Shrimad Ramayan daily episode discussion thread (24/1/25)

Daily Episode Discussion Threads will be created and maintained by the DT every day. The previous EDT's will be locked, but you can access these threads by clicking the "episode discussion" tag below the title of the thread.

Please keep discussions limited to the episodes of that day as far as possible. Some references to previous episodes can be allowed for the sake of viable discussions.

A few tips to keep in mind while commenting on this thread

• Please use this thread ONLY to discuss the episodes, keeping chatting to the minimum. Refrain from bringing in off-topic, BTS (unless it is related to the show/episode), actor's SM posts, fans' SM posts or an actor's projects outside of this show. Such posts if found will be trashed and members can receive a warning. All such updates can either be shared in the Social Media thread or the character/actor’s AT.

• Please do not post entire episode links cause this will be considered as copyright infringement.

• Please do not quote large posts/ posts with links/images/videos as these unnecessarily make the page heavy and difficult to load. You can edit the quote to the portion you are responding to or simply tag the member to respond to their post.

• Please refrain from using harsh, rude, or offensive language or hurting the sentiments of fellow members or any specific groups.

• Please do not bash or name-call/label any actor or character. Fun names or nicknames for characters are not allowed. Please refer to the characters with respect since these are mythological characters that have religious significance and are revered by many.

I also thankfully watched none of the dramas by Swastik barring Suryaputra karna (which was a huge torture) and SR which is a torture in UK.Thankfully I didn't watch suryaputra karna while it was airing.I only saw in youtube after many years.The reason why I started watching it in bits and clips was ,during its airing time ,I watched the scene when karna inquired about his parentage to his foster parents.In the show it's shown that he had no clue about his parentage.The scene struck me ,because the male lead acting was good ,the casting was good ,even though he over acted in some places.And of course ,the music and bgm were of steller quality,which is a signature move in this PH.Basant played two roles - young karna and the adult Karna's scene I will post the episode.It has millions of views.

In my opinion Basant doesn't have a mainstream TV hero personality.So he is more likely to be a sidekick or a younger or older brother who boosts the main lead presence.

Yes,

Sujay did modulate his voice to a deeper tone to match the age of the character.It is a sign of his good acting skills.He actually has a boyish voice in real life .It suited him quite well before the wedding scene and during the course of the vanvaas .He gradually deepened it so a lot of people missed it.

I think the responsibility of majority of the chemistry between the couple was due to Mr.Reu's screen presence.The way he recited his dialogues in her presence boosted her role also.She did match him in the pre- Sita parityaag to a limited extent .

It was always him who took the limelight.Interestingly ,the on screen interactions were NEVER physical apart from a few distant hugs and holding hands yet it had an impact.

gaurav rode is a good actor. i felt he was better than the one in MB (2013) even though the one in 2013 received appraisal for his role. basant is a good actor but like you said, better off in supporting role. tabhi he's stil remembered as dau bhaiya. if he got the role of krishna, most likely suitable to play young krishna.

Star MB one is Ahem Sharma, he did good with whatever he was given, there they made Karn a crybaby
