GEC Watch: Star Plus retains top 3 spots two weeks in a row

Star Plus and Colors have 4 shows each in top 10 weekday shows in Week 20 of TAM 2013. India's Best Dramebaaz finale rates 2.5 TVR

For the second consecutive week, Star Plus has retained the top 3 spots among weekday shows. According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 21 (May 19 – May 25) for the CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus and Colors had four shows each in top 10 weekday programmes while Zee TV and SAB had one show each.

Among weekend programming, India's Best Dramebaaz on Zee TV topped the chart fetching 2.5 TVR over 3 hours of the grand finale. Star Plus' India's Dancing Superstar was the second most watched weekend show.

Weekday toppers

Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus held the No. 1 position and fetched an average of 3.7 TVR (last week 3.7).

Star Plus' Pyaar Ka Dard Hai retained the No. 2 position for the second consecutive week. The show averaged at 2.9 TVR this week (last week 3.0).

Third position was also held by Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. It fetched an average rating of 2.8 TVR (last week 2.9).

SAB's Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma stayed put at No. 4 with an average TVR of 2.8 against last week's 2.9 TVR.

Colors' Balika Vadhu also retained the No. 5 position despite a slight drop in its ratings. The show averaged at 2.6 TVR this week (last week 2.8).

Colors' Uttaran climbed one position this week to No. 6 with an average of 2.6 TVR (last week 2.6)

Sasural Simar Ka on Colors jumped 3 positions to No. 7 with an improved average rating of 2.5 (last week 2.4).

Zee TV's Qubool Hai also slipped two positions to No. 8. The show averaged at 2.5 TVR (last week 2.8).

Madhubala on Colors slipped one position to No. 9 with an average of 2.3 TVR (last week 2.5).

Star Plus's Saathiya made a comeback in the top 10 club this week. It recorded an average of 2.3 TVR (last week 2.3).

Weekend toppers

India's Best Dramebaaz on Zee TV topped the chart fetching 2.5 TVR over 3 hours of the grand finale on Saturday, May 25. The show had fetched 2.0 TVR on Sunday, May 19 and averaged at 2.3 TVR.

Star Plus dancing reality show India's Dancing Superstar garnered 2.2 TVR (last week 2.8).

Sony's crime show, CID, fetched an average TVR of 1.8 (last week 2.4).

Sony's other crime show, Crime Patrol, garnered 1.8 TVR this week (last week 1.7).

Comedy Circus ke Ajoobe on Sony averaged 1.4 TVR (last week 1.6).

Fear Files on Zee TV recorded an average TVR of 1.4 (last week1.6).

Adalat on Sony recorded 0.9 TVR (last week 1.1).

Star Plus' crime fiction, Arjun, recorded 0.9 TVR (last week 1.0).
