doctor: (Interrupting in a soft way) Dipika beta, darne ki baat nahi hai. Shayad tumne notice nahi kiya, Aryan ke case sheet me ek Physiotherapist ka naam hoga. Vo do din me ek baar aate hain aur Aryan ko full body massage diya jaa raha hai. Maine uska intezaam pehle hafte me hi kar diya tha, when he was admitted…. ⭐️

Dipika: (With gratitude) Uncle that... That is really nice of you….

Doctor: (Putting his hands on the table and clasping them) Dipika, no need to thank me. Ek doctor hone ke naate mujhe pata hai ki ek patient ko kya zarrorat hai… Aur ye bhi kiya jaata hai… Jab bhi new sheets badle jaate hain, to we don't roll him… Use bed se neeche utarvaake, sofa me bithaya jaata hai… Do wardboys ke support se… Uske spinal par affect nahi hoga aur bed sore ke chances bhi kum hain….. 👏

Neha: That's a great idea doctor… Very thoughtfull… 👍🏼

Doctor: (Looking at Neha) Thank you Neha beta…. (Back at Dipika) Waise aur kya poochna chahthi ho Dipika?❓

Dipika looked up surprised….😲 She was in deep thinking… In a dilemma as to whether to ask or not… As it is he was doing so much for them….

Dipika: (Hesistantly) Vo uncle, aap se ek aur favour chahiye tha…. Actually we are not (indicating herself and Neha) able to see Aryan like that in beard… So hum soch rahe the ki, is there any possibility ki uski shaving????

Doctor: (Smiling) Bas itni si baat hai? Of course… Uska bhi arrangement ho jayega… Khush???😛

Dipika: (Smiling back very happily) Thank you uncle, thank you so much…. Er… (Looking at the watch) Der ho gayi, hume chalna chahiye….😊

Doctor: (Nodding) Okay… Bye… Good night!

Dipika and Neha got up….

Dipika: Good night uncle!

Neha: Good night doctor and thanks!

The doctor smiling acknowleged her thanks and kept watching Dipika….

Neha was the first to leave the cabin, with Dipika following… Just as she was about to leave the cabin….

Doctor: Dipika….🤓

Dipika turned back and saw D'Souza getting up from his chair and coming to her….

Doctor: (Looking at her in a knowing sort of smile) Aryan is very dear to you, is it?😉

Dipika looked at him speechless! How did he know! Was her concern becoming so obvious now! She hung her head blushing, not knowing how to respond….😳

Doctor: Beta… (Dipika looked up) Mujhe pata hai. Catherine ne bataya… You don't even worry a bit… Aryan is improving very much faster… Actually more than I had expected… So it may be very soon when he recovers….

Dipika looked at him with tears glistening in her eyes….😭(Tears of joy) She nodded happily… Dr. D'Souza gave her an affectionate hug and she left the cabin….🤗

Neha was waiting outside… She had heard the doctor call out to Dipika and also had heard the conversation… They were near the door talking… She was feeling a sense of satisfaction for Aryan and happy about it!!! Finally they could hope a life filled with love and affection for their chief and best friend!!!❤️😍

And… 😉 There was also a steady… No… No… No… No… No… No… A fast growth of love relationships in Special Squad……. ❤️ 😳

Dipika's love and affection for Aryan was growing day by day. ⭐️ Every Saturday and Sunday nights saw her late into the night in the hospital… One thing which she didn't like was that she couldn't be there during the whole of night… She had her restrictions, come what may! The other team members of course are Special Squad officers, so they don't miss anything! They noticed this and felt happy for both of them! 😎

Now what to say about our first legendary Special Squad jodi!!! They held the fort, always bickering and in the end the evening would see Ajay trying to pacify Neha and of course Neha, his Anarkali would agree…. 😆

Anddddddddddddd…… Well should I say that another jodi was also developing feelings, unsaid, unseen! But only according to them! They didn't know that the others noticed their stealing glances, cheeky smiles, melting looks…. 😳 Hmm… ❤️ But Boxer and Haseena also had their restrictions… It was Ramazan and they knew that this month was fully dedicated to God… So they gradually learnt and must say were still trying to control their feelings, 😉 but both of their prayers held this one wish always!!!!!!!!!




