this is my first post in this forum.. never got enough time to discuss but have been following the forum for few days.. but this post definitely deserves a reply..
i have a list of problems with the execution of this show. and i find both nandini and kunal delusional..
1) kunal's character - a person who was so understanding, so much caring, cooperative and LOVED mauli like anything.. there was care, love ( i still remember the look in his eyes when he got her name tatooed), he was funny, cute, always seeking her attention . he was a GENTLEMAN .. how did they change him? and that too so drastically!! he is not thinking about HIS JAANA. HIS MAULI.. damn it..!! does falling in love with nandini is equal to not giving a damn about mauli's love and their marriage? it makes him a bad human being in my eyes. his FALLING OUT OF LOVE with mauli is equally questionable as his falling in love with nandini.. like how did he fall out of love??? i always thought the right sequence is falling out of love with the first one and then falling in love with the other one.. his tendency of falling out and in love is so EASY and FAST.. with this speed and ease he can easily hit a half century in his entire lifetime..
2) kunal falling for nandini. - this is not love according to me.. he is mere attracted.. no matter how hard they tried to show that the process is gradual but no. its not.. and moreover the base of this relation is weak.. its SYMPATHY, ATTRACTION and GETTING CARRIED AWAY.. .. and its ALL RANDOM.. if i try to make myself understand going by creative teams logic that kunal fell for her innocence and ablapan and becharagi, it makes me cringe even more..
kunal thought "aahhh! she is a woman who need a shoulder to cry and i am her sahara.." what a great feeling. what contentment.. when we help people and they show signs of gratitude and are indebted ;what incredible feeling we human get.. probably he felt like a "man" for the first time; felt like a saviour ,a hero.. with mauli it was all about equality, friendship, love, naughtiness, baby kunal and understanding wife mauli.. their life was perfect no matter how imperfect they were.. their love and understanding for each other was mind blowing and something that can make people jealous.. they have some goals in life and they were emotionally and practically balanced people.. nandini entered and kunal got attracted towards her.. but he named this attraction love... which is a big disappointment.. if this is love then what about the thing he and mauli have/had??
does he even know what is love???
for me love is loving back to people who care about me,love me and who i feel are family.. if we specifically talk about "ishq wala love" then also , i will say if a person who loves me selflessly and i love him the same way , i am all his for next 7 kya 70 births provided he keeps loving me always and is a loyal man.. why would i think about another man if there is so much love in my heart for my man, no matter how handsome the other guy is or how loving he is/can be as a partner.. pyaar koi mobile software hai jo BEST Updated version ka hona zaroori hai.?? aaj jo hai us se kaam chala lo kal us se better aaega to update krna hi hai..
kunal not only loved mauli but is married to her. is there any sense of commitment??? loyalty? is he that bad ? can he break all the commitments with mauli just for this sympathy wala love of his?? when did he become that kunal?? i didnt see any transformation phase.. a loyal and shareef man would have moved his eyes away seeing another woman dancing in rain.. but kunal toh get hypnotised.. this scene has a huge importance in this show.. it is mere attraction which he confused with his feelings and this mess.. redemption of this kunal is impossible..
3) nandini's character - now coming to nandini.. i feel they both are delusional.. yes nandini also is delusional.. what we saw in her eyes was gratitude for kunal ! not love! it was a longing to have a husband LIKE kunal not kunal.. a longing to live a life LIKE mauli was living, not to snatch away mauli's life.. when she was going to marry rajdeep she was too young, too immature and probably too naive to understand who is a well wisher and who is not.. but after living all these years in hell she didnt learn a single thing from life..
"husbands aise bhi hote hain?" it was her dialogue. that time i felt like oh poor soul she will fall for him in "due" time and what a misery, her husband is a monster and the person who she is going to fall for is someone elses husband.. but no... there is no due time.. its all about now or never. bas abhi pyaar kro. dont deny your juzzbaat , dont tell kunal that she doesnt love him to save her friend's marriage.. be selfish because kunal is encouraging u. like really.. why these two have zero guilt??? how it is even possible??? she didnt trust her bf when she warned her about her fiance. she treated her husband as God. tried to please him after getting abused by him.. kept crying all the time.. i know there are woman in our society who are weak and they have no option other than being a doormat.. this is the reality of our society. but what explanation for ditching mauli?? this girl wants a Khula aasman for herself and had dug a pit for mauli.. how can she face mauli after getting sexually involved with MAULI'S HUSBAND.. ?? and that too with a smile on her face???
