And I think he is talking about the initial BD mansion. Remember the shoddy one before they moved to VC haveli.
And honestly that was a super let down too. I was spoilt after the ethereal Vc haveli ad LN mansion in Dubai. Was very dissappointed with that ugly set and now this makeshift BD mansion.
I wonder y Slb did not create a new set.
Im not supporting MG but i also think there can be no smoke without fire , m sure there must have Been triggers @ SLB front

Think of this like a project...where SP pays the PH in instalments basis shows telecast...
According to grapevine...
Because SLB was not agreeing to SPs demands to turn SC into the TRP aligned crap we are seeing recently, SP tightened the screws by delaying / withholding payments due tp SLB under some pretext or another...
Then SP indicated that it wants to terminate the show by Sep if SLB persists with his vision...
So this now became an acute cash flow problem...imagine the financial crunch if you start missing cash flows which are needed to reimburse expenses incurred for some 90 days of epis...and you are still incurring expenses out of pocket for new epis that you are shooting...
...And then you are told I will shut down the project...
...Meaning if I shut it down you can kiss the 90 days of payments outstanding good-bye...SP may choose not to pay at all...then this case goes into litigation etc. etc..
SLB would have decided then that it is just not worth it...SC was one of his company's projects even though it was dear to his heart...He would also have assumed this sort of blackmail would continue for the entire time the show would run...because he would never change his vision...
The context of what MG is saying is those difficult days when the show had to go on despite SLB bleeding financially...
This extension till Nov is a fig-leaf to save face on both sides...SLB got his dues and left...notice there is no word from SLB on the reasons he left...
Now
- SP has got guys like this MG who will play by SP's rules
- SP has got a TRP friendly show
- The cast would want to continue as long as they can / are comfortable doing their roles...because now the link with the novel has been permanently broken...so this will continue forever with all TRP tricks...I am just waiting for a time-leap to be announced!
- The cast is now having it easy...they get their money due on time...they dont have to try too hard...under SLB the cast must have had to really internalise the characters so as to deliver the subtle expressions required to emote their feelings and context...Now under the current MG direction..its a cakewalk...trot out the standard crying wala expressions and you are done...After SLB they can do this bacchowala khel in their sleep.
- Guys like MG have steady employment
- TRP aunties are happy
- New PH is happy...it got a 2 for 1 deal...IPK2 and SC ...so its revenue doubles overnight..
The only guys lying in the gutter are
- SLB...whose vision is mangled beyond repair ...I can imagine what pain he must be experiencing if he sees the current tracks...despite all his effort and fight he could not save the story he wanted to share being dumbed down...This will be a personal failure...He is a Gujju...He may feel all the more pained that if not for him a venerated Gujju literature classic would not have fallen into the hands of SP to be raped in every epi...Many gujjus are not going to forgive him for sure!

- The story itself

So yeah there is no smoke without fire...but the fire was lit by SP not by SLB.
This is all a subtle PR exercise to bad-mouth SLB and shift the blame to him..
