What would you have wanted in the fest track? - Page 2

My only contribution here would be reading the posts. I am not conversant with the Fest notion as here we do not have such activities. we have research week where research students present their work in progress, and students week where students are mainly having a good time, and as academics we are not really involved here.

I like the suggestions put forward by all.

I dnt really know if at all faculties are involved in fest activities...they are present in the opening ceremony nd sumtimes come by invitation of students, conduct quizzes or seminars, nd one of our prof used to sing...bt not lyk overseeing activities

i thought fest is a totally student affair

Library scene kise nhi chahiye tha☺️ sumthng lyk dey dnt realize themselves what dey r heading towards nd sumbody comes nd dey suddenly get conscious nd den keep wondering wtf actually happened☺️

Here we have research weeks too along with fests. Basically you have students from across the country/city/state (depending on the size of the college and the event) come in and compete in various activities. These activities can be cultural or academic. Fests usually have both.

The faculty are rarely involved and its mostly student driven. We had one faculty member to sign off on bills and budgets and as point of escalation but the rest was driven by students. It's like a festival in college. Students all around, music and poetry one side, paper presentations on other. Cultural competitions in auditoriums. Students decorating the entire college. It's nice. Now I am nostalgic. 🥲

Enjoyed reading all the responses. I think many covered it all.👏👏 A few more points to add.

1. So I would restart from after Holi. We wouldn’t have gotten the banner drop-catch and the asking for a dinner date that early. I love that scene, so perhaps it would’ve happened at the end of the fest when the banner was coming off 😄

2. Shakhi are still struggling to come to terms with their emotions for each other.And their realization getting stronger with each passing day.
3. Fest is a week long with participants / guest lecturers from other colleges. We get atleast 3 weeks of episodes focused on this. Fun, light-hearted college scenes. We barely got to see them engage with others and have funny scenes as a group. Shaurya guiding and helping Anokhi with the planning and prep work. Them brainstorming together on some event.

4. Team games and activities.More opportunities for Anokhi to display her leadership skills and talents. A great opportunity to also have a parallel to the Kapurthala prize distribution.

5. Some more balanced Shauhir tashan. 😍 I would’ve loved for Ahir to be there as Anokhi’s cheerleader.

6. Aastha/ Shaan /Shaurya/Anokhi scenes. Remember she was supposed to come to the fest?!

I soo wanted Aastha to move to Chandigarh with her parents and work at a local college there. We would’ve gotten more Shaan -Aastha-Shaurya scenes.

7. A mildly jealous Shaurya and Anokhi when they see each other interacting with attendees from other colleges.

8. Lots of Shakhi moments. From Classroom awkwardness , to canteen/Library, to handling fest activities. Gimme all!! Anokhi in Saree! 😍 we’ve had sooo many KPs on this!

9. Bemol track progression during the fest. Do they get caught?! 🤷‍♀️ Anokhi helping Betty. I’ve hoped for Betty to evolve into mature individuals, to have a slow change of heart towards Anokhi, yet they were still a caricature of the typically villainous step-sisters.

10. We cannot not talk about the elephant in the room-Shagun! Again, it would’ve been an opportunity for the writers to add more dimension and redeem her character a little.

I don't want them to accept their feelings for eachother easily....because they both have their own insecurities....different ideologies
