Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar as Vijay is an Indian actor, playback singer and producer , who works in the Tamil film industry. Son of film director and producer S.A. Chandrasekhar , he started his career as a child actor and later made his debut as a lead actor in the 1992 film Naalaya Theerpu directed by S.A.Chandrasekhar.

Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar was born on 22 June 1974, to film producer and director S.A. Chandrasekhar who died at the age of two. Vijay went on to do Visual Communication at Loyola College, Chennai.

Vijay married Sangeetha Sornalingam of Sri Lankan Tamil descent on 25 August 1999. They have two children, a son Jason Sanjay born in London, and a daughter Divya Saasha born in 2005 in Chennai

It has been an year since Thuppakki, the Vijay starrer super hit released. Marking this, the director of the fim A.R.Murugadoss has officially announced today that he is again teaming up with Vijay for another movie, which is going to be produced by Ayngaran International. His latest tweet says, 'Am really happy & excited to convey u all tat am joining hands with VIJAY sir once again '

The Music for this film will be composed by Anirudh the young sensation of Kollywood. Details on other technicians are also out. According to sources C.Williams will handle the lens while acclaimed Editor Sreekar Prasad has also been signed up for this untitled film. Sources also say that Samantha has been roped in to pair with Vijay for the first time and Sathish of Ethirneechal fame will play a pivotal role in this films.

The film is expected to go on floors from January 2014 and the makers have already planned to release it within the end of 2014,may be for Diwali 2014.
