Have you ever been in a situation where you contemplate about what your mother said to you? You didn't pay much attention to it at that time but when something happens you realise "my gosh she was so right"! I bet you have thought that at least once in your life. I think about it many times and I try to implement my mothers "pearls of wisdom" whenever applicable.
Seeing the scene where Suhana is speaking her mother's words, pulled the strings of my heart! Vidhisha's wisdom's are so simple, yet so real and so relatable. During adolescence we try to avoid listening to lectures from our mother, but then later we realise how important they were and they still are, for a mother will always want her child to grow up to be good person in every manner possible. That is why she shares her own intellectual thoughts with us, to help us grow, to learn, develop, to become a better person everyday! There lies a beauty that is invisible to the naked eye. A mother gives us her pearls of wisdom but she never wants anything back for it, for it is her unconditional love that makes her want us to become wise, sensible and more beautiful.
The letter spoke in a simplistic manner, yet it was so effective in conveying what is so deep and true to life. To make your in-laws your own, you have to do a little adjustment and give lots of love. This is the fundamental base for almost all homes. Going into a new home, a new family, a new way of living, is daunting for any girl but if she applies this theory into practice, then life will become a little easier. Soon she can call them her own and soon their world will become her world!
Suhana has come a full circle, she at 1st couldn't stand the thought of living in a world that is so alien to her. Her world literally turned upside down as her husband and the family were totally different to what she expected or wanted. Life seemed so cruel but this was a result of her own brash decision.
After finding true love and affection from the Kashyap's, she realised that they were her "family" and not a "crowd" anymore. Badi ma gave her the much needed maternal love and warmth that she was yearning for, so for Suhana she became her "mother figure" and not just her "elder saas". Ishaan's honest, simple and understanding nature drew her closer and closer to him. In him she found a true husband, a precious bond and the love of her life.
Now she reads her mother's letter with more regard as each word has so much value and depth that was incomprehensible before but now they make perfect sense. Each time they become more transparent and crucial for her own growth. Suhana holds the principles with high esteem, for her it's no longer just a letter from her beloved deceased mother, but a guide in life and indelible contribution for her journey into marital bliss.
