For me the scene of the day, was Rama's letter to kekeyi, and her instant meltdown.
A letter simple, but respectful, straight from the heart, Rama does not mince words, he shows her his desire to marry Sita, but in a way that melt kekeyis heart!

And she, because she loves him so, gives in graciously, though she shows her full Nakhra kekeyi style.

Sita being Bhumija, could sense that there was an evil force, that was tampering with prakriti, and Rama, who understands her connection with nature, values her instincts

Urmila is definitely head over heals in love with lakshman - dil mein chor, otherwise there was no need to lie to Sita!

I did not like that jal pralay thing, thought the sfx are good, mr nag I dislike.

Baki sab aisi hi episode, too much footage given to mr nag!

Nice post just like the episode.
The scene were Ram respects and trusts Sita's instincts depicts a beautiful relationship of husband and wife.

Loved that scene.

And the way he comes in front to protect her.

The whole scene was flawless.

During this whole thing their chupke chupke sharmane wale eyelocks...was a treat to watch.

A small Laksman and Urmila scene was cute.

And I completely agree with you the best scene was the Ram's letter to Kaikeyi...so simple yet heart touching enough to melt Kaikeyi's heart.

Well said dear minus snake I liked everything esp d heart rending letter to kaikeyi. the letter can melt anyone's heart. The letter shows how much Ram loves Kaikeyi nd wishes 2 marry Sita. And coming 2 Lakshmila both r head over heals in lve with each other nd isnt showing nd her lie nd lakshman's smile proves that nd 2morrow's snake scene will take their love story forward . All in all a good epi lakshmila scene was like d cherry on an icing cake.

Mr. Nag 😆
Guess, its a completely made up story...Also, don't understand why Ravan has to come into picture so early , with this revenge story 🤔

Now may be Lakshman saves Urmila from Mr.Nag and so the foundation for their love story is laid 🤓

Liked Kaikeyi today., she is a confused soul ...do not mind if she oscillates between her emotions of profound love for Ram, and her inner desires towards Bharath. Just that the story should not take the direction of saas bahu saga, with the entry of Sita to Ayodhya.

Curious though, as to how she would approve Mandavi for Bharath...

Ramji is very diplomatic...😉 wonder how he said Sita is a chavi of Kaikeyi 😛😆

@ Arshics ram hit a googly. Kaikeyi clean bowled. How can she say no to the girl her son claims to be her mirror image😆. And that dialogue between ram siya had so much romantic meanings ram was talking about the change in their life, while indirectly she was telling it is not time yet. In mithila everything happens on time. Indirect taunts for following her breaking rules. Hats off to dialogue writers for such a meaningful scene which had both the task at hand as well their secret message

@Arshics: Ur post is the reflection of my mind. I completely agree.
Ram proved to be the correct sil for Janak to pass on the msg with right content. Once again well done writers and actors 👏
I dont have issues with special effects as long as it goes with the story line but this nagraj is irritating. I liked the name Mr.Nag😆

possst on the dot again Arshi!
Somehow Ram's letter reminded me of krishna's shenanigans today {'kisi ko bhi apne vash mein karna 'quality}.His letter struck the right chord with kaikeyi because of genuine feelings they had for each other. A wonderful connect between a mother and her son. Ram and Sita 's scenes mesmerized us with their subtle messages. Loved them. Urmila again manages to ruffle lakshman{brings Tom and Jerry to my mind}😆 .
Your name for that Snake fits{hence the tribute to your 'Mr.Nag' in the 1st line}.Forwarded his prolonged image on screen. Not interested in asuras and reptilians at this stage...
I am waiting for Sita's answer tomm. to Rama's question{ a little suprising as I thought he could read her eyes!}

Sorry dear friends, I was busy at work the whole day so couldn't reply to your posts
So there are 2 basic questions that need to be addressed in last nights episode

1. Was the Mr Nag Nautanki a part of the original or a new addition - I think it's the latter, I couldn't find any references anywhere. Probably the SFX team wanted to earn their wages and so were given the chances to show their skills

2. Why did Rama call Sita a parchayi of kekeyi? - was he just saying the right thing to win kekeyis approval or did he really mean it? Knowing Rama, he wouldn't say it if he didn't mean it, so probably he really sees kekeyi like qualities in Sita!

If we go to the mool, kekeyi was an exemplary woman and also loved Rama a lot. She was brave, beautiful and devoted. So this Sita does have a lot in common with that kekeyi

Actually the writers have not portrayed kekeyi as all these! Her anger is with Dashraths betrayal, and inspite of that she does not love Rama any less. She is very concerned that his wife be worthy of him, she is the only one who asks the questions that any mother would when she hears of a proposal for her son.

She is the one who reads his letter, sees his desire to marry Sita and changes her stand!

I think, the writers always wanted to portray kekeyi as the strong but fair queen, but Grusha Kapoor has probably not been able to portray the layered emotional depth of kekeyi. She has played kekeyi as a very flat one dimensional character.

She has shown the angry side pretty well, but not the inner soft core, though the writers have given her good dialogues, but we have not seen the heart of kekeyi really as clearly.

I think Rama did mean it, and kekeyi is supposed to be a very strong and loving mother, whose judgement is clouded by Dashratha's change of heart, but Rama, who sees the inner core, knows her to be good and strong.

Arshi

I know I know. I didnt mean Kaikeyi is any less. First of all why the comparison? Why with Kaikeyi. I was questioning CV's thought process.

I was questioning the word 'chabi'. The kaikeyi written in RCM and VR is much better than this one anyways. She was loving and possessive. Not like this one. Scheming and worried all the time.
