It's so easy for Kusum to say to her older sister to go back to Pramad. Because she has never been married to a drunken, abusive and spoiled man. And for her claim that he has changed, he was sneaking alcohol even while he was unwell.
Kusum knew that if she cried and attempted to take her life, people would feel sorry for her. If she wants to prove something, why does she not prove that she cares about Dadaji's feelings.
She has become stupid to the core. As if Kumud's going back to Pramad would ever change how Saras feels about her. Kusum never had the courage and strength that Saras finds attractive to begin with, so the thought of her being his is ridiculous.
