I totally agree. But the show did a good job showing us how arrested his development was. He's a small 4 year old boy stuck in a big 29 year old man's body. He's still trying to gain his mother's love and his father's attention. I can see that having his mother's love and father's attention go to Anokhi makes him react in irrational ways!

Not denying the ragging, but thinking she's trying to capitalize on it with a molestation charge. All of Anokhi's credibility goes out the window when Aastha is connected to her. Shaurya can't see or think straight about Anokhi's predicament because he's convinced that his mother is taking advantage of the situation to tarnish SIAC. So it's not about what he can prove right but who he can prove wrong. I like all these layers to Shaurya, especially knowing his character arc.

But it is maddening. It also feels like he does believe her but his mother's hate is far more important than his peace.

The press got their story from Anokhi and the Sabherwals!

Anokhi admits to being ragged and molested. But of course the first questions is "why didn't you stop him?" As she explained it more in detail, all the media wanted were names and corroboration. Anokhi kept her promise to Shaan by not divulging the names. I'm glad Reema and Maya were there to show support. And props for Reema for admitting that ragging occurs at SIAC and school authorities have silenced people. That bursts Shaurya's bubble that ragging does not occur at his precious institution!

For a student her age I think she was fantastic in dealing with the press. It's really hard to come out with molestation and that too talk to the press about it. Sometimes I feel her innocence is what makes her brave.

The Sabherwals tried to do damage control in front of the media by trying to spin the story. Alok tried to chalk it up to misunderstanding. Shaurya tried to be arrogant. Shaan is the only one who sounded credible and admitted that ragging occurred and Anokhi was locked in a classroom. He went so far as to admit that SIAC didn't properly investigate. Tej shut down conversation and protected the college.

Doesn't wash Shaan's sins away but atleast he is trying. Makes me think why is shaan so different than the rest of them? Also, now you can see who Aastha fell in love with. This righteous Shaan.

Sabherwals Assemble! Tej was pissed that his minimal approach of warning students wasn't appreciated by Anokhi. How like a man to think that doing your job is applause worthy! Alok was in crisis control and only about demeaning Anokhi and Aastha. Shaan and Shaurya face off was overdue. Shaurya has been dismissive of Anokhi, as if he didn't first hand witness her condition. I loved that Shaan called him out "Kya saboot chahiye" They know Anokhi was ragged; Reema gave testimony. No girl alleges molestation for fun because that's a serious matter to associate your name with in society. Shaurya might believe Anokhi sensationalized things or that she's a liar, but as Shaan asks, "what have you done to prove her a liar?" "Have you talked to a peon? security? checked the cctv?". The Sabherwals didn't take the crime seriously until they were forced to by the press. And not because they care about the victim, but because it affects SIAC reputation.

For a bunch of arrogant people they sure are dumb! And I am too pissed at Shaurya's stand to say anything about him! But Shaan...🔥🔥🔥 . His words were sensible. They should have done this immediately after the incident.

Tej is too big an ego to have his feet on the ground.

Side notes:

~ It's sad how much of a Sabherwal Shaurya is. It made me sad that he dismissed the molestation claim so easily. He witnessed Anokhi's condition and still finds her not credible because his mind is clouded by Aastha hate. wanted to throttle him a little tbh. How? Like seriously? He wanted her to be wrong over student safety?

~ This episode was high level Shaurya swag. From his intense look to his slow motion walk to his own background score. oh! TOTALLY! Loved the way it was shot too!

~ I never realized that Priyanka congratulated Anokhi on being brave. Maybe that's where she found bravery to turn in Alok at the end. YES! She has been here

~ The Bhallas and Bhatias represent overall Indian society. Mrs. Bhatia is concerned about being dragged into a case. Mr Bhalla is worried about reputation in front of others, and laying blame on Anokhi for wanting freedom. Raja thinks that no-one harassed Anokhi in Kapurthala because everyone knew her brother. But why does she need a man's protection to be safe? Why aren't women safe in society?

Because men don't want to admit that they are the problem.

I totally agree!! Anokhi's innocence is what made her journey so precious. I think the viewers fell for that and wanted to protect it. She stayed so idealistic throughout, if not a little combative by the end.

Shaan shined in this episode, but also showed his flawed human side too. I liked that he stayed true to his Sabherwal ways and got mad at Anokhi for ruining SIAC's reputation. But Aastha has a way to make him see reason. I see this in the future with ShaKhi too. Anokhi always explained things to Shaurya and made him see reason.

@bold: Aint that the horrific truth!! I'm glad this topic of women's safety if brought back up during Anokhi's kidnapping. And also in the last episode.