It was the eve of EID….. 😊

It was afternoon…. Only the previous day had the team solved another case…. So they were free, of course the paper work was due, as always…. 😵

Boxer tried to get in a word, but Ajay shushed him…

Ajay: (Making a face) Tumne kaha to???? England ki Maharani ho kya??? Maine kaha naa Boxer.... 😆

Neha: (Shocked at what he said, sternly) Ajay!!!! Khud ko kya Shehzaade Saleem samajhte ho??? Oh… Ho… Never… Haseena.... 🤣

Haseena tapped Neha's shoulder to talk to her…. But Neha pushed her hands away, intent in making a point to Ajay…

Ajay: (Shaking his palm in casual 'no way' gesture) Tcchhh… Boxer.... 😉

Neha: (Angrily) Haseena.... 😡

Boxer: (Tried to stop them) But... 😕

Ajay: (Equally angry) Nai Boxer.... 😡

Haseena: (Tried to interject) Lekin... 😕

Neha was standing, staring at Ajay…. Hands on her hips…

Ajay was also carrying the same pose….

Neha: No… Haseena… (Pushing up her specs)🤓

Haseena and Boxer looked at each other helplessly... 😒

Ajay: Boxer.... (Shrinking his eyes, putting his head forward)

Neha: Humph.... (Neha turned her head the other way, with folded arms)

Ajay: Hmpf... (Ajay turned his head the other way, with folded arms)

"Ab bas bhi karo"…..

Both Haseena and Boxer said it together. They pushed Neha and Ajay away from each other and came in between them….

Boxer: (To Ajay and Neha) Tum dono humari baat sunoge? 🤓

Haseena: (To Neha) Neha, please suno to… 😕

Ajay turned looking at Boxer and then at Haseena….

Ajay: Haseena I am really sorry… Lekin ladkiyon ki ho to bahut girly girly hota hai… 😆

Neha: (Turning sharply on Ajay) Matlab kya hai girly ka??? Oh... So want all those boys stuff do you? Ajay…. 😈

Boxer in his side had trouble controlling him… He caught Ajay with both hands on his shoulders, but Ajay was trying to come forward and Boxer's grip slackened… In all that confusion, he hit back at Haseena…. 😲

Haseena who was catching one of Neha's hands stuttered and left her grip…. She fell sideways; dashing her head against Boxer's chest and Boxer involuntarily left Ajay's arms and caught Haseena's arms…. To get a grip Haseena also caught Boxer's hands… 🤗

Haseena forgot herself and she gave in to Boxer's grip…. Even after standing erect, they both kept looking at each other, having their holds…. 😍

Ajay and Neha looked at each other and rolled their eyes skywards….

This was now actually becoming a daily happening in Special Squad… These two never knew the time and instance… 😳 Whenever they saw each other, Haseena would slip and miraculously it would be Boxer saving her from getting hurt!!! 😉 🤣

Welllllll…. 🤔 Once Zubin did try to help her, but…. Boxer had rushed forward to save Haseena because of which it was Zubin who had got hurt instead… 😆 Had to be on leave for two days… Sprain in his ankle… Poor man!!!! 😕

The whole of Special Squad was now aware that some khichdi was cooking between Boxer and Haseena…. But these two didn't even have a hint that the whole office knew their feelings…. 😉 Why even Dipika and Vishal had noticed, that Boxer and Haseena were getting closer to each other than before!!!!!!!☺️

With mischief in his mind…. 😉

Ajay: (In a shocked voice) Haila Dipika! 😲

Boxer and Haseena immediately left each other grips and backed off, stuttering looking around at the entrance…. [:D/]

After looking around when they found Dipika was not there, they knew Ajay had bluffed! Haseena just blushed smiling…. Boxer also actually blushed, but to hide it he said in a mock anger…. 😡

Boxer: (Trying to give him a punch) Ajay!!!!!

Ajay ran a short distance with Boxer following him and they came back to their places laughing…. 🤣

Haseena: (Laughing a little, said to Neha) Neha, please humari baat ab to suno!

Boxer said smoothing his hair….

