The episode starts with Saras feeling weak and falling alarming all the family members. The doctor is called and the doctor insists that he must have rest and his medicines on time since he just had a operation. Kumud tells him off like a dutiful wife, asking him to rest and all agree that Saras is not going anywhere including the factory and that Danny and kabir are there to look after the business.
Kumud sees the anonymous letter. She prefers to go alone without telling Saras since he is not well. She gets another letter at the place with a doll picture, asking her to come to a particular address if she wants to know more since it concerns Saras. A perplexed Kumud wonders who is that well wisher, promises to tell Saras everything after her return. The letter brings Kumud to the mental asylum where she sees a lady singing a lullaby to the same doll in the picture. When she sees the lady's face, she is shocked. Saraswati Maa is alive. Kumud is happy and teary-eyed. The doctor tells her that she is unstable but not violent. She just sings a song to the doll which she calls Chandra! Kumud tells the latter that she is Saraswati Vyas, her mother in law.
Kumud cups Saraswati's face and smiles. Just then she gets a call from Saras but does not tell him about her whereabouts. She hangs up and promises to get Saras' mom back to him. The doctor however doesn't approve of Kumud taking Saraswati back home. He tells her that it will not be good for her since she is unstable. Kumud promises to get Saraswati's Chandra back to her, to come daily to meet her and goes away after taking her blessings by touching her feet.
Gumaan is watching the scene with an evil smile. She has a plan but she hopes that Saraswati doesn't recognize her, only then will it work. She goes to her and Saraswati doesn't recognize her. Gumaan tells her how her son Chandra and husband Luxminandan had abandoned her because of the girl who has just visited her. Kumud! Saraswati is anxious and says that she will not let anybody hurt her son.At the Desai haveli Anoushka' s brother is telling Anoushka that she must marry the six pack abs Kabir as he is a great guy and they both look good together. The boy wants to stay there rather than in a hostel and if his sister marries Kabir, he will love it. Anoushka asks him to shut it up but inwardly thinking of how much she will like it to happen as she loves Kabir. Unfortunately Kabir who is listening to the brother and sister, understands things wrongly. He thinks Anoushka doesn't love him!
Kumud is back home and Saras tells her off for not taking his call. He is like - you have no time to spend with me. Kumud gets upset. Saras too. But they both patch up. An upset Kumud is like - how do I tell you that mom is back. Saras can feel that Kumud is tensed and hiding something from him. She has tears in her eyes. Saras coerces her more but Kumud just tells him to trust her and she will tell him when the time is right. Saras who trusts her than himself, agrees. Kumud goes away leaving Saras in thoughts.
Precap: Kumud is in the hospital to meet Saraswati but the doctor refuses to let her meet the lady. Apparently Saraswati's food was poisoned and she has been shifted to another ward.
