Exactly.... Because for all her mental instabilities and worries, Ruhaan will be her support system. I don't understand, just because veer is good or anyone for that matter, does it mean a girl has to marry him???? Veer may be the best husband but not for Mishti. Sometimes, we may not end up taking all good things in the world. For example, we all know we shouldn't hurt our parents and obey them, but are we doing it perfectly? No, knowingly or unknowingly we do hurt them a lot. Does it make us bad? May be not. Because sometimes, we do have a point and may be our parents don't agree to it. Just like that, Mishti knows breaking her commitment is not right, but still when staying in a loveless marriage and ending up hurting everyone in the future, if she takes a present decision to break her commitment, is it wrong?As you yourself has clearly said, she's haunted by past baggages, she needs someone who accepts her for what she is and not for what she wants to be. As your assumption is with minus ruhaan ,I will tell something minus veer. I find mishty, ruhaan, veer, Mauli, Kunal , Ishaan ...very real and relatable...they are normal people that we would find in our everyday world..there are lots of young women in mishtys position ..who are confused about their choice of marriage partner...that’s why the rate of divorce is so high in the first five years of marriage...anyway gladly in mishtys case she will sort out her feelings before marriage and marry the right man ,..I’m sure the writers are going this route....because they’ve already shown us divorce in season 1...and I’ve tried watching some other shows on tv...most of the shows are so ott drama, with characters that are so unrealistic..So I rather watch silsila any day rather than those other shows which are actually a torture watching...
