July 25th, 2011 Written Update

Rajbeer beats up the thugs in the street and they attack him too but he finally beats them and chases them away. The couple thanks Rajbeer, but he tells them he's an air force pilot and it is his duty to protect people. He introduces himself and then takes their leave.

Back at his place Rajbeer is packing as his comrade, Dhruv expresses excitement on them finally being assigned to their own city. He says that they can finally spend time together and enjoy mom's cooking. He asks Rajbeer if he'll go to Chandigarh first to meet his family. Rajbeer says no, he's going to head to Amritsar. Dhruv apologizes because he knows Rajbeer doesn't like to talk to about his family. Dhruv tells Rajbeer that they will stay at his place but Rajbeer says he will stay at the air force quarters in Amritsar.

Dhruv tells him that they're on a break but he's being like an old man and refusing to live his life. He tells him that he's already planned to visit the many places of Amritsar and party. Rajbeer refuses but Dhruv doesn't take no for an answer and challenges Rajbeer to a swimming match with the winner getting to decide.

At home Preeto is looking for something while her mother and father are busy in their morning routines. Gagan asks his daughter what she's looking for and why she is dressed up ready to go, so early in the morning. Preeto says today she has plans to take Meeta jogging. She continues to look in different places. Gagan laughs and Preeto asks him why he's laughing. Gagan says that Meeta must have already made an excuse from last night to not go for jogging. Preeto finds the running shoes that Meeta had hidden. She says she found the shoes, now Meeta cannot make any excuse.

Gagan tells Preeto that finding shoes doesn't mean anything, and Kanwal smiles shaking her head. Preeto says she's made a resolution to take Meeta jogging and she will not stop or be stopped. She says she has answers for every excuse Meeta can think of.

Preeto takes Meeta jogging, and Meeta stumbles and stops Preeto and tells her that she's out of breath and tired. She whines and makes excuse but Preeto isn't buying. Meeta stops Preeto again and tells her that everyone is made unique otherwise the world would be a boring place. Some are fair, some dark, some tall, and some short. Just like some are skinny and some fat like her. Preeto tells Meeta that she found out today that Meeta has a talent for making excuses. She tells Meeta that they have to make four more rounds.

Meeta tries to distract Preeto again by pointing to a big car that drives by. She tells Preeto that her prince charming will come in a big car and whisk her away. Preeto says that when Prince Charming doesn't come in her dreams then why he will come in a car in real life. She tells Meeta that she has only one dream, to make Meeta a size zero like Kareena. She continues to make Meeta jog.

The car is being driven by Dhruv and it stops by a lake and both Dhruv and Rajbeer come out of the car. Dhruv comments on the long drive and Rajbeer says that this place is beautiful. Dhruv says they aren't here for sightseeing and asks him if he remembers the bet between them. Rajbeer says he does and tells Dhruv not to forget that he's never lost a bet. Dhruv says there's a first time for everything and they both go to change for a swim.

Meeta drags Preeto away from the jogging route and sits on a log and tells her that she is tired and she will fall down. Preeto tells Meeta in hundred meters Meeta has made hundred excuses. Meeta tells her that if Preeto forces her then she will jump in the lake and give her life. She says fifty six people have died in the lake already and she will be the fifty seventh. She tells Preeto she won't be able to save her because she doesn't know how to swim. Preeto tells Meeta that swimming in the water will take more effort than jogging and Meeta cancels the plan of jumping in the water.

Meeta looks around then asks Preeto to get water. Preeto says the water place is far from here, and Meeta mutters that she is asking for the same reason. Loudly she tells Preeto that she wants water. Preeto relents but makes Meeta promise to continue jogging with her. Meeta nods but after Preeto leaves she bids her farewell and tells her she's going to go home and have lassi with cream in it, and heads in the opposite direction.

Rajbeer is getting ready and Dhruv cheats and jumps in the water ahead of Rajbeer. Rajbeer calls him out on it and Dhruv tells him all is fair in love and war. Rajveer says he's not one to lose either and is about to jump but Preeto notices him and wonders if he's number fifty seven trying to commit suicide. She calls him number fifty seven and tells him to stop. Rajbeer is confused and thinks she is crazy and tries to jump but Preeto rushes towards him and tells him not to give up his life like that. She runs towards him and before she can stop herself she crashes into him and both fall into the water.

Rajbeer looks around for Preeto but can't find her, then sees her struggling in the water. He swims over to her and helps her out of the water. Dhruv looks and sees Rajbeer with a girl and wonders how ended up with a mermaid when he won the bet. He then realizes the matter is serious and swims back towards Rajbeer's side. Rajbeer checks and sees that Preeto is still breathing. He then pumps her stomach to remove the water. Dhruv comes over and asks if she's still breathing. Rajbeer says she's breathing but not opening her eyes, and he's pumped the water too. Dhruv suggests CPR and Rajbeer reluctantly agrees. He goes close but Preeto regains conscious. Rajbeer smiles, happy till Preeto seeing his face slaps him and pushes him away.

She tells him that she saved him and he's trying to take advantage of her. Rajbeer tells her it is the other way round. Rajbeer asks Preeto if she is mad. Preeto says she isn't mad. Dhruv laughs and Preeto asks him what he's laughing about. Preeto says that Rajbeer is so cheap, and Dhruv agrees and says he came to save her from Rajbeer.

Preeto tells him that he has to come to the police station and drags him there against his wishes. Rajbeer tries to explain to the police but Preeto intervenes and they both argue. The police tells them that this isn't their home and he will take their statements individually. He takes Preeto's first despite Rajbeer's protests. Rajbeer walks to Dhruv and tells her that the girl is mad, but Dhruv comments that she's cute and Rajbeer gives Dhruv a dirty look.

The police inspector commends Preeto for bringing Rajbeer here and then asks her to send him in for his statement. Preeto tells Rajbeer to go in and he sends her a dirty look. Preeto complains about Rajbeer and Dhruv agrees then says that it isn't what she thinks it is. He asks her what she told the police. Preeto tells him he will find out soon enough when Rajbeer gets back. The cop tells Rajbeer to talk to a counselor and tells him to go with Preeto.

They both talk to the counselor and he asks Rajbeer his age. Rajbeer says he's twenty five and when the counselor asks him about committing suicide at an early age, Rajbeer says that Preeto is crazy and tells the counselor he was just going to swim with his friend. The counselor asks what proof he has that he knows how to swim. Rajbeer shows his air force pilot license and tells him he's been trained to swim. He tells the counselor that he's from a agood family, very well settled in his life. As he narrates how well adjusted he is in life, Preeto thinks of the promise she made to find a groom for her sisters. She looks at Rajbeer and sees him as a groom. She thinks he's young for Meeta but he'd be perfect for Ishu.
