I had already mentioned in tuna's post that women were revered very much in tetra yug and Ram had hesitated to kill Tadaka.
I am happy that SKR showed this dwidha in the mind of Ram and a meaningful discussion between Ram and Vishwamitra.
There are actually 2 parts of that discussion. One is of course is it right to kill a woman, second before doing an action, convincing oneself why the action was necessary.

So I will take the first part. Is it right to kill a woman. Yes if the woman is like Tadaka. One who believes in destroying things, one who have no mercy, finds pleasure in killing in innocent people such a woman is as bad to a society, just like a similar man. She should be shown no mercy for just being a woman. If we come to today's world we can see woman like Tadaka's , just like we see men like Mahishasur. The so called power hungry women are the modern versions of Tadaka. For their power structure they doesnt hesitate to use their family. Classic example is the saas of the our daily soaps, who does unspeakable rubbish to their bahus and expect them to be Sita's, whereas actually the concerned sons have to deal with them the way Ram deals with Tadaka. Irrespective of being mother she should be shown her place if she behaves like Tadaka. Because such a woman only wants control on her son and family, not the welfare of the family. Most times we see these woman like Tadaka's escape either with wife card or maa card. Not only in daily soaps, we see it real life also. It is time good men dealt with them a different way. It is not just Mahisasurs we have in our society we have Tadakas also.

Now coming to second part. Convincing oneself before any action. This is very important in today's life. If we see Ram has given vachan that he will obey Vishwamitra's order. Irrespective of that he politely raises the dwidha in his mind and Vishwamitra answers him. Just because elders told, guru told, manager told we should not be doing any action that is not inline with our conscience. We have the right to question them in a respectable manner. A real knowledgeable person doesnt fear that question. But it is the person who wants controls and runs things using fear psyhcosis who doesnt like the question. And if it is not coming properly then be sure that, behind that action there is some selfish ulterior motive. And he or she is trying to put you in front in case something goes wrong. If a question is not answered then you are going to be a scapegoat. Beware and be alert of such people and never react to them. Learn to act in a way, so that they react and not you. For that you need control on senses and your emotions.

yes shruti and when i saw that part the first thing that came on my mind was what in said in my post...
and i even liked that line when rishi vishwamitra said "that he will kill but not do any vinash" when he made it rain with an arrow just to stop the fire( sorry don't remember the exact lines)...

yes we should always question before agreeing to anybody if question arises in mind... what I feel is that our heart and mind is a teacher in itself so if a question arises its never futile as we learn something valuable every time we question... God resides in everybody, its upto us whether we follow him or not..

Nice Shruti. Like you said, the questioning should be done in such a way that the Guru is not belittled or angered. At the same time the Guru should be a person of such calibre that there is no ego which says 'how dare he question my authority' and the Guru understands the shishya's duvidha and is able to show the right path.

As a shishya if your mind is not clear of the thing that is bothering you, your action will be half hearted and may not achieve the desired result. But once the heart is clear you will no longer carry the burden or samskara of the action because it was done with obedience to the Guru and a clear conscience.

Lovely post, Shruthi. I loved today's episode. Ram was in his element today...whether it was looking for Sita and being disappointed or clearing his doubts with Vishwamitra or destroying the asuras or trying to give Tadaka a chance at redemption.

When Maharishi Vishwamitra said " Mujhe tumpe garv hain Ram"...i felt the exact same thing.😃

Very beautiful post

I just love the way you connect the various incidents in the show with the present situations...
Makes me relate to the episode in a better way...

Be it man or woman, any human being showing devilish behaviour should be punished...
In today's time if woman want equal opportunities like men then there should be equality in punishment too...
I liked Ram questioning Vishwamitra..
It's not that he didn't have faith in his guru, it's just that if u have anything which pricks your inner self u should clear it... And with this ur faith strengthens even more...