Boxer: (His voice stern) Haan… Ajay, Neha… Ab humari baat suno….. (Pausing, he looked at Haseena and then continued cautiously) Maine aur Haseena ne ispar decide kar li hai…

Ajay and Neha: (Shocked) Kya??? 😲

Haseena: (In a quiet voice) Haan… Vo kal humne decide kiya tha. Maine Boxer ji se poocha ki yahan aap Eid ki daavat kaise dete hain? To unhone kaha ki Eid ke din hi vo aap sab ko daavat de dete hain… Vo aap ke saath hi Eid manaate hain… To maine unse kaha ki is baar kyun naa mere ghar me mana lein? ❓

Boxer: (Looking at both of them) Haan… Haseena ki Ammi, Abbu ko bhi ye acchha laga… Lekin maine kaha ki guest ki food arrangements main dekh loonga… Refreshments aur entertainment Haseena ki zimmedaari….

Haseena: (With a very small voice, not knowing how to tell it) Ji... Lekin Ammi ne keh diya, Eid ka khaana, humare vrath todne ke liye, vo banayengi ghar pe hi… 😊

Boxer: Haan… (Pausing a bit)Aur mujhe bhi waheen bulaya hai unhone… Eid ka chaand dekhne…☺️

Ajay and Neha looked at both of them dumbstruck… Their mouth opened…. What a???? 😍

Here they were two of them fighting who would give them this year's treat and these two had planned ahead, not even breathing a word to them!!!!

It was usually Ajay and Neha who helped Boxer plan out the avenue, dishes for the daavat… But now!!!!! Hmm…. Kya ho raha hai bhai?!?!?!?! 🤪 Khicdhi kuch zyada hi pak rahi hai bhai!!!!!!!!!! 😉

Ajay and Neha looked at each other shaking their heads… They both are a goner case… They decided!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boxer and Haseena looked at the other two and back at each other… Actually it was true!

Previous evening, Haseena had phoned Boxer asking him about the party for Eid… He had said usually he gave the daavat in a hotel with caterers arranged… Each year, Ajay and Neha planned for him…. He would pay the cost… But Boxer would himself prepare the dish with which he breaks his fast, that alone … He had learned one dish for this special occasion only! 👍🏼

Haseena's Ammi had come over the phone and asked him to join their daavat at their house… Mumbai was a new place for them, so they knew no one except Haseena's friends in Special Squad… Also it seemed that Haseena had said to her family about him having no family…. 😭 It was clear to Boxer from her talks! She was very caring and concerned…. Boxer had agreed but asked permission to arrange the caterers… Haseena's Ammi had agreed and said would take care of the entertainment…. 😳

Just then they heard the clip clop of heels… All four of them turned back and saw Dipika coming into the office….

All looked at each other and immediately dispersed to their places… 😲

Nowadays Dipika was back being strict with them… She actually chided them saying they had started to talk a lot nowadays making teams, everywhere and anywhere she finds them together…. Scolded them for having forgotten it was Special Squad office!!!! 😵

So they restrained from talking other things than the case outside the pantry, when she was around!

Dipika' Cabin……

Dipika entered her cabin….

Gave a glance towards Vishal who was checking a file…

She placed her laptop, and when to the idols on the shelf…. Before putting her hands together, she noticed small flowers placed in front of each idol… She smiled little…. 😊

It was nowadays Vishal's usual gesture! 😉

In the first week, the next day after they he had solved his first Special Squad case, when Dipika entered her cabin she was surprised to find small flowers placed in front of her idols… Vishal was there in the cabin, but she didn't think of asking him… She had asked everyone, including Boxer and Haseena whether they had noticed someone placing the flowers… Only after sometime she had asked Vishal and he had said it was him! 😲

She was surprised! Because she had never thought Vishal would be having so much belief in God… From that day on daily there would be flowers placed in front of the idols… And Dipika was impressed with Vishal's circumstantial mind, not to bring in very strong fragrant flowers… These flowers smelt very mild and were refreshing…. 😎

Dipika closed her eyes, prayed and turned back….

Vishal was just signing off the file… She approached his table…

Dipika: (Smiling) Good morning!

