Shanidev's lot is such that he gets instant payback karma for his actions. Suryadev, Yamdev and Yami get a long rope - their karma catches up with them after a while! So don't expect these 3 to be nice to Shanidev on his return.

If one looks at it as a story - then yes, it is 4 against one. But if one looks at it as an allegory (by the way the mind of an Indian is nurtured and attuned to allegory) then it is the spiritual evolution of Shanidev. As karma phal daata he has to have intimate knowledge of the inner turmoils of choices resulting to actions, and that of actions and consequences.
