Discussion Of The Week!

Hello SGPians😃I was thinking for a while about this topic so came up with a DOTW!As the title says..does a baby track in an Indian TV show give rise to TRPs of the show?🤔

I mean we all saw how SGP was faring before this track..and now with the baby entering the show,we have seen a rise in the show's TRPs havent we?

Baby tracks in hindi serials are cliche...they are used time and again..with the simple formula..adding few melodramatic moments surrounding the baby,who gets to keep the baby,who becomes the mother of the baby etc

So what do you think?Has this track been brought up in the show to give a push in its ratings?And how are you finding this track to be?Interesting,Boring,OK OK..

Nice DOTW shounak...
i think other than babies there are so many tracks that are lke madatory for almost every hindi serial
first the leads will fight ,then end up loving each other, then some family issues, then some extra martial shakk issues, then Amnesia track, and then when both the leads are ready for potraying thier age a little more than what they are...So here comes our BABY track...

Regarding this baby track in SGP...i dont know..i mean we cannot see the results out of it though...Its not on Top 10 shows...is it??😕...i think when SGP tries doing something realistic they loose TRP's

so ya i agree that its a Cliche like every serial😕

Shounak- Mujhe to ye samajh nahin aata log wohi cheez in repeat mode with diff actors kaise dekh lete hain ... kitni baar aadmi wohi cheez dekhega ...i mean treatment can be different but the basic plot remains the same ...SP ki viewership hi wohi hai saas -bahu- baccha - vamp-kitchen politics,office politics ...aur when they want to do naya ..to zabardasti ki shaadi -.to u sleep on sofa i sleep on bed story ... kar dete hain...har show start differently hota hai but after a point sab ek jaise hi dikhte hain...atleast to me...but then mera to dimaag hi ulta hai😆...but SGP ko actors ki acting bacha leti hai 😉

Agree with Pooja, and Shounak good topic. I dont know much about Indian soaps how the baby funda works here , but generally speaking if the story demands it then there is no harm but just bringing the baby on board because you are out of ideas to progress the story is just silly to me. Talking about SGP , I like the baby and all but honestly speaking the RDS drift had much more potential then just bringing the baby in, they left the story or the track unattended and brought the baby seems unrealistic, some how cant connect to it at this moment, if it was done after some time, or may be in a different way rather then finding the baby in park I would have bought it but in the middle of intense situation all of a sudden everything is all rosy rosy, just cant understand, although must say being SGP they are trying there best to keep the SGP essence intact which I appreciate but not sure about the timing and the situation we had just a day before finding the baby in the park. But thankfully we had some beautiful scenes and acting by the actors who are saving the grace and making this track interesting to watch.

What I fail to understand is what TRP baby can bring by just being there . SP or production Houses recycle their own stories time to time . If story has no potential than What difference it can make whether V have it in the first place or not . I will say this , R - D - S drift had so much potential , plus Suhaan might have learned something , They left it there to which makes me believe Suhana learned nothing . While R -D apologize for saying the obvious . Now , A baby , which again everything else makes sense other than Suhana . If they had a story like Rajni still had her doubts abt Suhana & mean while Suhana proves her by taking care of both Disha & baby or something . They have given us so many abrupt ending like SM , KK's marriage , BT , Amnesia !!!!!!!! If they want to start some thing then finish it properly . Otherwise It will b like every other Ghisa Pita Serial .

Actors makes it worth watching , specially new Disha . Must say She is giving Ragini run for her money . She has a strong presence in the scenes , which U can't ignore . Even if she is in the scene with Ragini & that says something . If they have a strong character or story on paper , I doubt they can have any problem entertaining us . When V r not entertained , TRP drops . In current track I must say It's new Disha that makes us all glued to story .

Agree strongly, but I would say instead of Run For The Money to Ragini , Ridhima Kay Saath Khailnay May Maza Aa raha hai, she is complimenting Ragini,s presence with her own, infact the trio are just doing fab , I would say a blessing in disguise as I resented the old Disha , never liked her as the charm and sweetness of Disha was missing before which was obveious in OBS. If only they tackle the RDS drift in a sensible manner then the track has huge potential of growth in Suhana,s personality, Disha,s insecurities and Rajni,s feelings of being ignored.

I agree Di 😆 , They r all running together . Bhairavi , Ridhima , Ragini have a very strong presence . Drift track was so good , I was finally really happy , satisfied with SGP as it was before all the Sushan hoopla started . 😛 Pooja had a wicked sense of vibe to her character I think that throw us all off . They should have seen the Drift scene through . & Suhana learned abt her mistake but but they just jump to baby too soon .

Same plot with diff actors: Its not only on TV, the same thing has been happening in the movies as well and may be in other fields also. Its difficult to come up with new plot lines frequently. We need to live with repetition but ya we can hope for something new always😆.
Coming to why politics(kitchen/office/nation) is popular is cuz there is always this uncertainty involved with it. It encompasses lots of twists and turns keeping the viewer hooked to it even though its the same damn thing. And there is this hype around all these things that u can hate it but can't ignore it😆