Vishal looked up!!!!!!! He saw her looking very fresh as a daisy!!!!!!! ❤️ He really awed at the stamina this lady held!!! 👍🏼

He knew that Dipika was at the hospital till around visting hours and she would also visit Aryan in the mornings before coming to the office….. 😳 But still she never showed any fatigue…. 🥱 Also last week she had to deal with the court hearings of almost all the cases that were ever pending in Special Squad… She was rarely in the office…. 👏

With all these thoughts running in his mind……

Vishal: (Smiling in turn) Good morning Dipika ji… (Extending the file he had) Ye kal ke case ki reports! 😲

Dipika mildly surprised took the file and started going through them…. She commented…

Vishal sat gazing at her… His face didn't show any expressions, he had learnt to control all his emotions in this field… But he had tough time not looking at her….☺️

Dipika: Vishal, kal der shaam ko hi case khatam hua naa? To itni jaldi reports taiyaar ho gaye? 🤓

She looked at him quesitioningly…. ❓

Vishal hastily averting gaze, checking his laptop.…

Vishal: Oh... 😵 Hrm… 🤔 That's nothing Dipika ji! Case ke beech jab hum evidences ke liye wait karte hain, or for a new investigation to be carried out, main apne reports ko update kar deta hoon… I don't like piling up things… Last minute me frustrate kar dete hain! Unnecessary tension and worries… 😕 Nahi to last minute me der raat tak jaage rehnaa hoga, which also I don't like… Is liye… So by the time yesterday's case was over, nearly 90% of my report was over… Baaki ke ten percent aaj subah aake finish kar diya! ⭐️ 👏

Dipika: (Nodding her head) Hmm… That's nice…. Great work! 👍🏼

Vishal: (Not trying to sound very pleased) Thank you Dipika ji…. 😳

Closing the file, she looked down at him…. After a long thought she said……

Dipika: (With a twinkle in her eyes) Vishal… You can call me Dipika! ⭐️

She went back to study the file and turned to go back to her seat….

Vishal looked on at her mildly surprised! 😳 He smiled to himself! Of course when he had put down the restriction, she had too…. He admired her more than ever… He kept looking at her! 😍

Boxer: (His smile fading, but not showing it 😳 ) Good morning!

He was surprised…. Haila!!!!!!!! 😲 This guy had called Boxer Boxer!!!!!!!! 😕 Matlab, he never went in for nick names….. First time in this month!!!!! Hmm… Hmm… Hmm… 🤔

Of course Dipika didn't fail to notice this sudden change in Boxer's face expression… One was of surprise…. But another reason she knew, they didn't like him as of yet!!!

She thought 'When will these guys understand? Why were they so hostile towards Vishal? He was not so bad after all…' 😵

Haseena started….

Haseena: Actually hum dono aapko invite karne aaye hain….

Dipika and Vishal stunned at this words looked at each other! 😲

Invite? ❓ So soon? 😉 Well…. That was very fast! 😆 Mean, they knew that Boxer and Haseena were getting attracted towards each other… They had noticed this several times… but never expected it to be tied in a relation so soon….

Before either of them could react Haseena said….

Haseena: Kal shaam ko mere ghar me Eid ki daavat hai… Dipika ji aap aayengi naa?

Vishal and Dipika again looked at each other, laughing in their minds!!!! 😉 😃 They also naa, what and all they got to think in this minute…..

Dipika: (Smiling back at Haseena 😊 ) Well… Sure Haseena! That's really nice…. I'll surely come…. (Thinking something, looking at Boxer) Boxer tum bhi har saal daavat dete ho naa? 😊 (Putting the file on her table)

Oh! Oh! He knew this question would come! He was thinking how to answer it…. After some pause…. 😔

Boxer: (Starting slowly) Vo… Main aur Haseena saath me daavat….

He left the sentence unfinished. Couldn't complete it Poor man!!! Ye sab uske liye naya tha naa!!! 😳

Dipika rose her eyebrows, looked at him and Haseena! Well, well… that was nice… Good !!! They did make a good pair!!

Dipika: (Nodding) Theek hai….

Haseena: (Towards Vishal, with an upset tone) Sir aap is saal atleast aayenge naa? 😒

Vishal looked at her and laughed out a little…. 😆

Vishal: Haseena itne saal main bahar tha, shehar se… Isliye aaya nahi, to tumne kuch kaha nahi. Lekin is baar nahi aaya to tum mujhe chodne waali ho nahi… Aur to aur Ammi se main daant nahi kha sakta! Main zaroor aaoonga…

Haseena smiled at his comment….