she is thanking bappa for bringing happiness in her life and what about her bfs happiness?? she is the most INNOCENT - SELF CENTRED female LEAD in the history of indian television
4) nandini's dress style - i know she loves to dress in sarees and bade bade jhumke (as per maulis description about her) . its good to dress up and getting dolled up.. almost every girl loves to.. but here creatives have shown her extremely shy and homely..i love her dresses but the dresses dont suit her character. i agree indian shows always show dolled up female leads but then she is not a regular female lead.. she is often abused , that time they could have shown her giving up all the heavy makeup and those trendy sarees. that time a person's self esteem and confidence so low and u show her wearing trendy clothes and look at the confidence she has in her body language.. huge mistake.!! . it would have been so better if they have shown her gaining her confidence back slowly and again wearing clothes which she likes to wear, getting dolled up for herself..
5) white washing their deeds.. almost everyone is complaining about this.. taking cinematic liberty and enchanting holy mantras which are meant only for pious ocassions for their make out?? cringeworthy.. using God's isharas and babas predictions for proving their relation is ridiculous. if music can justify deeds then it can justify a devastated mauli killing both of them with a mata ka trishul with a bg of "jai maaa kali"
6) lack of conversation between the so called pious love birds.. -
what is the future of their relationship?? will they continue sleeping with each other like this? what about mauli?? do they want to tell her or not? if yes, then when will they end this hide and seek love story..? a detailed conversation is the first thing that should be done after they confessed their feelings..
actually in EMAs, people WHO HAVE GUILT talk about their expectations from each other, their families, the future of their relationship but here what we see is the longing to be with each other, to see each other, to text each other, nain mataka and chori chori wala pyaar.. as if there is no mauli.. as if they are teens hiding their love from world.. they have no responsibilities , no guilt , nobody else to think about other than theirselves..
7) confession- i guess kunal can not tell mauli directly that he is not in love with her anymore and loves her best frnd nandini.. catching them red handed is the best thing makers can show. imagine how would he tell her ? " jaana though i have engraved your name on my ring finger that too very recently but nandini lives in my heart." "although i was very much in love with you few days back but certain recent series of events made me fall for nandini.." and mauli be like "hahaha. chal jhute"
kunal " no i am serious.. her innocence, her kheer, her food, her rain dance and her dreams and her docile nature all these things have made me fall for her" and mauli be like " hahaha.! pls stop kunal.. my stomach is hurting. these are not even excuses let alone good enough reasons"
8) selling the show in the name of progressiveness , different and bold concept.. DOES AN EMA DEFINE PROGRESSIVENESS? lol.. this requires a different post
9) sidelining their jobs; carrer - this is a major disappointment. almost in every show they do this thing.. show starts with major carrer goals, wrking women and progressive approach and then all this takes a back seat.. only #ypntkh has not disappointent me in this matter.
if i summarize ,Kunals character has changed a lot with a speed of light.. which is not digestable. and nandini's SELF CENTERED nature and INNOCENCE dont go together.. make her either innocent or self centered.. but backstabbing a friend who has crossed all limits to save you, gave you shelter, encourage u, fight for u, financially, emotionally, mentally strengthen u is so SAD.. now she can not be termed as innocent. she is plain SELF CENTRED AND INDIFFERENT towards mauli and others.. and makers should show her like that only..
ps : if i have these many problems then why do i am watching the show?? i really want to see how can creatives justify this relationship?? JUSTIFICATION is all i want.. tell me it is WRONG, tell me they were at fault, tell me it was not love mere attraction , tell me all the bg music was playing in their heads and may be i am sorted.. but if it is LOVE then prove it , by not enchanting holy mantras and seeking help from God but give me a logical explanation which a sane person with a right mind can understand. and i am curious to know how mauli will handle all this? will cvs again make her an understanding and supportive person and she will give a green flag to their relationship??? or they will recycle cliche surrogacy track, infertility track, try to make nandani leave the city after getting caught to make her more innocent?? and kunal to leave mauli and living separately like the movie kabhi alvida na kehna.. if it is that new and fresh show then they should not follow that route.. lets see what they have for us.. sry for typos .
