Suhana's Corner: In need of space and peace

Hi, everyone. My entry in Mumbai has been quite eventful. The cramped apartments, new faces and adjustments in all quarters of life - have been quite overwhelming.
After a teary eyed farewell from Delhi, we reached Ishaan's relative's house in Mumbai. They live in a small house with a huge family. It really concerned me as to how all of us would manage to stay together in that house. Ishaan and I both couldn't even change clothes without someone barging into the room. There was no concept of privacy. I was disgusted to find the bathroom of the house, stinking. Another shock in store was that we had to sleep apart. I couldn't have a decent conversation with Ishaan as the family kept disturbing us. I called home and when I heard Badi Maa's voice, I couldn't help but breakdown. I missed everyone so much, especially my room.
The next morning brought in more ruckus as everyone was busy filling water. It was so frustrating to not get some peace. I hadn't slept well and was super sleepy, but Sneha bhabhi kept talking nonstop and even had an argument with some neighbour. I had had enough. I needed some peace and quiet, so I went to a park nearby and before I knew it, I was asleep.
I had no inkling that life in Mumbai would be like this. I am finding it difficult to adjust here. Later, I had a thrilling idea so I ended up staying in a hotel and getting a spa treatment for over four hours. Ishaan was mad at me for spending Rs.15, 000 for the same and not telling anyone about my whereabouts. OMG, I had no idea that this detour would worry everyone. I was simply looking for space and peace which now I know are essentials in life.
