Thala Mankatha gets Opening as Endhiran

Thala's Golden Jubilee movie 'Mankatha' has swept all the previous records of blockbusters in Tamil Nadu. Yup! Last year it was Superstar Rajnikanth's 'Endhiran' that saw a never-seen before opening across all the centres. This year, it's Thala's 'Mankatha' making it a clean sweep. The film opened with more prints across all multiplexes and single screens.

The opening was tremendous as Mayajaal was awesome as the film was screened in 14 screens with 70 shows. Apart from these multiplex, Sathyam Cinemas had almost all the screens with these films in both main Sathyam and Escape. The theatres were spangled with more crowds and the entire Tamil Nadu has made occupancy of 92%.

On the other side, the single screens especially in the outskirts of Chennai like Rakki Cinemas and Nathamani theatres started the first show from 5 a.m.

It is expected for the next 4 days, the theatres are sure to be flooded with more crowds. It's a big victory for everyone in the team of 'Mankatha'. Well to be precise, it was expected that the film wouldn't do this much bigger as Ajith Kumar disbanded his fans club before couple of months.
