no tinoo i missed how they got married . I am forced to watch this astounding serial as someone watches it in my house
🤣🤣 The story started with simar ... a bright young girl who had a passion for dance. she only wanted to dance dance dance. But her father jamnalal would not let her dance. He felt good girls dont dance. Then one day, roli, simar and her idiot unmarried bua (an aunt who is a character just like yaa yaa) decided that they would defy jamna behind his back, and enter into a dance competition.
She cleared the first round of the dance competition but then her engagement was fixed. On the same day of the first round, mataji and co. were coming to see her, and roli was "hired" by simar and bua to ward them off until simar reached home. There was a tortuous drive where roli took them through several wrong turns and alleys just to waste time, and after finally reaching simar's home, the mataji and co. was made to wait because roli pretended TWICE to have spilled something onto simar's dress ... simar eventually made it back and climbed in through a window and after the long wait mataji and bhabhis got to see simar and decided she was good for prem.
In a twist of fate, Prem and his brother sattu were, at the time, catering the sweets for the dance competition and both saw simar dancing ... they never really put two and two together, but each time they subsequently saw simar they both went nuts trying to figure out where they had seen her before.
Eventually, Prem and simar became engaged in an engagement function, but both of them had not seen each other prior - only the families had agreed and both of them had agreed to engaging 9😆) with each other because of full trust in their respective parents.
At the time, Siddhant was not in the picture -- he came in much much later - as a prodigal son whom Mataji had thrown out of the house because he had used money she gave him for giving to the temple to gamble with. At the time the Bharadwaj's were steeply in debt, and he gambled the temple money and made a profit 100 times over, thereby generating enough funds to both pay off the debts and give more than twice the money to the temple. However. mataji instead of being grateful to siddhant for having done this, held on to her usool that money meant for pure purposes of temple giving had been made impure by gambling.
But that storyline was to unfold at a later date.
So, back to the original story...simar got it out of her system that she wanted to dance after the first round of the competition. But the results came out that she had ranked top in the first round.
In the meantime, things began to unfold for the engagement and through references to others who were dancing and "bad girls" because of it, simar understood that the Bharadwaj's were not ready to accept a dancer in their family. so she decided to give up her dance and be a good bahu.
However, there was an agent representing Vrindavan (where simar's maika is) and he started blackmailing her that he would tell her father. His name was Hichki and he would be paid a big fat commission if simar participted in the second round. Hichki had made video tapes of her dancing in the first round.
Simar roli, and bua decided it was best for simar to dance because at the most opportune moment they chose to tell the truth to Jamna he conveniently suffered a heart attack for other reasons. . So they decided it would be best for simar to go ahead and buckle to the blackmail because the doctor told them that any upsets to Jamna would probably give him another heart attack that would kill him.
Simar then participated in the second round -- and won that round too. Hichki had told her that if she deliberately screwed up in a bid to get out of dancing, he would tell Jamna - so simar was compelled to do her best. Unfortunately in this turn of events, a photo of simar in the dance competition round 2 came out -- which only Prem saw in the newspaper and nobody else found out.
He went to Vrindavan to talk to simar -- She thought that he would break off the engagement and tell her parents etc. -- but instead he asked to speak with her privately on the terrace and told her that he didnt want to squelch her talent. He decently said that if she wanted to continue dancing - then he would be the one to break it off so she didnt face any problems. But his family wouldnt accept a dancing bahu. Simar, already respecting Prem for his decent behaviour, told him that she made a choice of no regrets to be his wife and give up dancing forever. He asked her to think about it and she said no more thinking necessary. she was committed. So he left.
Bua and roli too were pleased that the engagement was still on, and that they were not faced with the prospect of telling Jamna.
