TOI: Dipika samson from air hostess to actress

Deepika Samson's story of being an air hostess to a small screen actress can be best described as the story of flying amongst the stars to being a star one day. The audience has seen her grow as an actress in Colors' " Sasural Simar Ka".

The character of Simar seems to be tailor-made for Deepika who, inspite of having dreams, does not slip on her values. ''Just like Simar wants to pursue her passion, I too am hard working and determined. I have also committed mistakes in my life in pursuit of my dreams but fortunately unlike Simar, none of my mistakes backfired. Also I Adore my father just like Simar does" says Deepika. Deepika, who is a self-confessed workaholic, feels that her zeal to excel motivates her to fulfill her fan's expectations.

"Sasural Simar Ka" is a family dramas which has intense emotions and twists. When asked about her journey on the show from a prospective bride to an ideal bahu, she says, "As I am very close to my character Simar, I enjoy portraying this role inspite of the hectic shooting schedules. Also being very close to my family in real life made it easier to connect to my role by taking elements and making my character lively and genuine.''