Boxer and Dipika looked on wondering… Seemed Vishal and Haseena's family were closer! Vishal did seem to be a jovial type… 👏

Dipika was impressed with his good gestures and character! 👍🏼

But Boxer was not! He always felt something cheeky with him, but actually none was there! What he was feeling was his loyality towards Aryan and his wish for Aryan Dipika's relationship to go ahead in full blossom! Like everyone else in special squad felt…. 😍

Anddddddddd…… Man was feeling a teeny weeny bit jealous with the way Haseena had with full authority chided Vishal and Vishal had reciprocated…. 😉 Matlab he did know they had only a relationship of colleague and were also friends…. Now what can we do??? If Boxer and Haseena had also an open relationship, they could also get false angry with each other….. Ab vo, kithi door ki baat hai???? Or is it??????? 😉


Just as Haseena and Boxer took leave and left the cabin , the phone rang…..

Dipika: Hello… Special Squad……… Kahaan? 🤓

As Dipika took down the address, the special squad jeeps sped down the lane towards the address…. A new case was in their wake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ⭐️

Vishal and the Special Squad team entered the hospital…….

Vishal went to the reception directly and enquired….

Vishal: (To the receptionist) Excuse me… Hum Special Squad se hain. Hume yahan kisi Dr. Madhav Shinde ne call kiya tha….

Receptionist: Ji haan… (Indicating a man coming towards them) Vo rahe!

Vishal: Thank you!!!!!

Saying thanks, Vishal went to meet the doctor who was coming towards them….

Vishal: (Extending his hand) Dr. Madhav Shinde????

Doctor: (Shaking hands) Ji. Aap???

Vishal: (Nodding his head) Ji… Hum Special Squad se hain. Main Vishal Malhotra. Special Squad ka Chief Investigator… 👍🏼

Doctor: Oh… Please come… Maine hi phone kiya tha.

Vishal: (Looking around the hospital) Yahan koi murder hua hai kya??? 🤓

Doctor: (Hesistantly) Well… Not exactly…..

Vishal looked at the doctor confused. If there was no murder, why did he call them? These doctors naa…. He was about to retort back when the doctor continued…. 😡

Doctor: Aap mere saath aayiye, please…

He led him down the corridor. The rest of the team also followed…. They had heard the conversation and were also confused as to why they were called to the hospital, of all places especially with no murder taken place! Boxer and Ajay were surverying the hospital for anything amiss or different!

The doctor was leading Vishal somewhere all the while explaining the case…..

Doctor: Actually kal raat ko humare yahan teen cases aaye the food poisoning kei… Usme se do patients ko hum bacha sake the… Lekin ek patient ki halat bahut kharaab ho gayi thi… We tried the whole night…. Aur aaj subah unki condition bahut hi serious ho gayi thi and she expired... 🤢

Vishal was taking in the entire details still thinking about why they were summoned here for a case of food poisoning! All the while his sharp eyes were taking in the details of the hospital! 👏

Vishal: So doc! This is a simple case of food poisoning… Shayad unki health bahut hi kharaab ho gayi ho? Where do we come in here…. 🤔

Doctor: (Interjecting) Mr. Vishal… Agar ye ek simple case of food poisoning hota to main aapko shayad nahi bulata… But its not so! Hume shak hai ki the patient a lady was poisoned! Arsenic!!!!! 😕

Vishal was now shocked! 😲 What arsenic????? Now that was a serious crime! 😡

The doctor stopped and Vishal noticed that they had reached the morgue… A ward boy was standing outside the morgue… The doctor indicated to open the door… The doctor entered the room… Vishal and the team followed him inside!

The doctor went to the shelves in the opposite wall… He went stood on on side of a shelf…. Vishal was standing opposite to him and the rest of the team surrounded….

The wardboy opened one of the drawers in the shelf…….

It was a woman! Middle aged, good looking and fair!

Immediately Shotgun approached the body and checked the face! Vishal moved back to give him space and went to the other side to talk to the doctor!!!

