I have to disagree, Laxmi.....Mishal Raheja was part of that nominations list and he hands down deserved it ANYDAY over Jay.....yes even counting "original" Ishaan before all this CHAMPU version took over....Mishal is in a whole another league......Jay has won this award merely cuz of SGP's popularity.

I hope Ragini won.....reallyyyyyyyyyy want to see HER getting her due.....Jay ko toh SPA mein bhi award de diya tha....when will Ragini get her due?

@ nureat: i think you are confused jay won in jury category and mishal was nominated in popular category and jay was not.... but agree with what you said..... mishal deserves an award but sadly he has not won any....

Yeah I know Jay was nominated in the jury category but I meant it in general.....Jay was given an award in SPA as well as now in the ITAs strictly cuz of SGP's rising popularity.....while a far more talented actor like MR was shortchanged....chalo let's not go there....no point discussing that in this forum.....

But I want to see Ragini winning an award......she deserves it.

yes u are right.... i always felt jay is very very lucky... after spa now ita..... anyway congrates to jay...... doesn't matter whether mishal wins an award or not for me he is the best actor on tv right now.......

hope ragini wins an award... she is not so lucky when it comes to awards...

I think the times when SPA announced and award of this time, ragini gained a lot of popularity now so i wish she would get award this time if not in the Best actress category of drama but at least must win the popularity award as i think in this award public votes will be considered so little chance of partiality is there and what if she get both the awards, it will be the happiest news for her fans.

As far as Mishal is concern , i don't know about him that who is he ? as i only watch SGP these days so can not comment in this regard but for me jay soni acted very well and present a unique character in a unique way if we not consider recent episodes as i m sure that he will be back again into the character, Ishaan is a simple but a quite unique character which was very difficult to sketch and present which jay did wonderfully and handled this character in a balanced manner with a unique touch just reminded me the characters of Hrishikesh mukherjee, he also remind me some of the simple characters portrayed by Legendary actress Smita Patil as she also possess unique , simple and calm style of acting.

Even while showing agressions, jay remain in the character, i remember the scene when due to suli sudi lot of food wasted and ishaan shouted on suhana, he acted wonderfully in that scene , he delivered the dialogue "tumharae bahar se khana order karne ki wajah se kitna khna bach gaya, tumhe pata hai" , in a very simple way , with out adding loudness he showed his anger but in the limit of character of ishaan who had shown with the qualities like cool, calm etc. There were so many such scenes , even he is so young and it is his first lead roles till date , he put his utmost efforts which is commendable.

So, congrats to Jay Soni and Hope Raginii will get both awards this time, we are waiting, for me she is the superstar 😊

very very disappointed with ita...... just saw on u me aur tv ragini did not win any award.... surekha sikri won in jury category and rashmi desai in popular category.... i just dont know how to react to this news.... how come ragini missed out this time also....
