The thread is about Kunal's requirements, I think it's makers fault that they highlighted cooking, dressing sense and submissive nature to show difference between two women
Everyone here is discussing what they are watching on the show, it's not in the air -
Cooking - First thing kunal asked Nandini to do for him after the proposal is make Kheer, is it wrong to make Kheer? No, but they are presenting that Kunal wants a wife who's an excellent cook
Saree - Nandini wears Sarees and for Mauli Saree is a hindrance in her job, which is fair because it's their life and they can do all they want but they show that Nandini a traditional woman will always wear Sarees, she was ashamed when people saw her wearing a dress and it was a pretty nice dress, I don't see why would anyone feel ashamed of wearing it, then I realized it's just her character who's your typical Indian woman, and they have shown Mauli as someone who doesn't like wearing Sarees, so I think it was just a way of makers to show that how different these women are, I am not trying to degrade anyone but India is not like that anymore, we love Sarees but it's not like we don't wear anything else, it's maker's fault that they have taken clothes as tools for differentiation.
Decked up 24/7 - Again one more pathetic way to show difference between two women and that scene where Nandini asked Mauli to wear bangles because a married woman should not leave her arms empty, did you see how Kunal asked Nandini to wear red for him and look at herself in the mirror because apparently looking at beauty of women make people happy and his wife isn't making him happy because she isn't beautiful?
Submissive nature - Do you realize that kunal and Nandini have absolutely no story apart from Kunal saving her from one thing or another? It's always about Kunal saved Nandini till she fell in love with him.
s**t shaming is wrong, no doubt but makers have handled this matter in such a pathetic way, women can be different in so many things but what they chose to make an impact are their clothes, so the show is not about two women, it's about one woman getting preference or let's say a man (who's superior to us) choosing one woman over other and what are the differences between these women? Nothing emotional, nothing intellectual, it's all about their clothes and their beauty and its totally maker's fault that people are discussing what they are being served