Vishal: (Seeing Shotgun examining the body, asked the doctor) Lekin aapko shak karne ki koi wajah? ❓

Doctor: Hmm…. (Nodding) Pehli baat to ki maine kaheen bhi nahi suna ki food poisoning se koi itna serious ho sakta hai aur mar sakta hai… Doosri baat inki mauth ke baad, jab maine death certificate banana ke liye inki analysis ki to I was shocked… Her eyes were dilated! 😔 Actually inki mauth subah ke chaar baje ho gayi thi… Lekin unke family ko inform karne ke baad, jab unhone inki death certificate ki request abhi kit hi… To main abhi unki report banana ke liye inki examine ki thi…. Food poisoning se kisi ki body color change nahi hoti aise… Eyes were turning alightly blue too!!!!!! 🤢

Vishal nodded and looked back at Shotgun…..

Shotgun: (Looked up at Vishal) Clearly seems the case of poisoning! Body pe neela pan chaa raha hai! Cause of death poisoining and death ke time se dekha jaye to poison is definitely arsenic!

Vishal: (Stunned) Arsenic! Arsenic aam medical shops me bhi milte hain! But don't you need a medical prescription for that?

Boxer: (Indicating the body) Inki identity, family????

Doctor: Ji… Ayiye main details deta hoon…..

Vishal: Shotgun!!!!!!!! Special Squad office!!!!!! 😊

Saying this he left with the doctor and Boxer….

Shotgun stood erect, staring at him leave…. Taken aback by what Vishal had said…. 😲

Ajay was also taken aback and seeing Shotgun's expression approached him….. 😲

Ajay: (Tapping Shotgun's shoulder) Shotgun kya hua???

Shotgun looked at the morgue entrance and back at Ajay with mouth slightly opened….

Shotgun: (Lifting his hand, indicating with his finger) Usne abhi kya kaha????

Ajay hit the palm of his hand in Shotgun's ear… Must have been hard, because Shotgun hurt, snapped back and looked at Ajay angrily……

Shotgun: Ajay!!!!!!!! (Rubbing his ears)

Ajay: (Grinning 😃 ) Yaar, nahi to kya??? Suna nahi… Usne kaha ki hume ab Special Squad jaana chahiye….

Shotgun: (Irritated) Mujhe bhi pata hai! Lekin usne mujhe Shotgun kehke pukaara…. Ab ye… 😕

Ajay: (Putting a hand around his shoulders and looking skywards) Ab Shotgun… Tumhara kya jaata hai? Shotgun nahi bulata hai to bhi complaint karte ho, bulaata hai to bhi complaint karte ho… Ab vo tumhe kaise bulaye??? Ab tu hi bata…… 😆

Before Shotgun could respond, Ajay's cell buzzed….

He picked up the call… It was Boxer…. He immediately went away from Shotgun escaping his stare!!!!!! 😡

Ajay: Haan bhai….

Two ward boys entered the morgue and started shifting the body to the stretcher…. Shotgun was supervising…. Ajay talking over the phone came out of the morgue…..

Ajay: Abhi nikal hi rahe the! Vo kya hai madam make up ke bina bahar nahi aana chahti thi!!! To we had to make her presentable… Aakhir special squad office jo aa raheen hain…. Tip top hona chaiye naa……….. 🤣

Everyone occupied their usual places…. But there was only one change which our team never approved…… 😈

Vishal was now seated at the head of the table… During their third case last month, Dipika had suggested this… After all he was the one doing the investigations and had all the facts… So it would be better if he occupied the head so that he could explain the facts to the others…. The rest of our team never liked it… 😵

It reminded them so much of those times, when Dipika was promoted and Aryan demoted, she had taken the head of the table… But with months rolling by Aryan had taken up the head….. For the same reason, he was the one handling cases….. 👏

It was ok if Dipika was there, but Vishal of all!!!!!!!! 🤢 With him taunting Aryan!!!!!!! 😡 They never could get the fact why he was doing so!!!!!!!! 🤔

The whole of our team had tried their best to find out how Vishal and Aryan could be linked… But no… 😕 Vishal was one year elder than Aryan, his profiles said so… Vishal had cleverly covered his past tracks because of his special assignment cases, where he had to safeguard his past… So only the higher officials in the field knew his real identity…. Our team was frustrated not being able to figure him out!!!!!!!! They chided themselves for being Special Squad officers!!!!! 😡

Vishal was explaining……

Vishal: (Sitting with his hands entwined on the table, he leant forward) case bahut simple lag raha hai…. Clear case of poisoning… Lekin autopsy abhi baaki hai!

