Try rephrasing the whole sentence/question:

"how do people illegally immigrate"

"methods of illegal immigration"

Or even broader: illegal immigration in canada

For the last one, you'd have to read through your databases to get what you need.

Well, this is also common sense stuff: they cross over borders by jumping barbed wire fences; smuggle themselves over in delivery trucks, etc, etc.

Summary

Part of a special issue on immigration. Many people do not want to wait out the long approval process to become landed immigrants in Canada. Some get into the country through arranged marriages, fake refugee claims, false papers, posing as tourists, or bribing officials. A global network of people smugglers is attracted by the big money that can be made by exploiting some of the world's most desperate citizens. Illegal immigrants are housed, fed, given medical care, provided with legal counsel, and allowed to plead their rights to stay in Canada as refugees despite the fact that they are probably economic migrants rather than political refugees. Canadians are generous toward legal refugees but do not look favorably upon those who use illegal means to enter the country.
