On Siddhant's Paper Presentation day.
Everyone was appreciating Siddhant for presenting the paper successfully. After sometime, Naina came near Siddhant.
Naina: Congratulations Sid.
Siddhant: Thanks naina. But this happiness is incomplete without my Roli. I am missing her a lot.
Naina: She will come day after tomorrow Sid. Don't worry. Can you please drop me while you are leaving to home.
Siddhant: Sure naina. But I will leave a bit late. Is it ok for you?
Naina: No Problem Siddhant. I will wait.
After sometime Naina joined with Siddhant and they both left for home in Siddhant car. Siddhant was driving. After sometime he felt tired. He can't able to see anything clearly and he also started coughing. Siddhant pulled over the car and took out his kerchief. He coughed hard by covering his mouth. Naina was tensed.
Naina: Siddhant. What happened? Have this water?
Siddhant felt puckish. He got down from the car and gone to the corner of the street and vomited. Naina too got down to help Sid. Both of them were shocked to see blood vomit.
Naina: Siddhant. What happened? OMG!! Why you are vomiting blood?
Siddhant was not able to stand. He fell unconscious. Naina called others for help and took him to hospital. After few minutes, Siddhant slowly opened his eyes. Saline is running through his nerves.
Siddhant: Naina.
Naina: Sid. Are you ok? You know how much I am scared to see you like that.
Siddhant: I am fine naina.
Doctor came to his room.
Doctor: How are you Mr. Siddhant Bharadwaj.
Siddhant: Fine doctor. But Where is Dr. Shilpa?
Doctor: I know Shilpa is your family doctor. She has gone to US for an emergency. I am her replacement for few days
Naina: Doctor. Is he alright?
Doctor: There is no problem Ms. Naina. We have just taken few tests. The results will come tomorrow. No need to worry. He is perfectly alright.
Naina: You are saying he is alright. Then what is the need for tests?
Doctor: Ms. Naina. He is alright. The vomit is because he didn't ate anything from the morning. But You said he vomited blood. So to diagnose is there any other problem we took tests. That's it. Don't worry.
Naina: Ok Doctor. When the test results will come?
Doctor: You can come tomorrow morning to collect the reports. After this saline is over. We will discharge him.
Naina and Siddhant: Thank you Doctor.
After Doctor left, Naina looked at Siddhant
Naina: Don't worry Sid. Everything will be alright.
Siddhant smiled: I am not worrying Naina. Tomorrow Roli is coming from the trip. I am planning to collect the reports before meeting her. Because if she knows about all these she will unnecessarily worry about me.
Naina: Ok Sid.
After few minutes, drips were over and Siddhant got discharged from the hospital.
Siddhant dropped Naina in her home. While naina is leaving, Sid called her.
Siddhant: Naina..
Naina: haan Sid.
Siddhant: Can you please come with me to hospital tomorrow?
Naina: Sure. But why?
Siddhant: Naina. I will go to meet Roli directly from hospital. If she sees all the reports she will get worried.
Naina: Ok Sid. I will come with you. After consulting doctor, I will come back to home with reports. You can go and meet Roli.
Siddhant: Thanks Naina.
Next day morning, Naina and Siddhant waiting for doctor in the hospital reception. A nurse came and called Naina and Sid to Doctor's room. They both went there.
Siddhant: Excuse me doctor.
Doctor: Come in. Please have a seat.
Naina: What happened Doctor? Has the results came? Is everything alright?
Doctor: Yes Ms.Naina. The results came. But I don't know how to say this. Anyway you have to know this. Mr. Siddhant you have blood cancer.
Siddhant was shocked to listen to that. It looked like the world has stopped for a moment. Siddhant felt like everything Shattered.
Naina: Doctor. What are you saying? Please test again. It is not possible.
Doctor: No need Ms. Naina. We have checked twice. He got blood cancer and that too in advanced stage. There is no possibility of curing it. His days are numbered. Please take good care of him. If you take good care maximum he can survive for three months. Please take these medicines. It will reduce cough and vomiting blood.
Both Naina and Siddhant were quiet. Both of them had tears in their eyes but controlled themselves.
Doctor: More than medicine only your care can extend his days. Please take good care of him. He needs just love, care and affection more than these medicines. Try to keep him as much happy as possible.
Naina and Siddhant came out from Doctor's room after collecting reports. They started walking towards Sid's car.
Siddhant was still in shock. He didn't opened his mouth. The happy moments that he spent with his family, Roli and friends were revolving around his mind. He is mourning in his heart. He felt like someone pressing his heart hard.
There was complete silence between them. Naina and Siddhant got into his car. Both of them had tears in their eyes. But controlled for the other's sake.
Siddhant: Naina.
Naina: Yes Sid.
Siddhant: Whatever happened here should remain between us.
Naina: But Sid.
Siddhant: Please naina. Promise me that you won't tell this to anyone if you are my true friend.
Naina: Promise Sid. I will not tell it to anyone.
Siddhant: You should also do one help for me.
Naina: Anything for you Sid.
Siddhant: You should act like my lover in front of Roli.
Naina: Siddhant!!!!!!!!
Siddhant: Please Naina. Because of me, her life should not get spoiled. I want her to be happy always. If she continues to love me she will suffer after my death. I don't want that. I want her to lead a happy life. For that she have to hate me. To make her to hate me I need your help. Please help me.
Naina agreed to help Siddhant.