He looked at Dipika seated in the chair right of his….

Dipika: (Nodding) Hmm… Dr. Madhav ne release papers de di hai… Waiting for the body… Jab aa jayegi, autopsy ho jayegi… Will not take much time….

Vishal: (Nodding, looked back at the others) Fine! Case ye hai…. The facts are very simple! Kal raat teen log khaane ke liye baithte hain, jisme sab jeezon me frozen tinned meat bhi hai. Which was later accounted for the food poisoning… Raat ko teen logon ki tabiyat bigadthi hai aur hospital me admit kar diye jaate hain… Usme do log recover ho jaate hain, lekin ek aurat mar jaati hai. 🤢 Death time estimated today morning!

He leant back studying the faces of the team…. The case was way too simple he felt!

Neha: Very surprising! Food poisoning ka case kaha gaya naa? ❓

Boxer: Haan… Lekin aaj subah death certificate banate samay doctor ne notice kiya ki Mrs. Jones ki aankein dilated thi! She was poisoned….

Shotgun: Haan… And she was bluing slightly!

Dipika: Strange! When all three were taken ill, only one died! That too out of arsenic!

Vishal: Haan… Lekin poison arsenic hai ise autopsy se hi pata chalega… We always have to get the facts right, before we begin anything!

Dipika and the others looked at Vishal mildly surprised….

Dipika was getting surprises as days passed with Vishal… He always sticked to facts… He wanted them right before he began investigations… Even if it meant the case investigation getting delayed by two days….. He had said that incomplete information sometimes become death taker!!!! How right he was!!!!!

But our other team's reaction was different! 😕 They wondered why he had to be so goody goody always… He reminded them Dipika's ways! But the thing was even the team didn't know why they didn't like him… As noticed he wasn't thattttt bad, after all! 🤔

Vishal: (Was continuing, looking around the table) Isiko hume investigate karna hai. How was the arsenic administered, if it is arsenic and who did it?

Dipika: (Confused 😳 ) Lekin Vishal case ke details sirf itne?

Vishal: (Looking at Dipika) No Dipika… Case ke details abhi collect karne hain. So we are leaving to the possible scene of crime, Mr and Mrs Jones house….

Now our team does not alwaaaaaaays fail to notice things! 😉 So they noticed that Vishal called Dipika as 'Dipika' and not 'Dipika ji'… 😲 They all gave each other a glance of misbelieve and wondered why Dipika hadn't restricted him, which meant she had permitted him to call her so… Clearly it seemed when Vishal had put down the restriction she had too!!!! 😒

Just as he finished the details, a staff approached the table…..

Staff: (To Dipika) Madam…. Bhagwati Hospital se ambulance aa gaya hai.

Dipika: (Nodded at him and turned back to the table) Main autopsy shuru kar deti hoon…

Vishal: (Getting up ) And we are leaving to the Jones house….

He said and left the office…. Ajay, Boxer, Shotgun and Zubin left with him…..

Dipika stood up from the table and looked at the leaving team… She started off to the autopsy room… Neha also left to her place…….. 😊

Neha entered Dipika's cabin with a file in her hand. She came nearly to extend the file when she saw Dipika was not in her seat. She just wondered a second where she was, when it striked her that she was still in the auptosy…

She hit herself on her head for being so absent minded.

Smiling she kept the file on Dipika's table and turned to go back outside. Her glance rounded fell on Aryan's table… She could just imagine him standing there smiling having coffee… 😳

She sighed… It had being a over a month now… Many festivals were on its way…

Every year they had celebrated them together… Even though Aryan would insist on not joining them, they all insisted on their part to make him join them... They knew he would be brooding about his family more on these occasions and they didn't want to enjoy without him…. But this year??? It was totally different… Everything was topsy turvy…. 😭

She again sighed and extended her hand to open the cabin door when she heard a ring…

Sheout down ehr hand frowning and turned to look at Dipika's table… The ring was like from Dipika's cell… She searched Dipika's table… It was ordered but a lot of files were stacked there for her approval… So she carefully extracted Dipika's cell from under the file stack…

Just as she was thinking whether she should attend the call, the cell stopped buzzing… She blew out her breath and put back the cell on top of the file stack…

Just as she turned again to go back to her place, the cell started buzzing… Neha stopped again and looked at the cell… She was well aware that cell phones were private, but what if it was an important call or anything? So she decided to attend the call and picked the phone…

She looked at the flashing number….. No number was flashing but a name or rather two letters were flashing on the display "RD"… Confused as to what "RD" meant she attended the call…. 🤔

Neha: He….

Neha: (Shocked) Kya?? 😲

Neha: (Confused in turn) Vo… Aapko koun chahiye????

Neha felt it was a wrong number…. But still that "RD"?!?!?! 😒

Neha slowly placed the phone over her ear staring ahead like she had seen a ghost or something…. 😲

Just as she was wondering what and how to answer over the phone, the cabin door opened and Dipika entered the cabin….

On seeing Neha, Dipika smiled…. 😊

But one looke at Neha's face said something was wrong! 😕 Her expression changed into one of concerns…… Something wasn't just right! 🤢

Dipika: (Worried) Kya hua Neha???

Seeing Neha having her phone she asked……

Dipika: (Clutching her left arm, she shook her gently) Kiska phone hai Neha??? 🤓 Kaheen Aryan?!?!?!?! 🥺

Neha came out of her reverie and extended the phone to Dipika…. 😳

Dipika put the phone over her ear like handling a bomb or something, looking at Neha worried….

Dipika: (With a hesistant speech 😕 ) He.. llo!

Dipika jerked her head straight! Whatever it was, whose ever it was, she had not expected this…. She looked at Neha…. And she saw the expression she had known Neha would sport when she ever came to know about this…. 😒

Neha was looking at Dipika with her eyes contracted with an unhappy expression on her face… Or was it an expression of upset 😕 or angry…. 😡 Her stare was more like accusing Dipika! Unbelievably!

Dipika started to talk to her, but Neha shook her head and left the cabin… 😒

Dipika saw her leave and closed her eyes for a second…. 😵 Then breathing out she started to speak over the phone….

Involuntarily a smile curved her lips upwards…. 😳

Dipika: (With a great enthusiasm in her voice) Hello… Haan main hoon….

Dipika: (Laughing) Theek hai baba…. Theek kaha... Maine kaha naa…. 😆

Dipika: Ok... Ok… Kaan pakadti hoon theek hai..... (Catching her ear with her free hand) Ab phone rakhoon?

Dipika: Kyun?!?! Kya kyun?!?!? (Her voice becoming cajoling 😳 ) Kaam nahi karna hai kya?

Dipika: Bye!!!!!!

Dipika put down the phone… She was still smiling thinking about her phone conversation……

She forgets all her worries and tensions when this call comes… 😳 She thanked God for the best thing of her life…… 😍

But…..

Then she remembered what had happened half an hour ago… So she decided to handle it then and there….

But just as she got up from her seat, Vishal entered the cabin…..

Dipika: (Sitting back again) Kya hua??? ❓

Vishal came inside and stood in front of her table…… He indicated behind her back….

Dipika tilted her chair sideways to look who it was…. She saw a small girl about 17 years of age sitting there, nervously twiddling her hand kerchief…

Dipika looked back at Vishal eyebrows raised…. 🤓

Vishal: (Walking around the cabin) Mr aur unki companion to abhi hospital main hain… Not ill, lekin doctor unhe under observation rakhna chahte hain… Aaj shaam ko discharge karva rahein hain… Ye (Indicating the interrogation room) Mr and Mrs Jones ki house keeper ki beti hai… Unke ghar me apne maa ke saath kaam karti hai… Us din jab ye haatsa hua tha, tab ye hi ghar me thi... Iski maa ki tabiyat theek na hone ke karan kaam pe nahi aayi… 🤔

Dipika: (Getting up) To ise pata hona chahiye ki kya hua tha??? ❓

Vishal: (Nodding) Hmm… And she has an interesting story to tell too…

Dipika looked at Vishal frowning…. 😕 Vishal approved nodding, what he said and apread his ahdn towards the cabin door, indicating she was to leave first…. 😳

Dipika nodded smiling and left the cabin with Vishal following…..😊
